- When I was in high school, kids wouldn't shut up about Isaac Asimov, the American writer and professor of biochemistry at Boston University. When he wasn't moulding young minds in the classroom, Asimov was busy becoming one of the "Big Three" science-fiction writers worldwide. Cerebral and scientific, Asimov's writing teased the brain and tickled the imagination. In 1988, Asimov partnered with Michael Wagner to create the short-lived TV series Probe. Looked upon fondly by those who remember it, Probe lasted for two months before getting yanked from the ABC Network.
In today's Gone But Not Forgotten, Parker Stevenson joins us to discuss this rare gem of science-fiction entertainment. Stevenson's presence makes this a special episode of this series, and we thank him for his participation. If you're a Probe fan, let us know in the comments!

I remember watching it on Sci-Fi in the 90s. Way ahead of its time. Parker looks great.
Great video! And how wonderful to get Parker to speak to you/us.
Thanks so much for this, I loved Probe! Never will forget the elevator episode with the artwork.
It was so cool when Sci Fi rebroadcasted it and others like Otherworld or Automan back in the 90s!
Yes! There is a big underground following for this. I don't know why they won't put it on at least DVD. It could fit on one double disc even. It aired in the early days of sci-fi but I watched it when it first aired. That writer strike killed a really great show. ( for any who plan to seek this out, there are original airings that are low quality and there are sci-fi airings which are better but they are cut.)
I watched, since I was a fan of Isaac Asimov's books
what happened was nobody watched it. it was my favorite show. for a single season.
I loved that show. I'm a huuuge Parker Stevenson fan. I've met him twice . Such anise man
Adored this show. Wore out vhs copies!!!
I'm all for it to come back.
Way to go Mr Stevenson!

p.s the first 1-2 seasons of Baywatch had actually good characters and stories, CHANGE MY MIND
He was definitely a big reason for the quality of those early Baywatch seasons
I watched that show and forgot almost everything about it, including the name. The only thing I remember was the last scene of the last episode wheee she makes him mackerel, and he thinks it's sea bass or something. So much for his immunity from power of suggestion.🤷🏼♂️
This was a cool show. Please do 'Awake'. Thanks.
I think I saw an episode or two of this... 😮
Wow Parker Stevenson. There's a name I haven't heard in years. I remember him as a kid in the Nancy Drew tv show. Nice to see him doing well. Who was the other guy in that show? What happened to him?
That was the Hardy Boys/Nancy Drew Mysteries. Parker played Frank Hardy (the older brother) while Shaun Cassidy played Joe Hardy.
@@manuseyman Thankyou
Watched it. Sherlock before Sherlock.
This show needs to chine back
And in the same vein, look up Blacke's Magic.
IIRC, it turns out the orangutan was guilty.
I feel that eay avout Z Rock.
Amen, sister.
