I ordered 2 B100s and a charging dock from BOBOVR and they finally shipped yesterday. I can't wait till they show up. I play a lot of MR stuff, so I burn through charges pretty quickly.
Id say the only con is that the B100 can't be used as a portable battery pack like the B2. I received a B100 before I got my S3Pro strap and wanted to power my Q3 with the B100 through a long cord. Wouldnt work. Had to rely on my B2s, which drain quickly with the Q3. Finally did get the Pro headstrap and it is all working and feeling beautifully!!
I got my 2nd battery but my 3rd and dock just shipped!! Yay! I need the counter balance always too. Already got the Anker block you suggested via your link 😉 Sent my M3 to a buddy and ordered him the upgraded dock and battery. We will play forever!!! 😁
I was tempted to get a battery pack for the quest 3, but the meta forum staff said that powering the quest whilst it was in use would destroy the internal battery. They even advised against leaving it charging after the light turns green unless it’s fully powered off. I hope they make it so an external battery can be used for powering the headset whilst it’s in use, by bypassing charging altogether.
Can't use Halo straps, it's just not comfortable for me. I went with BinbokVR elite strap design + 2 batteries (I had the buzzing issue with them, and they were very helpful to support it! (great service) !) so at the moment, that's 2 batteries+Elite charging dock elite straps and the binbokVR elite strap (with it's wireless charging dock) for the quest 3. it's pretty nifty and clean set up!
I’ve been running the Binbok pro strap with 2 8k batteries I bought during the time Bobo was in design mode for the new halo, I’ve never had to stop playing for any reason other than 2 hours in and I’m in need of reality for awhile.
With 2 batteries it really works! When one is empty, you can switch - and by the time the other one is empty, it will be recharged to such a high level that you could practically play forever with the two batteries. ...at least almost!✌️😎👍
I've had a forever battery setup on my Quest 3 forever now... I have a pair of INUI 20000mah batteries but I only need one... I just finished a group meetup in VRChat and only had to quit because my roommate has to go to bed. Mind you this was with Steam Link, I was chatting for like 6 hours and when I finally logged out, I was down to 45%. That's 45% on the INUI battery, not the headset. The headset was at 98%. It started at 98% because I never leave it on charge. I've logged as much as 8 and a half hours of use when playing passthrough games.
@@trevor5672 I have it velcro strapped to the back of the BoboVR headstrap. The S3 headstrap actually has its adjustment knob behind between the headstrap and the back head pads, so the battery doesn't interfere with it. Also the battery in question comes with a drawstream mesh bag that adheres to velcro straps pretty easily. I couldn't have asked for better serendipity.
I am a cheapskate so I got the KKCOBVR Q3 Pro which doesn't feel as premium as the BoboVR and only holds the charge when the Quest 3 is at 70-something percent battery but also has swappable 10000mAh packs and it is really comfortable. Overall I'm happy with it and it goes for $49.99 at their official store which is pretty good if you don't care about the integrated fan or the honeycomb pad.
My S3 Pro arrived a few hours ago. Last week, I was able to order a separate B100 battery off Amazon and it arrived a couple days ago and was all charged up and ready to go as soon as I got the S3 on the Q3. I've been using a Kiwi Comfort Battery Headstrap for a couple weeks and I have to say that I missed the comfort of the M2 Pro on my Q2. I was getting a headache every time I used it. BUT NOW... After playing PCVR Half Life Alyx until the B100 battery beeped out (drained) I was blown away with how incredibly comfortable I was for the very first time while using my Quest 3. I forgot to time how long it took to drain the B100 but I was definitely ready for a break - and the Q3 battery level was still 100% (started at 100%). I am so very, very happy with the S3 Pro and I probably will never need a third battery - two worked fine for the M2 Pro on my Q2. Cat ears are now on the Q3 setup and VR life is GOOD!!! For intense motion the S3 might feel too heavy, but for anything less than extreme acrobatics the 10,000mAh battery in the S3 perfectly counter balances the headest, I get annoyed when I have to take the battery off to charge it.
I think it depends by many factors. I've ordered a better head strap for my Quest 3, but I already have two 10.000mah battery banks and they last way longer than I do :) I put them in a small pouch around my waist and that's it, no need for me to invest in an headstrap with another battery, at least in my case.
@@jaybratt I prefer it for even non mixed. Not feeling anything pressed against your face and the extra airflow is so comfortable. Other benefits like using a keyboard getting a drink and the confidence in not breaking anything in your playspace, including yourself. All the positives outway the slight decrease in immersion for me.
@@bengamin98you get light bleed when not using a facial interface, as it’s basically an open design like the quest pro at that point. But when gaming, I get so immersed that I don’t even notice it unless I’m in menus or something

