According the CFR, 371, I don't believe a dispatcher can legally dispatch for two or more carriers. IF they dispatch for two or more, they are required to get their broker authority. And, IF they get their broker authority, they cannot get loads from other brokers on the load boards - that would be double brokering which was done away with in legislation MAP21. Correct me if I'm wrong.

What about if independent truck dispatcher and carrier using different factoring company then how dispatcher get paid? Because, Invoice and POD (BOL) will be sent to carrier or to carrier factoring company...!!

I kind of just want to jump in the game and learn from real life scenarios.. I somewhat have the basics fundamentals, to work independently. Just need to hop in the game and start making money.
You definitely want to get some knowledge on how to use the load board, before diving in. Drivers will drop you easily if you don’t know how to use the load boards and brokers will disconnect on you.

What is the differentiating factors between a Freight Agent and a Truck Dispatcher?
Freight agent in a person who works under a brokerage to broker freight. A dispatcher gets loads for a carrier.
What I’m confused at is it the carrier that needs the factoring company or the independent dispatcher that needs to have it?
