Same in spain. People jump on the tracks all the time to avoid the ticket controls or to vandalise trains with graffiti. Zero consequences. Fucking shithole...
Its a much cheaper temporary solution while central government sorts their act out. I have used the bus interchange service multiple times now with the electric busses, and its pretty good. It will be even better when the new station opens. In reality most of the users of the PT to the airport area are not international travellers and they shouldn’t be the main consideration. Regional travellers, and the vast number of workers out there will use the service far more.
I used the airport shuttle from Puhinui in July 2022. It was fine and did the job of getting me from the station to the terminal in good time. And for not much money either. It also didn't have many other passengers. That makes me question of spending on a rial link can be justified yet.
It will be really so great to see the railway extended over to the north shore out through to Mt Wellington panmure to howick to the airport light rail from Mt eden onehunga to mangere airport out to wiri Kanaka etc hobsonsville warkworth
It is now 2020, 20-35 MPH speed limits Network-wide. 10 Minutes added onto a 30-35minute journey. Delays, cancellations, rail buses. As soon as investment stops, the trains do.
The new trains are nice, they just don't have enough doors! Only two doors per car is not enough, this delays the flow of passengers at stations. At least three doors per car are needed
Well NZ cities aren't big and aren't densely populated. So they don't need a rapid transit metro or anything, and probably couldn't attract enough patronage to justify the running costs of one.
@@deanl4575 I'm from Auckland I am very aware it's a Metro a world class metro system that includes double decker buses, ferries and world class electric trains
@@adryantai9867 as an infrequent visitor to Auckland I’m not so sure I would call it a world class Metro system..it’s good certainly...and it’s come a long way in a few short years...waiting for the CRL to open for my next visit...once AKL has trains to the North Shore...a light rail system...trains/light rail to the Airport...THEN I’d personally call it a world class Metro system..Cheers!
@@adryantai9867 I think your a bit ignorant. A Metro is a rail system that's mostly underground, as well as surface and elevated, it's also rapid transit with a high commuter capacity and Auckland has none of those things. The CRL could kinda classify the Network as Metro after its completed but in terms of world class I completely disagree. The European and Asian Transport Networks are world-class. Auckland is .......... getting there.
Quite impressed with the comeback rail has done in Auckland. I hope this is a sign of more great things to come especially with the CRL.
Yes a big change since 30 years ago hahahaha.
One of the best videos of Auckland trains , well done
I love how you also put clips of city’s landscape.
As a train geek, I really appreciate your videos. Thanks.
2:32 here in brazil they do this often but nothing happens.

Seriously, Auckland needs to get a rail link out to their airport... the bus interchange isn't fun after a long international flight...
TheSaintST1 More expensive, but the other option is the direct Skybus.

@@jackgibbons6013 jeez, I must tell Manchester, England, that they got it all wrong then. Junk the train, go back to buses instead... lol!

Wow, why did that happen??
Wowww. Beautiful trains !!!! It will be best if they make lesser sounds .
Very much agreed.

They just sound like rio de janeiro trains which were made by chinese or korean people, I don't know.
These ones were made by the Spanish Inquisitors but how loud are the Rio De Janeiro trains?
