Yes. I meet with two talented ladies to knit and crochet on Mondays at our local coffee shop and we were discussing the easiest way to carry the different yarn strands without weaving in the ends. I forwarded your video to them. I will definitely be trying this technique.
Yes! I will try it. Have you tried circling with the previous yarn instead of the new yarn color? It looks like you can see the orange knot in the black. If you circled with the black instead it might not be as visible.
I’ve seen this technique before, but never tried it because the last half of how to do it was never described well enough for me to figure out what was being done. YOU were quite clear though, so now I get it! I don’t know if I would use it for color changes, but I certainly would for adding a new skein of the same color. Thank you!
It’s definitely tricky but take it slow and watch all 3 videos if you need to (mine and the others I linked in the description) and there’s no harm in giving it a try 😊
Good technique, but very long winded and you’re left with lumpy knots that can come undone. The best way I have found, is to change colour on your last stitch and just crochet your ends in as you go. There are lots of UA-cam tutorials out there for this.
I've seen this before and have tried it , it was frustrating for me never quite got it right but it's definitely a great tip . I'm working on chevron blanket right now and changing colors EVERY row🤪... what I've been doing is basically the same thing but just doing another type method of a knot , omg a lifesaver, personally I don't mind knots they get covered up anyway and i know my work is secure . Thanks for sharing !
That’s how I feel about knots too! That’s great though. It’s awesome when you can find a way to get out of weaving in ends, especially when you’re changing colors every row 😆
I understand the concept of this technique but I’ve never tried it. Im am a hard core no knot girl. Weaving in ends don’t bother me. Yep, I’m a misunderstood rebel.
You are very easy to understand direction I have seen slippers made with granny squares.. My mother made them for my son and he wants me to make more as his are about10 years old. I would be glad to buy a pattern
@@SigoniMacaroni I have an over flowing amount of yarn that I will never get too And I’m not really good at the UA-cam video thing so I decided to pick from my Halloween hat all the names of the people I watch on here, with permission, to send a happy mail box to the winner Nothing needed in return and you can keep the yarn or donate it or give it away either way it’s yours if you win
Thanks, Sigoni! I'm definitely going to try this technique! I realize it will take practice, but I never thought I'd be able to do the Magic Circle, either. It took LOTS of practice before I could do it. So I'm willing to practice this technique, too, until I can master it! Just like the old, old song by Frank Sinatra about the ant moving the rubber tree plant! The ant had "high hopes" and so do I! (I know, I know..... The song was waaay before your time, but it's inspiring!! Lol) Have a great week!! 🐜🐜🌴🌴🐜🐜
I love Frank Sinatra ❤️I used to listen to his genre on repeat. Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, Johnny Cash, they're my favorites. You are so right though! You got this. Come back and let me know once you have it down 😉
What do you think? Will you give this technique a try?!

Yes, definitely worth giving it a try! I’m glad I was able to make it more clear
That's confusing, but I think I like it, as magic knots have came undone for me.

I'm not sure about this but it certainly doesn't hurt to give it a try.
Definitely worth a shot! It is tricky but with some practice it’s a game changer. At least for me it was 😊
GREAT tip!!!! Thank you!!🥰🥰🧶🧶
You’re so welcome!
A standard "Magic Knot" is way easier to do and leaves a much smaller knot. I definitely won't be using this knot
No problem! I’m glad you found something you like better

I wish I could pay you to weave in my ends!
@@SigoniMacaroni I would do it for free!! And I over weave so nothing will ever come undone!!😘

Thank you so much. Can't wait to try this.
Let me know how it goes!

Thank you!
This works!!! I love this! Took me a few times. Than you!
Love it 😊 Thank you!
You’re welcome!
Thank you 👏. I think it's a super good way to join different colours 💜. It's been thought through so well. I love it 👏🌷.
I’m so glad you do! It was a fun new trick to learn 😊
Does this work for granny squares?
Yes it should! Give it a try and let me know if it works!
Can I put your name in my drawing for happy mail?
I’m not sure what you mean. Which drawing ?
