Solid review Matt! Glad you mentioned how so many people overlook these cars and go straight to looking at hellcats. For the money the Scat Pack is a damn good deal and I've enjoyed every minute in mine!
I wish the DCT in my M3 snarled like that on upshifts. I think the DSG boxes in Audis snarl like this, but BMW opted to skip the artificial squirt of fuel through the hot exhaust that Audi and Jaguar seem intent on doing.
Pretty sure it's just gonna be the S and RS models. However, a catback exhaust on a turbocharged standard Audi might bring those sounds to life, seeing as under heavy throttle the fuel mixture goes very rich for the turbocharger's rush of compressed air. When the throttle suddenly cuts and boost is interrupted for a moment, you will most likely get that snarl because of the sudden excess of gas in the air-fuel mix. I know even some of the manual cars will do this. My buddy's 2016 Golf GTI (non-performance pack, mind you) with a Borla Catback snarls all the time on shifts, and it's fucking glorious. My guess is the Performance Pack car would be slightly more dramatic.
The Charger doesn't use a ZF unit. It's Fiat's TorqueFlight 8 Speed. It shifts faster than the ZF box and it can handle the torque from these big V8's.
I own a 2015 scatpack charger and the car is amazing. Literally everyone that sees it just stares. It's a very beautiful car and very unique looking. Like Matt said, the engine is really nice and very Murica. Loads of torque but still loves to rev. I love it. Sadly like he said in the video the scatpack 392 and SRT 392 both get overshadowed by the hellcat. But I could care less, car will beat almost anything on the road all while being comfortable and refined. Dodge is building amazing cars right now and all the haters will keep hating until they drive one.
Irving Herrera Quintana gotta love people on the internet instantly using offensive shit talking to get a point across. Of course the scat pack will not beat everything but what I meant is for the money it is one of the fastest cars you can buy. Faster than both the camaro and mustang. I raced a BMW m4 and we were neck and neck. Of course it is not crazy fast. Today's standards 485hp is not all that impressive, especially in a big heavy car lol. But I guess my argument is bang for your buck. Just like the corvettes or hellcats. For the money, they are some of the fastest cars on the road
What? Are you a troll or something? This car destroys 98-99% of the cars on the road, unless you live in fucking Dubai. The VAST majority of cars on the road are NA 4 bangers. Dumbass...
The Scat pack is so overshadowed and underrated because if the hellcat. If the hellcat charger didn't exist, people might realize that this thing costs $44,000, sounds ridiculous, is extremely practical, and makes more power than a corvette. It's a crazy looking car, and year still a huge sleeper. So unfortunate how misinterpreted and forgotten these are.
Maurice Jones id have to kindly disagree for the biggest bang for your buck. You can get 2001-2004 Z06’s for 17-20k. Also 2015-2017 Mustang GT’s are running 22-25k
@@mauricejones3387 My brother who worked at Ferrari and pretty much drove everything you can think of came to the conclusion that his favorite cars he's driven are the dodge 392 charger, a 67 mustang witha boss 302 engine in it, and a Mercedes amg gts. And I can attest to the dodge because I've driven 3 now and they're just so damn good. The sound is one of the meanest I've ever heard. Perfect amount of power to smoke 5.0's and not get yourself into serious trouble.
You know what's awesome.... I have this car in B5 blue and cannot stop watching video reviews even after owning my own.... says a lot for these cars they are BAD A$$ for the money.
As the owner of this car also states I'm in the same boat on Hellcat "not worth it"... there is more to tap out of this... going to put a Whipple on mine.
This and the 392 are the American version of the last-gen C63. 6.2 vs 6.4 n/a V8s. Both only come with TRUE autos, both have very narrow rear tires (245s), both are refined "brutes". Very cool on Dodge's part.
"If you supercharge it, won't you have the same problem?" "I plan on procharging it." "Is that a different thing?" "Yeah. You can offset it." "... Uhm... Okay. I'll take your word for it." Love Charger owners.
