season 12 is fire
Watching modern cartoons that aren't Spongebob are like watching a dude who wears dresses and mutilates his cock and balls trying to relate to people by talking more about feelings than being funny.

Oh and use AI generated voices or impersonators.
Watching modern SpongeBob is like seeing your cool uncle from your childhood getting severe dementia...

I feel like the modern writers are afraid of making dialogue that sounds “cringeworthy, bad, or verbose.” So they just opt for random noises.

And they still fail to make it not cringey anyway 😬

Have you seen the kind of writing that's in Modern cartoons? All they talk about is how white men are bad or how they reference current political events. No shit the Spongebob crew wants to avoid that. I would too because it's fucking terrible writing. No kid watches cartoons to learn moral lessons, no kid watches cartoons to learn about real world events or struggles, and especially no kid wants to watch cartoons that preach about why they are everything wrong with this world. This overly preachy garbage is what brought about the animation ghetto of the 70s and 80s, cartoons weren't allowed to be fun slapstick anymore, nor where they allowed to not take themselves seriously. If it wasn't for Mighty Mouse the New Adventures becoming a thing. You'd still have mindless garbage like Mr. Rogers which actually give harmful lessons by pretending that everyone wants to work together and that tribalism doesn't exist.
Why do you want Spongebob to adopt that nonsense? It's really funny how zoomers are now taking issue with "curvy" designs of women characters as if previous generations didn't mind it, If you have a problem with female cartoon cartoon characters being "curvy" then you'd probably hate characters like Peg Pete, Dexter's Mom, Jessica Rabbit, Miss Bellum and countless other females from animation before the entire industry went soft and started clamping down on "sexualization" one by one.
