support your local good quality shoe shops, bought a pair of Burgundy Beadale Loakes today from my local shop, price was better than any online retailer. Not much in the way of good old fashioned cobblers though, all closed down around here.
I can tell you from experience that sending your shoes/boots to Tony and the team at Shoe Healer would be well worthwhile doing. While they are still operating, I will not leave my footwear in the hands of anyone else. I have personally seen repairs being sent from the Philipines to be done, the literally have customers all around the globe.
Same where I live. I took a pair of shoes to be re soled. I think he trimmed the edges with a tomahawk and wore dark glasses at the time. Shall not be going back, needless to say.
Thanks Chris, yes please do it’s hard out here. We always have a shelf of offers on last pairs or ex display models that’s ever changing so always worth a look and can drop on a bargain. Thanks for watching.
It’s in no way critics because the job is great..but why not dye that little piece of leather sole black, that way it forms a whole with the rubber half sole?
Your absolutely right, but traditionally it's never painted. This one was painted in a clear gloss to make it look tidier and clean. I've just googled it and half the pictures do show it painted .... Antony
