  • Hello Everyone,
In this video I will be sharing my process for making a Regency Dress that is inspired by several dress from Bridgerton. I especially loved the lace gowns that characters like Kate and Edwina wore. Many other characters including background characters also wear lovely lace dresses and are often worn to events and balls. I wanted to create an evening dress that reminded me of the many different ballgowns I saw in Bridgerton and I wanted to make full use of the lovely bordered edge of my lace fabric - so I made this ballgown.
The Ballgown skirt is unique because it only has one seam in the center back, so there is minimal disturbance to the bordered lace design.
My dress is made with a cream satin poly cotton with a lace layer on top. I've made two dresses in this video, one with orange lace and one with lavender lace. And I think you could have alot of fun mixing and matching your lace and fabric colors.
The dress is made using my ‘Mix and Match Regency Dress Pattern’ which can be found in my Etsy shop and features, a 3 Dart Bodice, Fitted Sleeves, and a Ballgown Skirt.
You can check out my other Videos to see how I made other Bridgerton inspired dresses using the other Skirt Variations and pattern pieces.
