Since I'm a TheCivLifeR subscriber I've earned a small fortune, can't get rid of ladies attracted to me, I grew chad chin and put on 15 kilos of muscle mass. Just by subscribing to your channel. Thank you. God bless you.
Your comment makes a lot of sense, except which God are you invoking for the blessing? I hope you're optimizing the correct one that gives bonuses with the blessing?
man got plains hills, floodplains, 2 lux, a geotherm in a perfect place for an aqueduct, healthy number of mountains... but tbf low food/production yields
@soapypaos6595 I mean planning is all fun and stuff. Problem on deity is that when you plan those things, considering that other civs are much more advanced, barbarians are more advanced and stuff, you gotta play a really decent early game in order to even get those things, and by the time you have them, the other civs will have them too ;)
Dude... I've put in literally over 10,000 hours among all 6 civ games and I literally learned more from your one video. I went right after watching this and won my first game with kupe. I won't lie.... quick deals is insane too.
old comment but i had the same experience. i never knew hard building science districts can set you up so long as u have decent production regardless of the situation.
AHAHAHAHAH "It's been 5 minutes and I haven't settled the city, so those of you who are still watching the video, you must have nothing going on in your life" looooooooooool
I think I may just be the king of bad starts. Once I had 2 hours to play before I had to go to work, I restarted and restarted for the whole 2 hours and if flat useless lands could get more flat and useless they did. Needless to say I didn't get to play that day. Good times, ya!
Great stuff! If you ever feel like doing something similar, I would love to see a deity guide on a culture victory with as few wars as possible. That one is what I struggle the most with, a pacifist culture game on higher difficulties.
It can be done somewhat more easily by expanding your empire through early conquest - and keep expanding afterwards with new settles and growing cities as tall as possible. Pay attention to other civ relationship status and their agendas as it will help avoid being denounced to maintain open borders. Establishing friendships and alliances can nearly assure good lasting relationships provided you don't later cause major grievances. Some key great merchants add bonus tourism with international trade routes. Obtain great works from running theater square festival projects or by trading with other civs. Entertainment complexes, water parks, and wonders all increase tourism initially, while walls and most unique or city-state specific tile improvements add more after discovering flight. All tourism multiplies greatly after discovering computers and environmentalism. The online communities economic policy card stacks another 50% tourism to your international trade routes.
When I started looking up guides on how to git gud, I expected to only find dull and clinical video essays. Your commentary is hilarious and it's really good at holding the viewer's attention. I was almost cry-laughing at some points in this video. This is the kind of commentary that I would listen to even if I knew nothing about the game!
watched the entire thing, I would've never ever considered even trying to win this game with that start.. well played! I'm very impressed also your humor is incredible keep it up lmao
I really liked this 3 hour plus start to finish, unedited format. Was like watching a (long) movie but with my fave content and lots of your customary puerile humor 😅😅😅😅 Beats Netflix!
As a proud CivLifer Subscriber, I will come forth and utter this amazing insight: 2:20:16 "You could upgrade your fighter, but the AI almost never build planes" and 2 turns later the unpromoted-plane gets triple penetrated with enemy planes. xD
I just cannot jump from immortal to deity. No matter how good a start I get, and how quick I manage to mount a horseman or swordsman rush, even if they dont have walls, my units suffer more than half their health in damage when attacking their city. Even if i somehow manage to take it, it falls to loyalty before I can sufficiently heal up and move on to the next city, which inevitably by then, they have walls and my war is fucked.
"really bad start" 10x better than every start I have ever had. For me a really bad start is starting in the ocean with no water within 30 tiles. Surrounded by barbs that spawn on turn 3 and hills so you can't take more than 1 step per turn. I know I said in the ocean with no water. Trust me my starts are that bad. My average start puts me in 50 tiles of desert. With every barb camp starting right next to me
You forgot the 6 scouter start. The Scouter rush on a Civ will bring it to its knees. Super cheap unit to quickly surround a civ to prevent it from healing and all six for each to attack the city in one turn. You then give the city back to the civ for good peace deals (high gold per turn to by city infulstructure and settlers. XD :)
lul That is NOT a Bad Start AT ALL! You literally have 3 unique luxuries in the second tile. This is much better than an average start. Not that it matters because the game is super easy anyways.
I'm trying my hand at the ultimate deity challenge, but with *all* game modes enabled. I won a diplo win with Lincoln, but now I'm stuck with a badly planned out (thanks, me) Macedonian empire. It's turn 188 and I have about 5 cities, 3 of them don't have any good districts... Pain.
When you are placing the Map Tack of a district on an empty field (in order to plan your city), how can you set the yields to be shown? I usually play with Gathering Storm. Could it be that this improvement came with later game releases? Thanks in advance!
I like cheating with mods too. My favourites are the selling menu and early expanded vision. I crank the latter up to like 10 tiles so I can make sure there is at least 1 AI threatening me.
nothing short of an sensational video i didn’t know how my 2 chromosomes can cope 3 hours of this shit but hey i watched all of it call me civlifer duck rider or whatever idfk

Is there no Civ 6 video where someone is playing on Deity on a huge 12 player map against the AI. Has no one ever done that before, not even on standard.
Since I'm a TheCivLifeR subscriber I've earned a small fortune, can't get rid of ladies attracted to me, I grew chad chin and put on 15 kilos of muscle mass. Just by subscribing to your channel. Thank you. God bless you.

15 kg of muscle mass are you joking😂

'This is a really bad start' Plans out a 7-Campus and a 7 Industrial Zone
I wouldn't be surprised if he planned the start to be good as a meme XD

Translates to: “fuck that is NOT a joke that can be in this video”
Tip: do plan out districts, but do know that the moment you do strategics will spawn there
?
@@oswaldorodriguez7383 The bummer of having strategic resources on your district tiles is always there to bring bother
Or play Vietnam. Strategic resources can’t spawn on forests.
Play with removable resources and districts mods

This is the SECOND time I've been recommended your videos. Crass, vulgar and irreverent, with a voice that can only be endured, not described.
Subbed.

The humor, the narration, the slip ups etc are a huge part, along with the good expert-level play. I second this
Now THAT's the video I'm looking forward to watch
Dude this video was amazing, love your style of commentary, funny and informative, much love my guy ❤
Awesome to see a full playthrough! Would be awesome if you did one for each win type or even character ha but that might be a bit much

10/10 video. I don’t need sleep

This is a great Civ video!
Hilarious delivery! Keep it up
Enjoy your vids and I’m learning a lot still haven’t won on deity but I am improving
the way you talk reminds me of the earliest penguinz0 vids like 10 years ago

I like how Cleopatra just stands there \(^_^)/
best podcast ever
I've only played about 4 games so far. Next I'm going to try to figure out that map tool where you can see what cumulative bonuses you get with zoning
You can press shift+a to add map tacks and it saves clicks

Whats the mod that lets you see what the other civs are producing?
If you can win with Kublai Khan, you can win with anyone.

yo youre a funny ass dude wtf
Just realized my play is very ineefficient. You've done many things just at turn 120.
You call that a terrible start? This is just average for me, almost every game I'm sandwiched between tundra and desert...
even if you kill the settler after stealing it, it is worth it because the AI has one city less afterwards.

Made an inaccuracy ❌
Made it harder / No need to optimize ✅

I cant vouch for the educational content, since i am an amateur, but holy this video is funny
The burping is disgusting

dow do u show the + (production, science, etc) on the tile when you put tags on them?
better map tacks mod
