A noble cause. At my local flying club we have a few under 25s on the gliding side, but on the SEP I am by far the youngest. A big hurdle is the money, and also the mindset that people who want to be airline pilots don't particularly have an interest in GA (or sometimes actual hands on flying for that matter)
Great video! I completely agree that we need to get more young people involved in aviation. I glide myself which is great fun but some people I know who want to be airline pilots, military pilots etc have done nothing towards it. There's plenty of ways for young people to fly cheaply weather that being through the ATC, Gliding bursaries and there's still not enough young people who take up the opportunity. My advice to anyone who wants to start flying young is to have a look at schemes which offer reduced rates or bursaries, there's no point saying you won't get it if you don't try, what do you loose if you try?
Great vid. My lad is 14 and is absolutely plane mad. He dreams of being an airline pilot. I look forward to your website being up and running to see what is on offer.
Sorry to be a bit of bore but if you are encouraging pilots to fly at a 45 degree bank at high speed with the wing tip 1m from the ground (video: 2:21) then I think you are promoting the wrong behaviour.
This may same a little glib, but there is a difference between videoing something and encouraging people to do it. I doubt many aviators would attempt something purely as a result of seeing it on UA-cam. For example, should we also not post videos of the Red Arrows, or any other low level display activity? The pilot flying in this video is a multi-thousand hour experimental test pilot at a private event. For sure aviation should be conducted safely but with the quality of training that a pilot's license implies, I would like to think that we can demonstrate such flying here without fear that somebody will attempt to recreate it at their flying club. Thank you for your feedback - it is genuinely well received and I am not trying to marginalise your point of view, simply to clarify our position.
This was brilliant, everyone should share this out!

+SVenables97 Precisely my mentality! Get down to your local flying club and get to know the folks there, make the tea, whatever!

+Dean Heit thank you for your support Dean, I hope we can motivate your lad and help him achieve his goals!
