you made a comment around 8:50 about the wipers taking off a layer. Rain-x wipers are supposed to " leave a layer of protection" every swipe so id be curious as to how well both product together would work
Meguiar's water spot remover will work better. You would still need to use the wipers HOWEVER the glass will be totally transparent without streaks or "fog" effect at night
I will see about that. I've also got a video on the screenwash additive that they do. I think I said it might not work out very cost effective if you're always having to use the wash wipe. For me it actually lasted a couple of months so I don't mind paying £7 for it.
I got 3 weeks from 1 application. I would imagine that if you use it more frequently then the layers of protection will build up and you could get longer.
@@jasjotd1423 don’t bother using it on inside windscreen,it made condensation ten times worse,I’ve had to clean it off again,it’s brilliant on the outside though so is worth buying
For inside u need rain x anti fog i tried this cleaner too on the interior and it didnt work it made the situation worse as it left a layer that was making it steam up way worse
@@Lori-pg3hs ah I see. I've heard good things about the original but never used it. I wonder what protection you could get cleaning the glass with this and then applying the original?
@@Lori-pg3hs if your driving at 70mph down the motorway you dont need the wipers, rain x needs speed. its good in heavy rain but other than that..... ive used it on and off for years, now trying this 2 in one
This stuff is rubbish compared to the original and not worth buying. It does not repel as well and it would be lucky to last a quarter of the time as the original in the black bottle. I am in Australia where the car gets powerful sun and tropical rain and have been greatly disappointed with this product , clearly it does not repel bullshit.
This stuff is a different product to the original and it is worth buying. It's not likely to repel as well or last as long because it's 2 products in 1. What it is, is a good middle ground between a glass cleaner and a rain repellent, something that may appeal to some people. If you watched the video properly it did last about 3 weeks. Having to spend less then 30 seconds every 3 weeks to spray and wipe a windscreen is hardly a chore. I don't particularly care where in the world you are, you negative mother f*cker!
Excellent job showing the difference. This video answers my exact question: Does this product really work? It does.
Thank you
Great, comprehensive test! Thanks 😎👍
Good idea for a series. Those stop leak/seal conditioner products would be a good one
Wooooo that's cool man, I'm going to test that product wish me luck, greetings from Mexico
Good luck! I didn't realise I had a multi national audience, kinda cool.
Need an update

Directions says allow an hour before exposing to rain.
Ok, thanks.
Liking this series! What product is next?

Good advice, never tried that product but might just have to.
@@Papa77sGarage and it is not expense, it can also be used to polish other parts of the car. Really interesting product.
Wondering if a side by side of rain X vs 2 in 1 rain X would be worth a review? I was hoping for that to compare hydrophobic qualities. Thanks!

I just used this and it's pretty basic and didn't do anything. It just beaded
What were you expecting?
@@Papa77sGarage was hoping I didn't have to use my wipers but unfortunately had to use them. Wasn't beading off. The original works 100x's better

The original RainX repell water better.
I'm yet to try it. I'm using the windscreen washer additive at the moment and that stuff is excellent.
