I was called into HR (for an interview with no coffee) a few years ago because someone complained about that fact that I very, very, very seldom spoke to anyone (i.e. any of the idiots) around me - I simply stated "Because I'm not smart enough to know how to dumb down to your level". They're still trying to figure that one out. Sweet!

@James Hodson To continue on your note, because you get it more than many. Most of this is just male banter. This is how man are with each other. A lot of it is either meant to be funny(teenage humor, as you called it. I like to call it dad humor) or sh*t testing that we guys do to each other to test each others mettle. little of it is really genuine, to be honest. Best thing to do is laugh and play along. when they dont get the reaction they are looking for they tend get quiet & peaceable.

Whatever people have said about you, Kelsey, I will say this. I used to have a real fear of flying. You’ve completely removed that fear. I have watched so many of your videos, in which I’ve learned so much about aircraft, pilots, flying aircraft, and the various situations that pilots are able to deal with. So I am at least one of the very grateful people who can now fly anywhere I want without getting into a panic attack. You helped me. That’s all I care about. I love your channel.

I’m way late to this… But I just found this channel and can’t STOP watching it. How can anyone take a negative to this guy!? I have a martial arts school and one of my students is a airline pilot, this channel helped me relate to him and he laughs when I drop some pilot lingo. Anyways thanks for the great content Kelsey!

I might met you years ago. It was a very turbulent take off. I didn't scream or said anything, but my face showed my terror. Suddenly the man ( who looks like you) started to tell me about taking off's technical aspects. He introduced himself as a pilot. During flight he also explained to me some other things about flying. Since then my fear of flying greatly eased up ( I was in a plane crash). Please continue to do what you are doing. It is very therapeutical as well.

During turbulence: vibrations from the floor are picked up by the feet; the human mind doesn't seem to like that sensation, at all; lifting one's feet off the floor onto the footrest under the chair in front helps cancel that effect.

While him being a "747" pilot raises a few flags I don't see how anybody could dislike him personally unless their just jealous of him. As long as he understands that Boeing as a trash company and that one should avoid using their products if they can I have no problem with him.

Basically I‘ve learned that if you don‘t have something nice to say about someone then keep your negative comments to yourself. After 40 years of aviation, thankfully incident free, I‘ve retired but I wish we had UA-camrs like you when I started. Your videos are highly commendable and it takes a special person to sit in front of a camera and not chastise someone while giving facts. I‘d rather watch your channel and not those so called aviation experts on the news. Keep it going!!!

Just like on one of my favorite UA-camrs channels. Her name is Molly Burke, she’s a blind activist that’s helping to break down the stereotypes of blindness!
She made a recent clip of herself pouring tea, demonstrating how she knows when the tea gets to the top via a small gadget that beeps once it’s reached a certain point.
The ENTIRE comment section, was FILLED with people saying “Your faking being blind! How did you know the teapot was pink?!”
I just couldn’t believe the stupidity...

I applaud your patience and thoroughly enjoy your videos. I grew up around aviation and flirt constantly with the idea of becoming a pilot. A big part of that is getting more familiar with it and your videos are an amazing resource for that background information. A great example was the walkaround and the lounge even the sleep cabin videos. It genuinely helps people get a feel for what the job is like.
Kelsey is playing 4D chess compared to other pilots - while most pilots only get to tell a few people a week they're a pilot, Kelsey tells half a million people he's a pilot at the beginning of every video.
In all seriousness though, keep up the good work!