I have the S3 and I just got my 2nd battery from amazon last week. Initially, i prefered the Elite style straps for their stability. (i have Aubika) But both the stock and silicone meta facial interfaces just hurt so damn much with the elite style straps. The S3 is a lil less secure but it is infinitely more comfortable. And i have found i REALLY enjoy that little fan. So much so that if the fan broke, and that was the only thing wrong with it, (and for some reason i was unable to repair it) i would buy another S3 just to have it. I have had the S3 for a little over a month, and now that i have the 2nd battery i am unlikely to ever use an elite style again
I just ordered mine and it should arrive tomorrow. I've been using the stock strap since I got my headset about 2 months ago and its been difficult. I have a blast playing but its rare I can stand wearing the headset long enough to even drain the battery. I'm really looking forward to getting my strap and len inserts.
I got my M3 mini strap a while back specifically to get the battery upgrade kit down the line, so naturally I ordered it when you made the previous video (thank you for the discount code!) and now I'm patiently waiting to receive it. A tad pricey so I'll stick with one battery for a while, might get another one later on.
Kind of wish the M3 Pro Strap with the fan had the option to put a middle strap on your headset as well as take out the side head grips for better comfort. Looking forward to adding the battery dock for the M3 Mini strap i got i just need a fan.

The stock head strap i call it the "Jock Strap" :) I went with a different strap over the Bobo i won't say what it is as i don't wish to disrespect by advertising on ur stream. It didn't have swappable batts the battery was on the back it cost me like £50 and gave me upto extra 3hrs play plus i could charge the main batt wia link cable while playing if i choose to and i'm fairly happy with my choice. Although at the time the BoboVR strap which i had looked at they hadn't upgraded the battery from the Q2 so it didn't last that long and i felt i didn't want to get one then shell out extra coin on another battery should they finally upgrade the device. Maybe if i ever have problems with my current strap i might consider purchasing a BobVR based your VOD so thx for the great review.

Considering the quest 3 was half a month's salary and the S3 strap is currently sitting at about one day's salary, I'm running an old M2 clone with modified mounts and a PD20W Anker battery.

Jay, I currently use a sport style strap but you keep saying how comfortable halos are. I do a lot of workouts with my Quest. Do the halo styles stay in your hwad when moving around a lot? Also, does the strap come with one battery? Do you know if the dock comes with aby batteries?
Do you think BOBOVR will bring out the none halo strap aswell with the battery like they did with the quest 2? For some reason I just can't get halo to feel good and sold it when I had the quest 2 for bobovr's elite style strap.
I'm ngl I find the M3 with 2 batteries works just fine, I can play for hours and hours no issues, the battery goes down very slowly I still get a solid hour 30 on it
Hot take: Slow charging is more healthy for your battery. If BoBoVR doesn't ship the charging dock with a USB power adapter then I'm perfectly satisfied letting the batteries "slow charge" with my current USB power supply, it will be almost impossible to fully drain two batteries even when slow charging. Trying to play VR games for 24 hours continuously is the only way you'd have problems.
Great video as usual! So, if we want the fan to be on and the internal battery is 100%, is it safe to connect a battery pack without draining the internal battery? This seems to be the general consensus, correct?
Love my M1 Pro on my Q2 with the fan. Live in Alaska so getting batteries shipped is impossible. Hard to give up and move to a Q3 and make a trip out of state to grab another setup. Love your content. Long time viewer.
i feel like the next gen headset should have the battery on the back of the head strap so it becomes balanced and more room in the front for like better lenses or a wider view.
I can't seem to get rid of my Vive DAS setup. Try Bobo and kiwi. Bobo didn't get close the screen enough and for some reason gave me headaches on my forehead. It's that spring-loaded tension that keeps me coming back to the DAS. I got it to the perfect tightness on the back clicker wheel ages ago. Now the spring loaded tightener is all I need to get the headset on. Are there any other head straps with that spring-loaded tension feature?
@@NekoSinonTv Bobo told me the USB c port can take up to 15w input. The bottom ports can take up to 30w input so that's the faster charging. I don't have the equipment to fully test that though besides just actual charge time.
@@jaybratt I see what they did then genius marketing strat since you see 3 slots and would only take 1 hour for the battery to charge and there's 3 slots will make it where like me I'd buy a 3rd battery to cover the slot since most will buy a 2nd battery but since there's 3 spots for means we would have infinite usuage. Even if it still took 3 hours for one to charge there would still always be one full charged at all times so still a w. But per hour would be handy aswell since some games would shorten it dramatically to perhaps 2.5 hours since my 5k only last little over an hour under intense sessions and since 10k leaks less mah now when charging which is very good 2.5 hours for intense will be super nice

Looks like a great product as BoboVR tend to make BUT... I'm such an Ebenezer Scrooge when it comes to my money lmao .. I'm still using the ole quest 2 bobovr headstrap and I simply bought a third party convert kit for around 8 dollars. As far as battery goes, still rocking the ole 27,000 Mah one I just put in ye ole pocket and it lasts around 8+ hours lol For air flow, standard floor house fan that blows on me and I don't use a facial interface so air flow across the front lmao what can I say, I'm a cheap bastard lol
i don't know man. my quest 3 drains within 2 hours even when i'm hooked up to the outlet with a good cable and brick.(pc vr/virtual desktop) i doubt the batteries will do any good lol

i have the m3 mini and i’m waiting for them to release the battery attachment bc it still sits a little front heavy but i like how secure it feels

