      Many metal drummers use them live because it lets them reduce the strength required to get a good kick sound.

    • @TheDivergentDrummer
      @TheDivergentDrummer 5 місяців тому +34

      It's termed 4 way independence and if you are going to get anywhere playing drums, it needs to be mastered. I't more than just hand / eye / leg. More like Right arm to left leg, left arm to right leg, right leg to right arm, left arm to left leg. Now, do something different on EACH limb. Or, try dividing beats into 3 notes per beat in a bar of 4 beats, say with your hands, but under that be playing 32nd notes ( 32 notes in a bar of 4 beats) constantly and consistently with your feet. Keep in mind that 32 can NOt divided by 3. So the timing of those '3s' on the hands will not exactly line up with the feet.

      Why are people encouraging her to use an extreme metal technique that destroys the meniscus, and isn't necessary _at all_ for the speed she's at?
      Heel toe would be proper technique here. Seeing as there's no extreme metal on her videos _at all,_ this is terrible technique, and unnecessary to do, with proven immediate deleterious effects on tendons crucial to standing and walking.