He didn't spell it out very well, but he was kind of right. The centrifugal pro charger apparently has better cooling than the top-mount options, in non road racing applications, or so I hear. I don't think it would be better than hellcat, but that's his thinking
+Garrett Guedry He's refering to the fact that you can use an air to air intercooler with a procharger. The stock super charger is water to air, and heatsoaks more easily.
+TheSmokingTire I definitely know what he meant. I was more amused by the back-and-forth you guys had. Regardless, there are a few Charger owners in my local car club who like to say the hot button Charger words.
I wasn't a fan of any American sports coupe/sedan till now. I actually don't own and never owned an American car, driven many just never owned because of the quality. I actually got the opportunity to drive one of these for a week and Dodge was added to my like list. I enjoyed it so much I'm actually looking for the perfect one to buy.
308beatZ I just traded in my 2015 VW Golf R for an 2018 Dodge Charger Daytona 392, debadged it, and boom. Couldn't think of anything else I'd want. Great American sedan.
***** I'm in Houston. It's wayyy hotter here than SoCal. Hellcats probably suffer from heatsoak less than any s/c car produced from a factory (and definitely more than aftermarket hits). It's ability to handle heat is one of it's bragging points. I tested a press Hellcat at Hennessey's track before they hit dealers. We hot lapped it for a solid hour and the trap speed never dropped off. It's impressive.
I just got mine with Pitch Black and Good Year Summer tires with almost all bell and whistles (with exception of the adaptive cruise) under 45K. The only Gripe I have with this car is the tires, I accidentally drifted this ting twice by only barely using half the pedal (first time got scared like hell) and made this thing fly off the ground three times while launching it 0-60 (it was fun though). You literally need to touch the pedal with the tip of your toe (no joke) to not spin the tires at launch. On the freeway I literally smoked 2 mustangs, 1 camaro, several honda's and a got equal footing with a modified Subaru STI. I only manage to pull this thing over 167 MPH in a long strip by the airport (didnt had enough room and cojones to go more). If i get a new set of 275 with either pirelli's or Hankooks, a longer strip and a new set of balls (cojones) I might launch this thing at 185+ MPH :P Gas Mileage got me by surprise, I though I would get only 2-3 days per tank but I actually get 5 to 6 days depending on traffic (I drive 40 miles round with morning traffic) which is a day and a half less than my 01 Chrysler 300 V6 so i spend 5 to 7 dollars more a week ($38-45 week) on today's gas prices. If you re gentle with the car you can get 4 Cylinder mode on 75-85 MPH (you get 26 to 33 MPG) if the road allows, even on street the car will go 4 cylinder between 25 and 45 MPH (32 to 45 MPG), pretty impressive for such a big V8. Still there's times that I drive this car like an idiot (you just cant help it) but still got four days on the tank ;) This Trim is the best bang for the buck for someone looking for strong 4 door sedan with and luxury tech features and a big ass engine that you would normally pay 40K if not more on a Import counterpart. The first weeks I had this car almost everybody from work will take pictures of it and when I got at lunch breaks at the mall I will see at least 2 ppl looking at the car (to much for ego boost). Overall this is officially my first car purchase and all I can say this car was worth every penny and plan to keep until it wears to the ground (or until I pay it after 5 years who knows)
These cars are EXCELLENT road cars. I rented a less powerful variant of this model and couldn't believe the shifts on a non-paddle one. It was fast and comfortable which I wouldn't mind taking long road trips in. I spent about 20hrs total in one of these and was impressed how well it performed for everyday driving.
The Scat Pack is a better deal. There are multiple retailers offering high quality super charger kits and installation specifically for the Scat Pack, resulting in 700-900 horsepower for less than 10k more.
