I haven't heard this song on about 8 years. My god the memories from that time in my life are flooding back to me right now. I miss everyone I once knew then...
People don’t really talk about how hard it is to lose friends; which is who I am assuming you are referring to when you say “I miss everyone I once knew then....” Break ups from long friendships are tough and long; it’s like mourning the death of a loved one. You feel betrayed, alone, angry, and sad; it takes forever to get shake those feelings and move on from those people who made such a big impact in your life and the person you are to say. But people come and go out of lives for reasons. Some are meant to stay, some are not. There will be good times and there will be bad times, but that still doesn’t mean you aren’t able to make these same kinds of relationships with new people. I know how hard it is to find friends as you grow older; how lonely and isolating it can be, but we have the world at our fingertips thanks to the internet and technology; so is hope to build new relationships and maybe even rekindle old ones. And who knows, maybe those people are out of your life for the better. Look at it this way: they gave you the seeds to grow the garden that makes you, you. Without them and without their loss, you wouldn’t be the person you are today. Sometimes things that appear bad are really blessings and gifts to us in disguise. I see that this comment is from 2 years ago; a lot has changed since then. I hope that you and your loved ones are doing well through everything and I wish you well, random internet stranger. Stay strong!
I remember being at least 8 or 9. My dad loved your music! I wanted to be just like him, so I'd secretly take his Ipod. And just lie under my bed, peacefully listening to all the amazing music. Definitely a core memory:)
I saw this performed live tonight in Chicago. It was the first time I've ever heard this song, and the first time I've seen Band of Horses live. A very serendipitous experience.

Man, the singer is great. I just realized he could perform Beach Boys vocals to perfection. I'm not a big B.B fan but he could hit those notes no doubt.
I actually really like the lyrics, lol. I know a lot of people complain that it's only two lines in the entire song, but it really makes it unique. Definitely got my attention.
I just discovered Band of Horses, as they opened the concert last night for Kings of Leon at Lakewood Amphitheater in Atlanta, and they had their own fan base there, who sang along to all their songs. They figured alot of us weren't familiar with them, and kindly introduced themselves, and explained that this was their first full set with KOL, since the previous night's show got cancelled due to lightening. PETER!!!! Absolutely love Fringe. am now watching for the third time through the entire series.
And after 2 years of the original post, this still holds true... Peter of Boston sent me here :-)
I'm into metal but this whole album gets heavy plays next to Tool and Opeth. Must be in my top ten fave album. Amazing songs and vocals. They are too damn good to huge and long may they remain the same!
_"A pillow is a memory bank for dreams stored by the sleeper."_
This statement is proven to untrue as evidently narrated into the video clip.

Pensar que esta canción fue hecha hace 13 años, pero tiene toda la composición de los 70’. Maravillosa música….
this dude sings like a light rock singer from the 70's...with the music,it makes a trippy combo

This is one of the songs featured on the soundtrack for the movie Due Date starring Robert Downey Jr and Zach Galifianakis. I had never heard it before, but it's awesome! Now I want to know more about this Band of Horses. The movie is awesome too.
Seen them twice live. An embarrassment of riches. ❤❤
Ghost or no ghost, taking my pillow in the middle of the night would get your ass beat in my house...
Quand rien ne vas, j'écoute cette musique
Moi aussi
