    Ranger Point quality and customer Service is top notch. Ordered the barrel band forearm when I needed the End cap version (found out while watching your old video to install), emailed them and they sent me a return label and shipped the correct part out immediately! Great company.

    Brian, I'd like to see a video on scopes for the 45-70. Both standard and scout scopes. And maybe best or most useful power considering the amount of drop on the 45-70. Great videos, keep them coming.

    Wow this install is far more involved than I originally thought. Was almost impossible hammering that piece out and may have even chipped the metal a little removing that piece as shown…. Hope my rifle isn’t ruined from having to beat on it that hard.

  • @pingpong909

    Question on the tensioning screws. Do the screws end up marring the metal on the barrel if you tighten it firmly?

    Which do you prefer as far as trigger extensions go ? Henry Hammer Spur or the Carlson Hammer Spur.

    • @buildhuntxplore
      @buildhuntxplore  2 роки тому +2

      The Carlson extends to the left, so I have no need for it. Of the two, I would pick Henry. If I could have any, I would go with the Ranger Point because it is heavily stippled and very easy to get a secure grip on with your thumb.

    Thanks so much for the content - I just installed this handguard on my Marlin 336 Dark series (remlin). My RPP front tenon was very snug and took some persuation to get in. Would the front two set screws be considered optional if the tenon fits very snugly? Considering the Gen 1 handguard had no set screws and I dont like the idea of those screws leaving marks on my barrel.

  • @Jr-eu9ex

    Had a quick question for ya. I have one of the new Ruger 1895 sbls and I noticed something I have a question on. In one of your older videos you put a hand guard on a remlin 1895 and mention the bulge on the magazine tube and the importance about the direction due to loading. I noticed that my new ruger made Marlin 1895 sbl doesn't have this bulge at all. It is completely smooth all the way. I just wanted to know if you noticed this as well or if I should be contacting Marlin for warranty😂

    • @buildhuntxplore
      @buildhuntxplore  2 роки тому +1

      No, I've only done takedown screws and handguard to the gun itself. Check with Henry Customer Service or Louthan Gunworks on IG. They should be able to confirm. I think you'd be fine, but I would check just to be sure.

    What rifle is at 00:34 standing up in the middle? Stainless steel with the grey laminate. It looks similar to a Rossi R95 30-30 I checked out today but I'm wondering if it will accept the RPP parts. Not as desirable with the SS but i think a black would be alright.

    Hey I know this is an older video, but I just bought this exact rifle and am installing a Ranger Point Precision handguard and my magazine tube has no bulge… I haven’t attempted loading or firing yet. Do some 1895s not have a mag tube bulge?? Or did mine get put together on a Friday at 4:30

    Not to be a bit picker but with an underlever I usually rack it three times. Racking once just means an empty chamber, given you probably checked the lifter, a little extra insurance never goes amiss. 😉