+John Goepel Wrong! You're not factoring in the extra cost of the standard, exclusive features of SRT Hellcat versions which aren't available or can't be added to the Scat Pack models such as: unique Hellcat hood & front air dam, Red & Black keys which allow you to limit or increase HP (500 hp limit with black key/ 707 hp with red key) larger front Brembo brakes, bigger wheels which are also lighter (forged alloy vs cast alloy for Scat Pack), wider tires, 3 mode adaptable suspension & SRT performance pages which allow for specific component & software settings of the car, not to mention the numerous in-depth mechanical changes Dodge has implemented for the Hellcat only. www.hotrod.com/features/1506-15-things-you-didnt-know-about-dodges-performance-pages/
lol and you have no warranty. Even if you buy a brand new scatpack and got a FREE supercharger. You now have a 45k scatpack with 700hp with no warranty. That's why manufacturers make high performance models. For this reason that owners won't have to touch it.
+MrManuel1329 You can get the good suspension and tires from factory, but this guy obviously didn't care to option for it since he cares more for his mustang
+daison96 It means lots of things. It means animal shit, it also means to run away quickly from something. It's all dependent on context and how it's being used.
Oh how times have changed. I remember not to long ago everyone was so upset over the chargers exterior turning into a larger Dodge dart lmfao. Now everyone loves it WTF!
am i the only one that burst out laughing when i saw the owner??? thats exactky what I expected the owner to look like before i clicked the video ahahhahah
I know this video is a few years old but Matt seems to be enjoying the car a lot more than the owner does and giving it the credit it deserves. As somebody who owns a Challenger Scat Pack, this guy really hasn't done his research like he claims. For what he wants, he should have just gotten the Hellcat and possibly done a pulley swap since everyone has seen the stupid amounts of power that it can make modified. I've talked to fellow Mopar owners, technicians, and read online forums and a common thing I've heard is that the 392 HEMI doesn't do well with boost. It's a great motor to keep stock or lightly modified but keep it NA if you go mods. If you want to heavily modify a Charger/Challenger and boost it, the 5.7L from what I've heard is actually better at handling boost. The Hellcat HEMI's block is based off the 392's block but one of the reasons Dodge went down to a 6.2L displacement is so it could handle the Supercharger better compared to the 6.4L. All it really has is a shorter stroke but that gives the block more strength since it's a little smaller. That's what I've heard at least. The 392 is happiest NA and it's a very good NA motor at that. I personally want to put a cam in mine next year along with a nice set of long tube headers and a good dyno tune and see what it's capable of. If I remember correctly, before the 2015 refresh Dodge used to offer a "Scat Pack Package" for the R/T and SRT models in 3 stages. The stage 3 was a cam swap and tune and it made around 550 hp or so. I plan to keep mine a street car but I think that would really crank it up to the next level. But anyway, I know a lot of people in the comments here are stereotyping the owner and I get it but don't let this guy fool you. Most fellow owners I've talked to have a head on their shoulders. This guy needs to re-evaluate his decision.
Kenneth Bass I mean Matt says why the Hellcat pack is better for power and with the supercharger. The guy then replies about how he prefers the scatpack but plans to supercharge in the future and Matt basically says why not just buy the Hellcat then xD It came across as the guy made a poor decision (or couldn't afford the hellcat) for the route he wants to take with the car and is now regretting it a little but trying to justify it to himself. I had a similar thing when I bought my current car, I got a BMW E46 330ci but kinda wished I just saved and bought the M3. But I don't try and convince myself I made the best choice I was just too lazy to save and jumped at the first car that came up.
+Ze Germanz Except this is a $46K muscle car that pretty much shits all over every single other car for the same price. Theres no reason to justify it. If it costed like $90K then yes it would be hard to explain it.
+Ze Germanz Because a charger scat pack + an aftermarket supercharger is a lot cheaper than buying a hellcat. Wasn't that obvious? Seriously, if you don't even understand that, then I don't know what to tell you.
+Ze Germanz I get what you're saying, but if the scat pack has pretty much everything the same as the hellcat but the hellcat after tax etc is $20k-30k more and a pro charge kit is say $5k for the same power why wouldn't you do that..
