To this day, this was the best show on. I wish it was still on. Tom, he was hilarious, Pete and Tom together was great. Pete would LOL from Tom messing around
This brings back memories. Back in the 70s. In Reynoldsburg Ohio we would gather around the Children's Palace toy store parking lot starting about 10pm. There was a 3 mile straight road on Gender Road, then in farm country. There was a marked 1/4mile marked and we would race. One of the big dogs drove this exact car, color and all....except on the panel behind the window going from rear fender to roof, the car had in blue,KING KONG. He pretty much ruled the street and would only be challenged by a 71 hemi cuda or a guy from my town with a 71GTO Judge with a 455 HO who trailered in the car which was a class record holder at National Trail Raceway in Hebron, Ohio. fun memories!
The under carriage is actually way nicer then it was when it was born. That is a great example. The exhaust diameter seems so restrictive in stock form.
Yeah it was, same with Corvette which was only 2 inches in 1969. But they knew the stock exhaust wouldn't last long so it was no big deal, almost nobody kept these cars stock back then.
OK, Peter Klute! Where is Greg? This young man is trying, but he said 11.5 to 1 compression, it was 11 to 1, he also said "dog dish wheels, poverty caps" which makes no sense. Also, is this an original drive train or no? It is OK to say what it is, not many of these survived intact, many were raced and blown up...
4:27 minutes homage for a 427 cubic inch car! Nice!
The small details matter!

Outstanding! Like another man said I’m a Mustang enthusiast too. These factory race cars were the best hidden secrets.
Great video!!! Please make more videos like this.
Working on another as we speak will be out this month 🤝
I'm in 🖤 with this car! It's a gem!

My 17' Camaro SS is the 6.2 6 speed. Stock SAE HP is just a little over 500hp at the crank. Net rating is 455hp. Has that car been dynoe'd?

@@bluesky-ud9wg Get back in your effing boring Japanese Toyota and drive off into the rising sun.🌅
Another new car guy cutting down a classic, what is with these guys.
@@bluesky-ud9wg And this fool is driving a fvcking Honda Civic.
@@thud9797 I have owned these classics...now you step back in your your Toyota and buzz away.
What’s a car like this going to cost me?
Will you shut up,so we can hear the motor…
Why the skinny tires? You're not going to benefit from the 427 with tires like that.
That is what came on it from the factory back in those days. They were big compared to what came on lesser HP cars.
So wouldn't it be better to upgrade to bigger tires?@@mortyok3
It's an example of stock
Duh, stock is stupid. The first thing you did was upgrade the tires.@@bluesky-ud9wg
