On the one hand, it's hard to believe how the soles were worn down to such a degree before they went in for repair. But on the other, it's precisely this type of refurbishment that we all love to see on the channel and the end result speaks for itself!
Wonderful repair. With the increase in shoe prices and the likes of Barker and Loake being £250+ for their English made offerings that repair price is looking like wonderful value, better than factory quality for many good shoes. I'm a huge fan of the cover soles, cant believe how hard wearing they are tbh.
Great repairs. British are the best Shoemakers in the world both in construction and durability there is no doubt about it. My question is why do people abuse shoes to this extent before having them repaired? If the shoe upper is well taken care of it will serve the owner his lifetime. 12:00
Goodyear welting was invented by the 'Murcans... we used to hand stitch, but it was impossible to produce shoes that way in sufficient volume for everyone.
Excellent Shoe, did the heel stack have a regurgitated lift in, when you struggled to remove it? Aka Loakes style. Fabulous repair and excellent finished jobby 😎
@@shoehealer8853 You said £1000 but heel lift was breaking up with the pliers after the top lift was removed. Hence why I asked. Because Loakes have emailed me and said others use them?
Lovely. You should ask the owner to come on and explain why they buy such expensive shoes and wear them out and continue to wear them. Surely he noticed the soles were through. He obviously appreciates a great pair of shoes by purchasing them and wearing them so much. I just don’t understand 🤣🤓

You'd think they were so uncomfortable, not to mention cold and wet!
😆
The expression “On his uppers” might apply here!

Thank you, a factory repair at Churchs is £245 today on their website and takes 6-8 weeks, so ours would be around £100 less and with a cover sole.
Absolutely beautiful repair. Fabulous video.
Thank you Peter
Amazing shoe quality and also real quality repair
Thanks Andy🙏
Incredible. It goes to show that quality items can last a lifetime. ‘Buy quality, buy less’ as they say.
Absolutely true 👍
Great to see & hear your enthusiasm to work on these quality shoes. They do look first class again after your work.
Thanks again Martin 🙏
Big transformation. Church’s shoes are the biz 👍
Thanks for watching Mark🙏
Love these longer videos. Great work gents
Thanks Arfan 🙏
Lovely job, there is no reason those eye-wateringly pricey shoes cant last many more years.
Thanks, £1070 on their website today.

Yep....spot on.

Mick, you'll get shot saying that !!!!! 🤣🤣
Nothing regurgitated in a church's shoe.
Just look up the price of a new Church's Grafton. ££££

@@shoehealer8853 they must be 900 quid by now.
What's he been walking through to do that to the soles? They've been given some welly 😆
And been so uncomfortable with very little between his feet and the floor!

Why the gloves Anthony? afraid to get your hands dirty these days? By the way we grind metal and scour leather. Very good video though, as usual.
Nothing wrong with gloves.
@@heycidskyja4668 O.K. to keep hands warm, no use for handling small rivets, e.t.c.
Me thinks he had his moneys worth out of them soles
Certainly did 🙏