I love how Matt gives the car so much more credit than the owner does haha. I have a 2015 Challenger Scat Pack with the Shaker and the car is so much fun. As much as I want to drive the Hellcat to see what it's like, the Scat Pack and the SRT 392 for that matter deserve more credit than they get. The 392 HEMI is an awesome engine and has more than enough power to get you in trouble if you don't respect it. Tons of torque but it's also a rev happy engine which impresses me for having such a big displacement. Mine is a manual too and it's so much fun to shift through the gears with that V8. The size of the car really does mask the speed too like they said, plus it's comfortable and driver focused at the same time. I put a strut tower brace in mine which made a big difference in the car's turn in behavior. Now it just needs wider tires, long tube headers, a cam and tune down the road to crank it up a notch! Also, the car gets A LOT of attention, everyone loves it.
Not sure if it's just me but this front camera angle does a better job of giving the audience that sense of speed. Hope I'm not the only one that feels this way.
Sounds like this guy thinks he can make his Scat Pack nearly as powerful as a Hellcat with just a supercharger, while making it more reliable. Good luck with that bud.
if you are talking about just pure HP to the wheels, then yes. That is very reasonable you can add 200HP to the wheels from supercharging/tune then you'd be in the hellcat neighborhood for sure.
nelsonehernandez1 while on some cars you are right, not on the 392 though. To push 200hp extra you would need to build the motor to handle it. Also, the suspension on hellcat is much different than a scat pack.
@@nelsonehernandez1 The 6.4 isn't made to handle boost. The 6.2 is. Plus the hellcat has a warranty. His scat pack with a supercharger will not. The end answer is.....the hellcat is a better choice (if you're wanting to modify your charger).
It feels AMG because this platform is from Benz. It is an old platform from the Daimler Chrysler days. That 8 speed is glorious. FCA did really good getting that trans in all there stuff.
I've been watching your videos for the last few days now and love the content. Have you done an SRT jeep yet? I have a 2015 and I love it. I think you'd really enjoy it. Especially the 2014 and later years with the 8spd auto. Plus you'd be shocked at how the truck transforms from auto to sport mode to track mode. Anyway. Great channel man. Love it. You're making me want that RS7 after watching the reviews
+S Miller yes definitely poo. The other one is called the Hellcat so scat pack obviously makes you think cat scat. Somebody in marketing was a beavis and butthead fan.
American cars always leave room for tuners unless it's a purpose built vehicle like a boss 302 or z/28. the average consumer will be fine with 245. the tuners will do what they do regardless of what it came with.
As an LX owner it is damn near criminal how badly under-tired all the LX-platform cars are. 485 horsepower and only a 245mm tire on it. The Hellcat has 707HP and only a 275 tire. There's no excuse for that, because you can easily fit a much wider tire than stock without any issues.
After talking to several Hellcat drivers the heat soak issue doesn't exist. Two of the guys did laps at Willow in August. No issues. That's a Z06 issue.
The cover pic was taken by a guy named Matt Perez. He runs Cynosure cinema. Does some incredible work. Check out his page. He has done a lot of different cars.
You can get a hellcat challenger with 3.000 miles for in the 50s now. They didnt really retain their value well, but pretty good fun per dollar at 55-60k.
I looked at a Challenger Hellcat in SoCal. They were willing to sell it at $5k over. I said sticker and they said if their buyer didn't come in over the weekend they would work with me. The last Ram truck (2015) had horrendous build quality and from what I've read the Brampton Ontario plant where these are made have antiquated paint shops which leaves me a bit wary about buying something like this. I have a 2016 Mustang GT Performance Pack and I have to say it's made much better (Sync3 is awesome). My 2014 C7 has a high level of build quality as well. I'm almost willing to let the quality issues go to experience the 707 hp.
+nblax41 Rams are also made in Warren Mi. Regardless of where they are made they just aren't as well made as Fords and Chevy's. I know, I have owned them all.
