      Your comment makes me feel just a nano second, a micro inch second better. I lost my 33 yr old son to an OD 3 months ago. In my apartment. He introduced me to BOH- among so much music....I think of that and it makes me feel like an ok mom ❤

    • @zachcannon4982
      @zachcannon4982 3 роки тому +6

      People don’t really talk about how hard it is to lose friends; which is who I am assuming you are referring to when you say “I miss everyone I once knew then....”
      Break ups from long friendships are tough and long; it’s like mourning the death of a loved one. You feel betrayed, alone, angry, and sad; it takes forever to get shake those feelings and move on from those people who made such a big impact in your life and the person you are to say.
      But people come and go out of lives for reasons. Some are meant to stay, some are not. There will be good times and there will be bad times, but that still doesn’t mean you aren’t able to make these same kinds of relationships with new people. I know how hard it is to find friends as you grow older; how lonely and isolating it can be, but we have the world at our fingertips thanks to the internet and technology; so is hope to build new relationships and maybe even rekindle old ones.
      And who knows, maybe those people are out of your life for the better. Look at it this way: they gave you the seeds to grow the garden that makes you, you. Without them and without their loss, you wouldn’t be the person you are today. Sometimes things that appear bad are really blessings and gifts to us in disguise.
      I see that this comment is from 2 years ago; a lot has changed since then. I hope that you and your loved ones are doing well through everything and I wish you well, random internet stranger. Stay strong!

    His voice causes my heart to leap out of my chest like Wolverine's blades, and it hurts just the same. Why does his voice touch something so primal, sad, & beautiful? I don't understand how one person's voice can do so much to me. I can only listen to one or two songs at a time, I get too emotional. Love to all of you who feel the same

    I just discovered Band of Horses, as they opened the concert last night for Kings of Leon at Lakewood Amphitheater in Atlanta, and they had their own fan base there, who sang along to all their songs. They figured alot of us weren't familiar with them, and kindly introduced themselves, and explained that this was their first full set with KOL, since the previous night's show got cancelled due to lightening. I was impressed. They did a great job, and pretty much rocked the place!

The video clip is nice , but will never do the album justice. Something magical happens every time I put the album on and just imagine anywhere the album takes me. Video clips could never do that. It goes to show what a great band Band Of Horses is and how the "Cease To Begin" album is an all-time keeper.

Now that my parents are divorced my dad only plays CD's and my mom doesn't turn on the radio at all, except for when my stepdad plays his own music. It's been so many years but I just thought of this song at 20 to 1 at night and now I'm back on memory lane.

    I used to just lay in bed with my turntable playing this record on a loop. I could just listen to this for hours and not even know time had passed. BOH is genius.