This is my go to headstrap. Don't even use a facial interface anymore.
It's awesome they made this solid enough that you can use no interface! I'm still using my custom one but for mixed reality I do like it without one.

i ordered 3 batteries, the strap and the dock
and i have a lot of cables to charge stuff which is a nice thing for me but im still curious when im gonna get mine im very excited

I finally got my meta quest 3 512 gb today my only complaint is the battery does not last long at all my next investment will be the battery head strap, thanks for posting.
Jay, I currently use a sport style strap but you keep saying how comfortable halos are. I do a lot of workouts with my Quest. Do the halo styles stay in your hwad when moving around a lot?
Also, does the strap come with one battery? Do you know if the dock comes with aby batteries?

Do you think BOBOVR will bring out the none halo strap aswell with the battery like they did with the quest 2? For some reason I just can't get halo to feel good and sold it when I had the quest 2 for bobovr's elite style strap.

I'm ngl I find the M3 with 2 batteries works just fine, I can play for hours and hours no issues, the battery goes down very slowly I still get a solid hour 30 on it
Hot take: Slow charging is more healthy for your battery.
If BoBoVR doesn't ship the charging dock with a USB power adapter then I'm perfectly satisfied letting the batteries "slow charge" with my current USB power supply, it will be almost impossible to fully drain two batteries even when slow charging. Trying to play VR games for 24 hours continuously is the only way you'd have problems.
With the fast charger if you’re only charging two batteries at a time do you still need a 100 watt brick
Great video as usual! So, if we want the fan to be on and the internal battery is 100%, is it safe to connect a battery pack without draining the internal battery? This seems to be the general consensus, correct?

Have the bobo VR strap but my quest 3 still drains faster than it charges. Same issue even when connected with quest link cable😢
Love my M1 Pro on my Q2 with the fan. Live in Alaska so getting batteries shipped is impossible. Hard to give up and move to a Q3 and make a trip out of state to grab another setup. Love your content. Long time viewer.
i feel like the next gen headset should have the battery on the back of the head strap so it becomes balanced and more room in the front for like better lenses or a wider view.

I can't seem to get rid of my Vive DAS setup. Try Bobo and kiwi. Bobo didn't get close the screen enough and for some reason gave me headaches on my forehead.
It's that spring-loaded tension that keeps me coming back to the DAS. I got it to the perfect tightness on the back clicker wheel ages ago. Now the spring loaded tightener is all I need to get the headset on.
Are there any other head straps with that spring-loaded tension feature?
I've got the BoboVR S3 Pro but i'm not able to remove the top nobbies, I don't know how much I'm supposed to pull on it as i don't want to break it
still hoping for a smaller sized fast charge dock from bobovr.

Yeah, that's what I show doing that takes about 3 hours per dead battery. The dock will just be a clean organized setup

@@NekoSinonTv Bobo told me the USB c port can take up to 15w input. The bottom ports can take up to 30w input so that's the faster charging. I don't have the equipment to fully test that though besides just actual charge time.
@@jaybratt I see what they did then genius marketing strat since you see 3 slots and would only take 1 hour for the battery to charge and there's 3 slots will make it where like me I'd buy a 3rd battery to cover the slot since most will buy a 2nd battery but since there's 3 spots for means we would have infinite usuage. Even if it still took 3 hours for one to charge there would still always be one full charged at all times so still a w. But per hour would be handy aswell since some games would shorten it dramatically to perhaps 2.5 hours since my 5k only last little over an hour under intense sessions and since 10k leaks less mah now when charging which is very good 2.5 hours for intense will be super nice
I use a Link cable for PCVR (connected to the USB c port on the quest 3). Does the fan still work even though the cord from the strap is no longer plugged into the headset?
If my quest 3 was at %100 how much more hours do I have with one battery added with no brightness settings just in general
For me it was never issue the battery. Not even half when my head and my eye just give up so I need a rest

The extra battery on their site says 50$ but discounted to 40, while on amazon it is at regular price... at 40$... Looks like a great product as BoboVR tend to make BUT... I'm such an Ebenezer Scrooge when it comes to my money lmao .. I'm still using the ole quest 2 bobovr headstrap and I simply bought a third party convert kit for around 8 dollars. As far as battery goes, still rocking the ole 27,000 Mah one I just put in ye ole pocket and it lasts around 8+ hours lol For air flow, standard floor house fan that blows on me and I don't use a facial interface so air flow across the front lmao what can I say, I'm a cheap bastard lol

my quest 3 drains within 2 hours even when i'm hooked up to the outlet with a good cable and brick.(pc vr/virtual desktop)
i doubt the batteries will do any good lol