Great video Matt. I love all of trim levels for the modern mopars. It is unfortunate that the Hellcat overshadows it's siblings but with a name like Hellcat and the HP to boot, it's no surprise. I myself went with a 15' Challenger SRT 392. The car is great but I do have Hellcat fever after finding a place willing to sell for MSRP. I will say that these stock engines do not like boost. They run like 11:1 compression ratios and the internals just aren't made to handle boost. There's a reason SRT took the 392 and replaced 90%++ of the parts so it could handle the heat and pressure of 707hp. If you supercharge it and forge the bottom end and internals, you might as well buy a Hellcat.
Matt do you follow Corbin Goodwin's UA-cam channel all? You know, the guy who built that insane rx7. You should at least take a look at his channel, he's building the most insane turbo Rolls Royce. It's nearing completion, and I'm speaking for everyone when I say we have to see you give it a One Take.
now that is a proper sedan ! American Muscle for the whole family. and what is that stretch of road btw. ? it is beautiful, all freshly tarred and well maintained, looks literally like you could eat off of the tarmac.
+RAJohnson713 I have a 2015 SRT 392 Challenger at MSRP $47,500. The only option I don't have is laguna Leather and auto trans. I think Dodge is getting over on Scat Pack buyers. The base price of the SRT Starts at S45K with all of the Scat Pack option and more.
I really want to like these big overpowered for the chassis kind of cars. I just cant figure out the appeal though. Especially if you live ~30 min from the canyons.
+Brent Moore The biggest appeal of the Charger in my opinion is the comfort. The comfort and build quality of Chrysler vehicles in general has substantially improved under Fiat. Also if your wife wants you to get something for the family, and you want to get something that is fast. This would be the compromise. Note the child seat in the back.
+Kevin Smith Fair point. But if really what you want is comfy power, why are you not looking into the used luxury market where all the real deals are at? Just one quick example would be this 2009 Audi WITH A 5.2L V10, pushing 435hp for ~$20,000 less than that charger. tinyurl.com/hrqulpr The list could go on and on.
+Brent Moore the old e55 are also a great buy for performance per dollar but the thought of any used high dollar performance euro car out of warranty scares the scat out of me.
+Hugh Janus I was in the Army for 10 years and then medically retired after breaking my back, and now I go to school and work in the satellite communications/control/engineering field. Though I may look like a drug dealer, I am far from it.
+Kenneth Bass, well I admit I wrote that wrong. I am a vet as well, thanks for your service and sacrifice. As far as cars go I wish I had your problems. Congrats on your continued success.
I'm still waiting for the day I see a 95-03 Nissan Maxima SE on this channel. Only cause my mom and I drive one but we're in the Valley, and mine's not modded yet. It's a shame there's probably not any nice canyons in San Joaquin Valley area because there's so many nice cars out here.
I have THE Srt 392 GO MANGO. Lemme tell the track mode gives a big upper hand. I did a three way race with a scat and ss. I put my srt in trck mode and THAT really gave me the upper hand. All n all 392 stand ☝ bc we dusted the ss. However, my srt WAS victorious at the end of the day!!!

Gas Mileage got me by surprise, I though I would get only 2-3 days per tank but I actually get 5 to 6 days depending on traffic (I drive 40 miles round with morning traffic) which is a day and a half less than my 01 Chrysler 300 V6 so i spend 5 to 7 dollars more a week ($38-45 week) on today's gas prices. Still there's times that I drive this car like an idiot (you just cant help it) but still got four days on the tank ;)
This Trim is the best bang for the buck for someone looking for strong 4 door sedan with and luxury tech features and a big ass engine that you would normally pay 40K if not more on a Import counterpart.
Those shifts are amazing
Looks like alot of fun :D ...... and comfy with those air conditioned seats :D ......
ever since I subscribed to you, I've been running into your comments everywhere!
Hey joe !
Its called the scat pack because it makes you go Code Brown
The Scat Pack offers a lot of value which is why its so great.
New drinking game: Take a shot every time Matt says "Poo". :D
...because "scat" as we (Internet pervs) know it has changed meanings over time...noone thinks of freestyle jazz vocalizing oddly enough...
