Heya! I just wanted to thank you for putting out these easy-to-digest videos. I personally have the D3 dock as a birthday gift, and it works well, i dont ever have to charge it with an annoying cable. 80% of the time when i put on the quest itself, it just charges and it really is way less work. I dont need to put it on a cable or find a spot to charge it, dont need to get the batteries out the controllers and wonder where the wrist strap is cause it fell out. It just works so much nicer.
I purchased this for my son’s Christmas and really struggled to get it to work with various chargers. I had a 30W charger which worked for 3 days and then stopped. I then purchased a 45W charger from Ugreen that met all of the requirements for this dock but won’t work at all. I’ve sent lots of emails back and forth to BOBOVR and they’ve simply offered my a refund. Apparently they don’t have any more stock of this dock and they emailed me today to say they don’t intend to manufacture any more!!
Bro the accent is 10/10 reminds of James Bond whenever the lab tech would explain all the devices and gadgets he would have available for that particular mission makes the review even more hype. I have this dock as well it keeps everything super organized and since I got the bobovr s3 strap it helps keep the headset in the sweetspot to never miss the charge. I also have the battery dock and keep two batteries charged on that when using a 100w charger with the 100w cable that came from bobovr it charges both b100 batteries in 2 hours so I always got them ready to go
@MyTechGearGaming I use it mainly for productivity purposes. Virtual Desktop and Immersed are two apps I use often the most I have gone is 5 hours with 15 minute break each hour and 1 hour lunch and I only went through 1 b1000 battery and still had another one. People say they get unlimited battery by just swapping out batteries as the charging dock charges full in like 2 hours so if one is out you got another ready to go
My son is using the BOBOVR dock with his M3 Pro and BOBOVR grips. I use the PRISM XR Carina dock (that u expertly reviewed also!) that connects instantly with my S3 and Oblik interface, and instead of using its bare controller part of the dock, I connect a cable to the recharging Aubika silicone grips. The PRISM XR is much more compact and I find it highly reliable. I love BOBOVR but I find the headset dock finicky and there is no light in front of the dock
the lack of easy to see notification LED's does make it hard to see what's charging.. The PRISM XR is another great option with it's compact cauldron design. I haven't tried the Aubika grips yet, maybe I'll have to give them a go too! 😊
@@marcelmenaro2314 If it’s JUST the headset, I would say get the PRISM XR; if u have the BOBOVR grips then I think it’s better to get the BOBOVR charging dock and deal with the finicky charging of the headset, but it nicely charges the grips
I'm not going to lie but most of these reviews on Amazon do not like this charging dock. I went with the Yoges charging dock myself. Great video though!
@kingjaries its fine if you’re paying attention when you put them on the dock. I think some reviews are people just chucking them on the dock and expecting it to magically align.
Soo i just got it today with the g3 plus, and yeah, the ticking sound is there and is the same. Imo it doesn't annoy me at all, and can't hear 2 meters away. :)
@@MyTechGearGaming Yeah it really isn't, good one for mentioning the bedroom tho! Everything is working as it should with my 3ed party 45w changer and cable so no complaints here. :D
They didn't ship the anti-skid pads and a month later haven't send me the pads. Very bad customer service, I would think twice about buying anything from them. I certainly won't.
If you're getting the s3 head strap then this is a good dock to pair with it as it not only charges the headset but can charge the b100 batteries that come with the s3 pro at the same time.
Does the charging stop with the headset when it's fully charged or at 80% so it doesn't overpower the battery? Maybe a point in my life there will be a time I won't touch it for months, will it be safe to just charge there and not die and strain?
Im really struggling getting mine to work. I purchased a 45w anker plug and im still getting a red light. Do you know why? Or have any options that work for a plug?
I’m having the same issue. Ordered a 45W Ugreen charger and high speed cable. I even emailed Ugreen and sent them the dock requirements and they said it will work. But only red light 🤯 Did you manage to find a charger that works?
Got mine today and I am not liking it so far, as does not work with the premium meta straps, the colour does not match and fit of the controller covers is not good with gaps and sharp edges from it sticking out a little. I can not for the life of me to get the headset to charge without holding the headset down with BoBo strap and AMVR face, the fact it did not come with a charger is annoying, and the ticking noise which sounds like a HDD doing a defrag is a little annoying, when everything is charging the fan is audible.
the 65w one won't charge the headset any faster as the dock only supports up to 45w charging. However, with a 65w charger you would be able to charge something else at the same time as powering this dock.
It is designed to work with the touch controllers that come with the Quest 3. I don’t know if they’ll work with the pro controllers as I don’t have a pair to try. I’d recommend reaching out to bobovr and seeing what they say.

Glad you're enjoying the videos! 😊 It is super convenient to be able to charge everything in one place.

I wish I looked liked James Bond! 😀 that’s a lot of battery power you’ve got there. What’s the longest gaming session you’ve done?
@MyTechGearGaming I use it mainly for productivity purposes. Do you know when this will be available in the UK?

What I want is for this to have a cover to double it as a carry case.
I'm not going to lie but most of these reviews on Amazon do not like this charging dock. I went with the Yoges charging dock myself. Great video though!
I’m glad you liked the video. 😊 why didn’t the Amazon reviews like the dock?
@MyTechGearGaming Some reviewers reported that the Quest and controllers doesn't sit well with the dock and may result in the devices not charging.
@kingjaries its fine if you’re paying attention when you put them on the dock. I think some reviews are people just chucking them on the dock and expecting it to magically align.
@MyTechGearGaming Ahh I see that makes sense. Hopefully, that's all it is
Soo i just got it today with the g3 plus, and yeah, the ticking sound is there and is the same. Imo it doesn't annoy me at all, and can't hear 2 meters away. :)
It isn't loud, but I thought it worth mentioning. What do you think of the dock?
@@MyTechGearGaming Yeah it really isn't, good one for mentioning the bedroom tho! Everything is working as it should with my 3ed party 45w changer and cable so no complaints here. :D
@DolphxD good to hear! 🙂
Have you tested it with the Globular Cluster F3? I've heard it won't charge with this attached? Do you know if this is the case?
They didn't ship the anti-skid pads and a month later haven't send me the pads. Very bad customer service, I would think twice about buying anything from them. I certainly won't.
So is it the best charging dock ? Beacuse im gonna get a quest 3 for Christmas i already know im getting the bobovr s3 headstreap so should i buy it ?

I covered this in the video and gave some charger options. Purchase links for them are in the description. Too.

Did you manage to find a charger that works?
@iain5668 yes I ordered the ugreen 65w one. The 45w ones were all giving me the red light. Now finally have the green light but 65w
@@charliejeapes1263 ok thanks for that. I’ve actually just ordered a 65W Anker charger so hopefully that will work then.
@iain5668 yes hopefully it will. Good luck
Will this dock charge the headset with a battery installed to the S3 pro strap when it is attached?
There is a place on the dock for charging the battery. It won't charge the battery if it's on the head strap.
I thought your Cletus from Venom CARNAGE 😭

I've had this for a couple of months and it's never made that noise when charging.
You have to put your ear pretty much on the controller as its charging
Does the 65 Watt charger charge faster then a 45 watt charger? thinking of buying a samsung 45watt charger
the 65w one won't charge the headset any faster as the dock only supports up to 45w charging. However, with a 65w charger you would be able to charge something else at the same time as powering this dock.
Can't charge pro controllers though?
