Beautiful ride there amigo. You can put me down as seriously envious. Also, pretty bada$$ looking ride and rider. I am awaiting my 2022 version of the very same bike, also in black. It should be here next week. Fingers crossed...
Hey guys! Some additional details on this ride that got edited to save time.. 130 miles round trip.. 4800 feet gain in altitude (Home to Echo Lake).. 85 Deg (F) in the city and 63 Deg (F) at Echo Lake .. GW told me 47MPG average when I got home.. around 3.5 hrs trip time.. I stopped halfway (Echo Lake) to learn that the diner wasn't serving food just yet and a couple stops for pictures.. I had zero rider fatigue and wished I had more time to ride longer.. all around great ride!
Awesome video! Can’t wait to enjoy these areas when I retire. Btw, GoPro makes a little remote that shows you if it’s recording along with your memory and battery status. Amazon has some cheap Chinese knock offs that work too. I Velcro mine to my handle bar
Beautiful area indeed! Your videos really nice clarity. BTW. There’s a yearly iconic bicycle race up that 14k+ foot Mt Evans every July. The Bob Cook Memorial Hill Climb. Over the years winners ride that 28 miles to the summit, in low O2 levels, in around 1 hr 43 min. Ride safe and ride often. Good stuff coming out that Rocky Mountain High camp.
I was mapping out the idea to ride from Tampa Bay area to Pikes Peak. Long haul just to get there. The trouble with living in Florida it's long ride to practically all scenic states.
Super video and beautiful scenery. Waiting for Spring so I can take my Wing over to the White Mountains. What kind of camera and mic are you using? Great voice clarity. Keep on riding!
NICE BIKE I RIDE A 18 HONDA GOLDWING DCT I BE PASSING THOUGHT COLORADO IN JUNE GOING TO WYOMING TO VISIT MY DAUGHTER IS THERE A GOOD ROUTE TO TAKE OR JUST STAY ON 25 TO STRAIGHT THROUGH THIS WILL BE MY FIRST TRIP ALL THE WAY THROUGH.
Hey Has-bro.. there are a few round about ways to get to Wyoming.. how much time do you have to burn? If you are on a schedule.. I would just zip up 25 and get to family. We have gotten a lot of snow this year.. and June should clear most of the snow at altitude.. Trail Ridge Road through the RMNP is a great option if you have time to burn. Then you could head north out of Grandby, CO and go through Steamboat Springs.. could add 4+ hours to your route depending on where you are heading in Wyoming, but the view will be worth it. Ride safe!
How are your Dunlops doing for wear? On my Harleys I was getting around 20k miles out of the American Elites on the rear. I only have 1,300 miles on my new Goldwing and riding conservative breaking it in I see I am down to 6.5 / 32nds already, they were 8 / 32nds new. If they keep that up I won't even get 10k miles out of them. Edit: Have you ever rode 14 between Fort Collins and Waldon? Fun ride....
Hey Doug.. Im going to do a short vid on tire wear.. At this point Im not real sure how many miles to expect on these tires.. I have a bad habit of running tires too long and getting down to the threads after an all day ride.. Yes! I have ridden 14 .. I call that the Poudre Canyon Run.. and that will be in a upcoming video!
@@MileHighAdventures I had fun on it back in 2017. I have some videos on my channel of a couple sections. I was on a Road Glide with the bearings in the rear axle failing so the rear end was a bit squirrelly. I took it in to get checked in Loveland and they told me it was fine. By the time I got back to Canada even the cast wheel was destroyed. Harley replaced it all including the wheel under warranty.
The video is amazing! You did such an awesome job with the cameras! I wonder how you did it because I did not see a bracket on you helmet.. Did you strap it to your chest? Was it a GoPro or are you using something much better?
Hey Ken! Thanks so much for the positive feedback! I use a GoPro 10 and a Dango Design Gripper Mount that just clamps on to the front of my helmet. I bought that mount because I plan on making some dirt biking vids and it easily clamps to my other helmets.
Nice ride...thanks for taking us along with you on the Goldwing. Beautiful scenery!
Glad you enjoyed the ride!
Awesome views for a rider from Ohio who is waiting for spring.
Hey Easy.. I cannot WAIT for spring this year!!

@@MileHighAdventures Wow. Thanks!
What brand drivers backrest do you have?
Hey Wing.. I got that from Ultimate Seats last year.. very easy to install!
@@MileHighAdventures The seat and the backrest?
Just the backrest.. the seat is stock!
So this was just click bait since you didn’t ride up to Mt. Evans?
Don't see maps while riding. 😄

Thanks for the letter Larry!
