Sarah, you made the most beautiful cloth out of a raw fleece! Impressive 😍❣️🙏🏽 thank you so much for sharing your process and the outstanding result 🌈🤩🫶
Thank you, Sarah! Your instructions are very clear. I've recently learned to weave and am interested in using my own herringbone woven fabric to make a waistcoat for myself.
Thank you, Sarah - I so enjoyed this video. I have this pattern and so I shall be studying this video again, when I get my fabric woven. I have some fine 2 ply handspun merino/linen that I’d like to weave, maybe for the warp and weft or possibly with a commercial bamboo warp…🤔 I bought the DK sewing book you mentioned and shall start studying! Thank you for taking the time to produce this wonderfully useful content. 😊🙏
What a lovely top! Thank you for your wonderful instructional videos. You're very inspiring. I would love to hear how you wove the green jumper fabric.
It's bamboo yarn, 10dpi, woven on my 20in Ashford Knitters loom. The fabric is 12in wide, cut on the bias. Pattern T011 in my etsy shop. www.etsy.com/uk/shop/GetWeaving
Hello Sarah!! I agree 100% with all the awesome comments written to you regarding this video & your incredible kindness & willingness to share your expertise & suggestions!! Whether we are or are not weavers, we appreciate awesome craftsmanship & sincerity! Thank you for creating this channel🤗!!
Oh, Sarah! This is so beautiful!! I have loved each episode of this series and hope you do many more. I am an experienced weaver, but wearing my weaving is my goal. I love your patterns and, although the size range doesn’t include my size, I hope I’ll be able to make them one day. What beautiful fabric you weave. Thank you for the patient instruction and beautiful work you share with us.
Note to self…always check what auto correct has done. Just to represent accurately, that should say that I am an INexperienced weaver with only a handful of completed projects.
Hello Sarah……in the early hours of the morning I discovered your take on sewing with woven cloth…..ze best,,!!!.Now the pile of woven cloth in my stowaway cubourd, does not look so daunting anymore🎉…..and many thanks for all the time, planning that went into your videos…..greetings Elize
Thank you for this series, Sarah. I learned a lot and enjoyed gaining some insights into your thought processes and sense of humor. Would you consider a weave to sew along using commercial yarn?
Hi there 👋, I often use a commercial yarn for a warp but I love to spin the weft, I find this much more enjoyable. I was taught to spin and weave together, by the same teacher, many years ago, so they go hand in hand for me. I do use commercial yarns for warp and weft, particularly if I'm using cotton which I find more difficult to dye and spin.
I really enjoyed watching your video and have successfully sewn the handwoven top! I was wondering whether you would recommend top stitching the sleeve seams so they lay flat and are less bulky when worn?
Yes, you could do that. I'd suggest stitching from the inside if you can, with the seam on top and sleeve underneath. Use quite a long stitch so the fabric doesn't pucker. Or you could tack them in place by hand.
Hi Sarah. I love your garments and patterns but I can’t find you on Etsy. I tried changing the location to the UK but I still can’t find you. Please have someone help you put links up for your patterns. Happy weaving!
This is one of the best videos I’ve seen about sewing handwoven fabric. Thank you!
@dianewarde6074 glad you liked it ❤️😀
Thank you sooooo much. The loom is back out, I have just received your jacket pattern. Very exited.
Great! Nothing sadder than an empty loom in my opinion. Happy weaving! 😊
I absolutely love how giddy you are about the resulting garment. It’s lovely.🥰
It may be June but I wore it yesterday!

Fantastic work- did you use hand spun?
Yes, its handspun wool 👍🐑
What another great video. Question, could the reinforcement in the neck and side not be on the inside or did you add them outside for the look?
Yes, they could be, although the stitching would show on the outside. I put them on the outside for the contrast.
No stay stitching?
Not this time, the Stayflex is firm enough.

Hi Terry, it's probably because my shop is closed for the holiday, opening on Monday 2nd October so please try then!