I actually looked up "scat" because I was thinking why would a car company brand itself with shit...needless to say I was traumatized. Thank you Dodge
The Scat Pack is a better deal. There are multiple retailers offering high quality super charger kits and installation specifically for the Scat Pack, resulting in 700-900 horsepower for less than 10k more.
+John Goepel But the hellcat is tested at the factory everything is made to resist at 700 hp.
+Chris723 Guess it depends on whether or not you're willing to spend an extra 10-15 grand for the Hellcat, but have less horsepower.
Yeah the scatpack is 45k and hellcat 60. But if you put a supercharger in for 10k wouldnt you spend the extra 5k for factory quality ?
+John Goepel
Wrong!
I under estimated this car but the Engine with the ZF 8 speed alone is worth the buy springs and tires would complete the package.
+MrManuel1329 You can get the good suspension and tires from factory, but this guy obviously didn't care to option for it since he cares more for his mustang
what is the factory suspension upgrade for scat pack?
It's weird to hear how negatively the owner speaks about his Dodge Charger. He loves his Ford Mustang.....Oh well!
Thank you Matt for mentioning the poo thing, it bugs me that Dodge named this the 'Scat' pack...
I've always hated that...
I've never thought of that, I always thought of the classic challenger scat pack
the word "Scat" does not mean poo. All y'all got smart phones, look it up.
+daison96 It means lots of things. It means animal shit, it also means to run away quickly from something. It's all dependent on context and how it's being used.
I wanna see this dudes mustang, he's been talking about all day...
same here
"Morning everybody, ugh, it's raining so that means gonna see how fast I can go before the back end gives out." Lol
THE SCATMAN - Scatman John
+.XeviouS. deeeee dada da da da
Oh how times have changed. I remember not to long ago everyone was so upset over the chargers exterior turning into a larger Dodge dart lmfao. Now everyone loves it WTF!
***** I like it in Srt and Hellcat trim but that is about it tho.
am i the only one that burst out laughing when i saw the owner??? thats exactky what I expected the owner to look like before i clicked the video ahahhahah
+funkaydonkey Yes you are the only loser laughing!
after reading some of the comments its clear that im not the only one though so.....
+funkaydonkey I'm so proud of you! LOL
good for you now go back to your nissan altima.. you're wa out of your zone bud.
nope. dont own an altima. I actually own a toyota aristo (yay twinturbos) which i imported 2 years ago thankyouverymuch...
I love it when people try really hard to justify their purchase xD
Host-"what made you decide to get the Scatpack?"
Guy-"explains reasons..."
You-"I love when people try to justify their purchases".
Kenneth Bass I mean Matt says why the Hellcat pack is better for power and with the supercharger. The guy then replies about how he prefers the scatpack but plans to supercharge in the future and Matt basically says why not just buy the Hellcat then xD
It came across as the guy made a poor decision (or couldn't afford the hellcat) for the route he wants to take with the car and is now regretting it a little but trying to justify it to himself.
Also, the car gets A LOT of attention, everyone loves it.
homeboy is thinking about only one thing, "please please god don't let him total my car"
This guy sounds like he should have brought his mustang instead . I was hoping for a fan of the car .
Fiore Tutta I believe he owns this and a Mustang. That's what he said.
You probably just ruined that guys whole experience by saying the name of his car reminds you of shit.
this guy stays sneak dissing peoples cars
+thesmoothone Yes he only owns the best cars! LOL
Very cool car, and cool owner (Ken). There are other very special models of the new Charger besides the Hellcat. very badass.
this car is seriously quick.
Just bought my 2018 Scat Pack in graphite today, the car is a beast.
*Start video
*See owner
"Yeah this makes sense"
Steve Acone lmao sameee
I have this car and I fucking love it!!! I have the B5 blue with the other rim option
Sorry same rims as the one in the video
If I bought the Scat Pack, I would absolutely get it in brown. Then put yellow circle stickers all over it.
DZEMAG Your weird...
I like this car better than the Challenger in 2016. It has great lines IMHO. I have a 1LE, but I wouldn't mind having one of these as a daily.
