The real ultimate controller would be one that you could easily change the bottoms to match Xbox or Switch and use the BT with android. The USB dongle need some improvements too.
I have the 2.4g black Nintendo-style controller. I leave the controller dock connected to my pc constantly. If I ever need another pro controller for multi-player, it's not that big of a pain to connect the dongle to the Switch dock.
The Ultimate's joysticks being Hall Effect sensors is well worth the investment imo. Especially for someone who is playing fighting games such as Tekken 8 or Rivals of Aether 2. Now I just need someone to create an Octagonal shell. Otherwise, the controller is pretty much perfect for me!
The naming of these controllers is terrible in my opinion. First, there is no "Ultimate" version of the Ultimate controller, every version has it's pros and cons. What makes things even more unclear is there are also 2 wired versions of the controller. There is the Ultimate Wired Controller and Ultimate Wired Controller for Xbox. The Xbox one seems to only work on Windows and Xbox, when I tried it on Steam Deck and mobile months ago it didn't work at all. The Ultimate Wired (non-Xbox) lands somewhere between the two Wireless options. Exactly my fking struggle atm. I want to buy the Ultimate (the one with all features for 70 €) and my only fking fear is that my hands are too big for it (Got size 9-10). I legit searched the internet for nearly a week for good controllers but the 8bitdo ultimate is absolutely the best thing you can get for 70 bc it has the charging dock, dongle, stick sleeves etc all inclusive and others are more expensive without all of this
What do you think about the stick tension between the 8BitDo and the stock Xbox/PS5 controller? Is it stiffer/lighter compared to the 1st party controller? About the same???
I REALLY wish I had watched this video before buying. I got the 2.4G because I really wanted the pastel pink color, but as you noted in your color comparison, THE TONE IS EXTREMELY SUBTLE, it looks almost white next to colored objects. The color on the box and on their website are rich and bold in comparison. I was SO disappointed when I unboxed and saw the color, it is honestly such an ugly tone and it looks like the color has been sun bleached out. I don't understand who approved this tone for production, what is the point of making a pink controller that makes you question of you are even looking at the color pink? What a waste... Anyway, that's my rant about the color. Aesthetics aside, it's a great controller and for PC use, you really can't go wrong with the 2.4 since the adapter works from its place inside the dock, it doesn't take up any extra USB ports and feels like an adapter-free experience. Just don't get conned by the deceptively pretty pink, or you'll be a sad panda like me.
Basically, Ultimate is waste if you don't have Switch, since it doesn't support bluetooth on PC ( i mean it does, but if you play games that aren't compatible with Switch controller or you play from other launcher that isn't Steam, it will not recognize)

@@Manwha123 then you must disable gyro ingame, none of the controllers I reviewed has a function to disable gyro
can it connect 2 controller on PC play arcade game like street fighter Player 1 & Player 2 on same PC
I have exactly the same question, how did you troubleshoot?
When using the dongle usb stick, it causes my pc to crash
VK do u know if you can connect the Xbox One controller to the 8bitdo Bluetooth dongle? I can't get it to work so I suspect you can't.
according to their webiste it is compatible, but i only have the xbox series X controller, my controller pairs normally
@@VKsChannel it pairs with the 8bitdo dongle? i see.
@@JohnSmith-XYZ yes
is the pink one bluetooth compatible as well?
yes they update Bluetooth mode on ultimate 2.4G(xbox-layout) in firmware 2.0 (now 2.4)
they can use Bluetooth in D-input mode
you can use it Bluetooth on iOS device maybe you can use with Android and Nintendo switch too
but im not try it with nintendo switch but work well with iOS device (BT mode)
I would like to point out the looseness of all the buttons even on the more expensive one, after a wear in period there's loose springs in the joystick which can make it drift. has more drift after 2 weeks than my dualsense had for a year up until the controller pots wore out. its the springssssssssss
so would you recommend this or the dualsense? I thought the hall effect had no drift?
Can you test the gyro on android? Please
I don't have it anymore but it probably works
what game did you want to test?
@@VKsChannel cod mobile, im using android tablet but i dont know if the gyro works on android
if the gyro works with a switch pro controller it will work on this one, but do you want my honest opinion?, if you want to play games on your smartphone go with a flydigi controller, it is just perfect for mobile gaming, I suggest the new vader 3 pro@@BORING2629
@@VKsChannel thank you for your suggestion
Hi I have bluetooth version of this controller and my circularity test is %19-16, is it normal? Should I refund it?
Should be the same as the video
I find the switch controller too small for my hands is this controller bigger?
About the same size as the pro controller
@@VKsChannel thank you, I'm also considering the king kong pro 2 but it doesn't seem to be as premium as the ultimate
Exactly my fking struggle atm. I want to buy the Ultimate (the one with all features for 70 €) and my only fking fear is that my hands are too big for it (Got size 9-10). I legit searched the internet for nearly a week for good controllers but the 8bitdo ultimate is absolutely the best thing you can get for 70 bc it has the charging dock, dongle, stick sleeves etc all inclusive and others are more expensive without all of this
Wait so I can’t use the pink one for switch at all?
sadly no =/
What do you think about the stick tension between the 8BitDo and the stock Xbox/PS5 controller? Is it stiffer/lighter compared to the 1st party controller? About the same???
It uses Hall Effect sticks so it's more looser feeling than Xbox controller.
Hello, does both have analog triggers?
Yes
you have to shake the controller to wake up the switch
Do you know if both versions use hall-effect sensors on the joysticks, or just the Bluetooth one?
watch the full review to know the answer
just the bluetooth one.
@@VKsChannelYou suck. Just answer the man's question, dick.
@@-aid4084 Thanks, you're more useful than the Channel lol.

Basically, Ultimate is waste if you don't have Switch, since it doesn't support bluetooth on PC ( i mean it does, but if you play games that aren't compatible with Switch controller or you play from other launcher that isn't Steam, it will not recognize)
is this controller has " dual sense " as PS5 controller's do ?
Nope
😊with one is for android smartphone?
Both can be used on android but the 2.4g with the latest update is better
A question: If I buy it wired version, can I plug and play it on Windows?
yes
@@VKsChannelThat's great! Thanks.
I have a Dualsense but it's not well suited for PC and I'm gonna sell it.
I was thinking about 9th gen Xbox gamepad but this gamepads wired version is way cheaper than Dualsense and 9th Gen.
It may be the best choice for me if it works flawlesly.
are the triggers analog?
Yes
@@VKsChannel thank you also should i get this or the machenike g5?
Can use them wired like ps4 controller or no?
Only if you use an adapter
They are not compatible with the ps4 alone
It's NOT 8bitTHO it's 8bit do
They have a speaker that says 8bit do
Hahaha there will be a discussion about this everytime
On the pro 2 video I said 8 bit do and people complained that should be 8 bit doh like ninten doh
@@VKsChannel 🤣😂 8bit do no doubt about it
I have Pro 2 with phone clip since launch and not sure if i should upgrade, works with my phone and PC and switch flawlessly and still no drift luckily
8bitdo also sent an email to someone who asked the same question. The response was “it’s doo like scooby doo”. I also have the speakers which say 8bitdooo as well. This is always a hotly debated topic and I don’t know why.
