I haven’t heard anything so far about how 2024 is going to run on Xbox series X. My gut feeling is that it’s going to be better, more stable, less CTD’s, screens going blank. I wish someone would ask these questions. Not all of us can afford a high end PC. Just saying.
Great Video my Friend ! I can’t stop thinking about the early flight simulators and what they bought ! I’m simply amazed at what FS2024 and the future will bring to our hobbby ! It’s quite simply a fantastic time to be in to flight simulation ! We are very lucky and I’m excited about FS2024 👊👍🙏🏻✈️👨✈️
It needs to be stable. No more stutters, LOD draw distance and buildings need to be like (2020 pre SU-5). No more issues with slow download speeds and lost connections.
Hmm shame Sebastian didn't mention whether our FS2020 mappings could be imported. Sounded more like there is a 2020-style default mapping, but he didn't mention explicity whether we can import from 2020.
@@twotonemurphy if memory serves, that's basically how DCS and IL2 sorta do it, bindings per aircraft. But this seems to give you the choice of which style of mapping a pilot may prefer. Good move imo.
How are the airliner landings and turning while taxiing though? Something that content creators have failed to ask about is the CONTACT POINTS. If Microsoft and Asobo have not sorted out the contact points for multi-wheeled main landing gears, I will not buy. I want a proper A330/A340 landing gear physics. When a 747, 757, 767, 777, 787 touches down, I want to feel and see the aft rear wheels on the bogeys (fwd pair on the 767) touch down first, before the other pair touches down. We have every single content creator talking about the same stuff on the same days like clockwork yet no info yet on whether the airliners will co.timue to slide sideways while turning on the taxiway due to incorrect contact points.
I want simple things like it doesn’t crash half the time you use it, doesn’t forget your control mappings randomly, can save a default flight plan, doesn’t forget what drive it’s installed on and decide to download itself all over again onto your C drive, has a UI designed by a UI expert. If I get some bigger wishes, better ATC, multiple cameras with independent controls for multimonitor setups, dockable instrument panels (stuff that previous sims included by default) and sure a better flight model and updated graphics are nice to have.
MSFS is still awesome, i love how over night its become crap. I'm sticking with MSFS for a lot longer, its not that different is it really, its the same game.
I get there being no discount, the vast majority of their customers will be existing users. I hope the pricing is a little more transparent - I’m still stinging from having to buy it twice because I didn’t realise I wouldn’t get a steam gauge 172 and the price to upgrade was more than just buying the game a second time - that’s just swindling behaviour IMO.
I think its the entire archutecture that needed to change. The way in which the sim currently uses data - we need to have it all locally. With 2024 - we only need what we use
can't wait to see how many buttons/switches are "INOP" in the default aircraft like in the 2020 version. I'd rather have fewer aircraft that have full funtionality than more aircraft with missing systems.
I honestly don’t think the amount of avatar choices were necessary, it’s making a flight simulator look like an arcade game, it’s a flight sim for gos sake , it’s about the aircraft and flying, not what you look like, time wasted in the making of the new sim, also I have not seen much feedback or questions regarding multiple monitor support , has it been upgraded
Trust them with what? Your date of birth? You aren’t the US government. You have a google account so obviously don’t have an issue with your data being processed, used and stored.

Love the interviews. It was so much to sit down and talk to them. They are so down to earth.

Brilliant content here Murph, really well done! We want more!

Any information regarding to generic in game ATC, any improvemnets / changes?
Thanks Murph, great questions and interesing answers.
Ground mapping looks brilliant but what about buildings, is there an improvement with how small towns look?

Odd that 'should reduce some of the pressure on bandwidth' doesn't correlate with the new miminum bandwidth requirement - one wonders why not?
Nice interview. I'm very much looking forward to the new game. I'm under no illusion it'll be perfect, but I think it'll be very good.

I wonder if Vatsim will be compatible day one?
I got more than 150 aircrafts from other suppliers than MS. More than 500 airports not in MSFS, or much better. Where will I find those in MSFS 2024?
Thanks for the updates matey
We the people of the world wants to know if there will be any helicopter and/or military traffic?
I’d say backwards compatibility is discount enough for existing MSFS 2020 users when purchasing 2024. 😊
Sounds like Seb is saying we get controller mapping like 2020, or like DCS/IL2 depending on personal preference
Sort of - plenty of profiles for each aircraft and controller

Multi screen support. Yes/no. That's what I need to know
Are the missions available in multiplayer?
Good questions, bummer about no private servers 😔
Will there be a Replay function on release? Or is it going to be another wait?
From what I can see - not on release
