Sarah your inspiring! It seems you read my mind, I’ve been wanting to learn how to weave, but I’ve always thought about making garments out of it. Most of the people weaving are just making scarfs, table runners and similar things, not what I have in mind. I am quite experienced sewing my clothes, so with the information you share now I really see the potential in weaving! I can wait to put it in practice! Planning on watching all your videos, thank you so much 😊
Exciting! Being comfortable with sewing is hugely helpful, I'm glad you're enjoying the videos. I'm sharing everything- mistakes and all- all good learning 👍
Marvelous ! I will be making a different garment using one of your patterns I already own, probably the short sleeve pullover in T008 or possibly the bolero jacket in JA 003. Both are pretty straightforward. Step one, make a mock up or two.
You have really inspired me to really get good with my rigid heddle!!! Im so excited to make a garment that i made in like all areas!! I look forward to your future videos and getting your book/patterns!!
These are very interesting. Makes me think the time might come when I could actually wear my weaving. But for now, I wish you'd share a bit about what you're wearing. The colors are lovely and I'm wondering about what yarn you used. It's hard to keep my mind on what you're saying, when my mind is asking what pattern is that, what yarn did she use, & I wish she'd stand so I could see it all. Thanks so much for doing these videos.
👋👋😊 it's pattern DR003 in my etsy shop www.etsy.com/uk/shop/GetWeaving. Ashford mercerised cotton warp, handspun singles dyed fleece weft. I'm still learning about doing the videos!
Hi Sarah one more question. Do you believe that your patterns come up a bit big? I made a pinafore from one of yours and it was huge….could have been my mistake. So on your pattern sheet is the bust size one’s actual size or finished garment? Thank you
The measurements on the back of the booklet are uk body measurements/sizes, but I always recommend making a mock up first anyway. I certainly don't like tight clothes though!!
You could trace your size so you have left front, right front etc. Then you could lay out all 6 pieces at once. I'd recommend labelling them if you do that.
I am enjoying watching your series so much! Thank you for all your wisdom.
Thank you Sarah for doing these videos. This is just what I have been looking for. I am very excited to see what you do at each step of the process. 😊
You are brilliant ❤
I’ve just started on your videos. They are brilliant and you are so engaging! Thank you!

Hooray! 👋👋👋👍
Thank you so much for doing these!!!!!
Excellent!!! I can't wait till the next session. You are the instructor I was looking for. I am watching you from Alberta, Canada. Thank you.
Like the top you are wearing. Is it 1 piece front? Like the colors you use and explaining how to make and first practice on a mockup.
It's a dress, DR003 in my etsy shop

Is the top you’re wearing the same pattern you’re using for the demonstration? If not, what is the pattern number?

That's so good to hear, thank you 😊

@@getweaving8459 Thank you - It looks very cute and comfortable.

Of course I could make my mock up and see if its big……duh silly me

Hi Sarah may I ask, would you recommend tracing the pattern first?

Thanks Sarah. I've ordered my pattern (& another for a jacket). Will you ever offer the patterns as pdf downloads?
I'm afraid not, for the moment. I haven't yet figured out how to do it yet.
Really loved your low tech ending. The digital age wastes so much time. No need to change it.
Ha ha! Glad you liked it, I do love a bit of colouring 🤣🤣
