I have the 2022 Honda Rebel CMX1100 DCT, and I have to totally agree with you about “Sport Mode”!! Even a smaller bike like my 1084cc is a bit of a challenge to calm the bike down, as it wants to pull quickly down the road!!! The Goldwing is definitely on my bucket list. Awesome video! 👏
I love the HJC helmet. I have the 90S Carbon. Super to own. Every time I want to cheer myself up, I ride in Sport Mode. It makes you forget the size of the machine. Just amazing. I come home with a smile.
Hey Al, I am super pleased with the helmet. I picked it up last year after wearing the same helmet for 10yrs plus.. Sport Mode is addictive for sure.. Im gonna be in withdrawals after today's ride..
@@Doug_Morgan Are you using the SENA 20B comm for the 90S? If yes, how is it working for you? I am debating what comm to order. The 20B is made for the 90S. Looks very well made for it.
Hey 👋 great video and nice to check out some Colorado. My dct tour was due May 31st now they tell me another few weeks. Very frustrating but all you guys making vids helps. Thanks!
I have that same bike. Just got back home to Minnesota from visiting Carbondale. I've got 21k miles in about 15 months. Came from a 2017 Road Glide Ultra. Great upgrade. Sport mode offers a great shift pattern, but I find the throttle to be too twitchy for general use. I end up using manual/Tour mode more often than sport mode. Love this bike, though. I think my friends are tired of hearing about it. Hehehe. Love the video! Thanks for sharing!
Sport Mode is a beast and I love it. I use it mostly when I'm in the mountains having fun, it also helps when passing vehicles. Sure it will pass in Touring mode but the quick throttle response and change in the growl of the exhaust gets me every time.
4 mods I did on my Wing, 3 I feel are mandatory: 1 Radar detector 2 Skid pan to protect front of motor 3 PPF forward facing surfaces Four is optional but was well worth it: Cat delete; just a touch more rumble/bark and NO drone when cruising at sunlight speeds 😉
As much as I loved my 2020 Street Glide and always said it was the best bike I ever owned, I have no regrets moving to my 2022 Goldwing. I picked it up on Monday and I am coming up on 1,000 miles already. Going on a 400 mile ride with a friend tomorrow and that should put me at about 1,300 miles or so. I think I will dump the oil and change the filter on Sunday even though Honda does not suggest it like other manufacturers. I like to do an early first oil change on any new vehicle. Absolutely love this bike and looking forward to many enjoyable miles on it.
Great job talking and concentrating on you’re riding. Smooth and stealth-like. It’s why we love these bikes. Ride safe and ride often. BTW, how would you compare the power in Sport or any mode to the power of your BMW GTL?
The GTL is definitely more akin to a Sport Bike when it comes to horsepower. The torque feels stronger to me early on the throttle and at different shift points which is very satisfying with the GW but the GTL runs like a scalded dog. I have drag raced my buddy on his GTL and he would out run me every time.. at the same time launching in Sport Mode is kinda scary.. lol.. So I didn't pin the throttle when we dragged.. maybe that would be a good video to add to the list?
@@MileHighAdventures Thank you. This is good to know. BMW does build some nice scalded dogs. Be interesting what 23 brings with BMW. Appreciate the feedback.
Was riding with some friends with road glides on the highway and they kept gunning the throttle on me and taking off, when we arrived at a gas station for them to fill up they made a comment on how my goldwing cant keep up. I was like ok lets see, when we hot the highway i didnt put it in Eco mode i put it in sport mode, well lets just say the laughing went away very quickly when i left them behind 😂
I had three of them it's my third one but I want to get that real have a menu but I'll probably only can get an automatic but I'm going to keep in sport mode all the time I like to stop at the track with it and launch that thing full blast full of Rolla see how she rocket away let me know what you think
Good video. I hear complaints about the seat. Some people say that after a couple of hours, their butt is sore. What's your experience? Are they just a bunch of babies?
Hey Mark.. I think I am good up to about 4 hours in the saddle.. it was the same with my GTL as well.. with the back rest installed.. its the most comfortable bike I have ever ridden.. Thanks for the comment!
@jallen309 Thank you for replying. I appreciate it. I took possession of my new 2023 black Goldwing DCT (touring) 10 days ago and I love it. So far, no issues with the seat.

I think I've ridden my DCT in sport mode for a total of about 30 seconds since I've owned the bike. I find this mode way too radical, it's just not practical for any type of riding other than all out racing, and who buys a GW for that? Tour mode works just fine for all types of riding...

Right on! Glad you liked the vid Roll.
Thanks for sharing! The Goldwing can be calm or become a power beast!!
You got that right! Thanks for watching my vid.
I notice my ’19 DCT Tour definitely feels like a different bike in sport mode. Love that machine! Great video

Hey Road Glide! You're in the back of my mind anytime I make a safer decision and override my hooligan side.. which is hard to do in Sport Mode!

Mark, I’ve got no problem with the seat. My butt hasn’t gotten sore and I’ve ridden for 8 hours, of course stops for gas. I’d tell them to tough’n up.