LOL don't you hate it when you hit the gas pedal super hard and your kid doesn't even notice and shows no emotion. hahahaha
Recent bought a 2018 Charger scat pack in B5 blue. Love it.
Was that a HILLARY 2016 sticker in the back?
phil tripe Well obviously someone found it funny...you're thick.
+chamade166 Funny
passenger is looking like"pls slow down, its just for show"
Scat Pack=Shit on the competition!
Not sure if it's just me but this front camera angle does a better job of giving the audience that sense of speed. Hope I'm not the only one that feels this way.
i was waiting for him to loose it, but that car performs well with wet roads, my G8 would have me on pins and needles.
Love the g8 and the new ss sedan. I'm a GM and mopar owner(c6 heads cam vette and 16 scat pack challenger).
This guy is the epitome of what a Charger owner looks like.
Guy in passenger seat looks scared.
Lol yeah I don't think he's enjoying dude driving his car
Never been a Dodge guy. But they got my attention with the Dart, and I really do like the newer chargers...
It's called scat pack cause it collects all scats while it passes through them along the road. Honda, Toyota, BMW, Ford and all kind of shit.
scat is a term that's basically saying 'get out of here really fast'. example: "scat! you mangey dog"
Poop
Poop
+colormesarge L
I just tell people my car likes doing butt stuff.
When I hear "scat" I think of scatman john..
Proud to own one of these
Awesome video Matt and The Scat Pack is one of amazing car in the world with 6.4L and 485H + 8ZF Auto
Hell no it's pure shit
I've been watching your videos for the last few days now and love the content. Have you done an SRT jeep yet? I have a 2015 and I love it. I think you'd really enjoy it. Especially the 2014 and later years with the 8spd auto. Plus you'd be shocked at how the truck transforms from auto to sport mode to track mode. Anyway. Great channel man. Love it. You're making me want that RS7 after watching the reviews
They actually called it the 'scat' pack
+S Miller
yes definitely poo. The other one is called the Hellcat so scat pack obviously makes you think cat scat. Somebody in marketing was a beavis and butthead fan.
Matt just not calling the guy on all the bullshit "facts" hes saying is absolutely hilarious 😂
When I saw this guy he definitely looks like someone who would own a charger.
Also wtf is dodge thinking, 500+HP on 245 all seasons?
+No This makes 485HP, don't know where you're getting 500+ from...
I see we have a rich guy here lol
1) Rich or in Debt? 2) how do you know? 3) why do you care?
Rich? He probably has a decent job but these aren't like crazy expensive
+Aidan red But two $40k+ car loans cost a bit of money, like more than one $90k car would. He has money to burn
^
Bob Hope I'd do a lot for $40k
After talking to several Hellcat drivers the heat soak issue doesn't exist. Two of the guys did laps at Willow in August. No issues. That's a Z06 issue.
The cover pic was taken by a guy named Matt Perez. He runs Cynosure cinema. Does some incredible work. Check out his page. He has done a lot of different cars.
This guy is living my dream I want a Charger Scat Pack and 2015 Mustang GT.
Aspen Look A hot wife or girlfriend but kids are later
$46k! Man that's cheap. Love me some skank packs.
Cheap? You can get a 5.7 for a lot less.
+Dodge 318 Cummins why have a 5.7 when you can get the poo pack .
rather have a z06 for that price
+Jay olive Of course you would! LOL u loser
+Rob Wwhit stick your opinion up your ass 🖕🖕
'MUSTANG HAS A EUROPEAN FEEL" LOL
iT's So ReFiNeD
Matt when will the one take for that Jaguar be out, it looks pretty badass.
Wednesday
+TheSmokingTire hey matt have you guys don't a hellcat challenger?
+Jehad Faleh in manual
+TheSmokingTire when will the kia one take be out (;
+Jehad Faleh yes I have
You can get a hellcat challenger with 3.000 miles for in the 50s now. They didnt really retain their value well, but pretty good fun per dollar at 55-60k.
so this guys daily is faster than his track car? interesting.
Scat makes me think of Scatman John, "I'm the Scatman, bee ba ba ba bee oh!" :) .
The Hellcats I've driven felt built well....
+scterka Rams are made in Mexico, they have nothing to do with Dodge plants in Ontario
+nblax41 Rams are also made in Warren Mi. Regardless of where they are made they just aren't as well made as Fords and Chevy's. I know, I have owned them all.
+scterka Take the money for the hellcat, sell your Stingray, combine that money and buy a Z06. Faster than a hellcat and the handling to go with it.
+Vernon Price Depends if you want a muscle car or a sports car
He says he doesn’t like the turns lol “I’ve got a mustang gt” can’t wait to hear you call me from the telephone pole.
I know he said it has the same transmission as the Hellcat but doesn't the Hellcat have a stronger transmission?
RageTechno no
yes the scat and SRT's have the ZF 8HP70 the hellcat has the ZF 8HP90 same transmission but it is stronger in the hellcat
I got to drive the Challenger Scat Pack a couple months ago... what a powerhouse lol
+Luqman Baig LOL AHAHAHAHAHA
I never knew scat meant poop until this video. Lol, In fact never heard the word in my life till this car.
+A42yearoldARAB I saw it in a hiking book recently...
Anybody who hasn't seen this build go look it up. It's amazing, if you liked his rx7 you'll love his Rolls.
+Alex Sarver I know about his Rolls Royce. I turned his front seats into a couch in my house.
+TheSmokingTire Does Dodge still utilize the old Merc Chassis on those cars?
+Red Cyclone's Fury yes still the same chassis from 1992, but its still good
+Alex Sarver Is this a joke?
Nice car, love the noise. And great roads!
lol the money hes gunna spend on going boost plus the car he could buy a used hell cat.
Used hell cat? Sticker price or more they are hard to get new you won't find any used.
now that is a proper sedan ! American Muscle for the whole family. and what is that stretch of road btw. ? it is beautiful, all freshly tarred and well maintained, looks literally like you could eat off of the tarmac.
245 in the rear?? Come on dodge
if you have enough to get the car you have enough for tires
+RAJohnson713 I have a 2015 SRT 392 Challenger at MSRP $47,500. The only option I don't have is laguna Leather and auto trans. I think Dodge is getting over on Scat Pack buyers. The base price of the SRT Starts at S45K with all of the Scat Pack option and more.
Rodney Dunn bullshit. My scat pack is 48k msrp, and I didn't get the sunroof or painted roof.
+Brent Moore one major repair on that car could cost a year's worth of lease payments on a Scat Pack.
+TheSmokingTire Beat me to it. Used german luxury cars have insanely low prices for a reason lol.
+Brent Moore the old e55 are also a great buy for performance per dollar but the thought of any used high dollar performance euro car out of warranty scares the scat out of me.
Matt...you've been watching too many "special videos" (re: scat) ;) .
You sure do get alot for the money on these scat pack cars!
This dude has a 2015 Mustang as his weekend/canyon car? What drugs is he peddling?
+Hugh Janus I was in the Army for 10 years and then medically retired after breaking my back, and now I go to school and work in the satellite communications/control/engineering field. Though I may look like a drug dealer, I am far from it.
+Kenneth Bass, well I admit I wrote that wrong. I am a vet as well, thanks for your service and sacrifice. As far as cars go I wish I had your problems. Congrats on your continued success.
+Hugh Janus Funny!
The "Scat" in Scarpack was in reference to "Scat Racing" back in the 60's and 70's
I love the owners face when someone else is accelerating their car! Lmao
SRT 392 is a DIFFERENT Charger model which is higher than Scat Pack.
Please update title.
RNM AutomotiveAddiction the 6.4L is 392
I have THE Srt 392 GO MANGO. Lemme tell the track mode gives a big upper hand. I did a three way race with a scat and ss. I put my srt in trck mode and THAT really gave me the upper hand. All n all 392 stand ☝ bc we dusted the ss. However, my srt WAS victorious at the end of the day!!!
All dodges cars are underrated, love em
