watching this 6 years later. ActiveTrack used to be a premium feature, now its on all DJI drones and even the mini 3, the phantom was the predecessor to all great DJI drones. Amazing.

I hope to have the DJI-4 in my hands before the end of this year, will be using it a lot when I take my motorhome on a trip across the United States. It will be a great addition to doing my startup UA-cam blog Ron's RV adventures. Definitely will be able to see and show more of my trip than just using the GoPro I just bought . Yes the price is just a little out of my budget right now but I have been saving my money to be able to have it before I leave.

My names Travis and I've been watching your incredible Channel, and all your crazy and innovative products and I enjoy each and every Video. I'm a 25 yr old male fighting bone cancer (an osteosarcoma). I grew up loving R/C cars and planes but once i built my first racing drone, my love for drones/quadcopters and FPV cinematography blew up.
My family and I grew up going to the river, snowboarding, and dirtbike riding and now that i cant ride due to me losing my right leg from the cancer, a hemipelvectomy, the drone has pretty much givin me more than my leg back, I get to flyyy!!!!!! I've always wanted a DJI Phantom drone, ever since they first came out, the price has just always been in the way, just a little steep. I've been wanting to film and record all the places me and my family go to so i can begin to learn to edit as well as Casey Neistat :) I learn by watching, practicing, and then doing!!
And if I end up ever end up getting a Phantom 4, other then having heart attack, I won't hesitate to use the drone to record all of my family outings and vacations as well as use it as a tool to help show my battle of bone cancer and as you probably would know, I wouldn't know how to Thank You, like I would seriously freak LoL

Was hoping for an increase in megapixels for stills however the area detection and increased flight time is very nice.
Megapixel count doesn't always mean you have a better image, you really need good image processing.

+Kiril Ivanov When releasing an innovative product, you don't want to be just 'good enough'. Phantom 5 probably won't be out for over another year, so is 'good enough' going to last until then? What will the competitors be doing as far as sensors/camera quality in the next year? Could DJI suffer from using an 'old' sensor? DJI has been anything but just 'good enough', they have been quite impressive and amazing over the past 4 years, so my original comment wasn't to the fact that I thought the sensor sucked, but rather because they didn't raise the bar like they have been in the past, they decided to just float(as far as sensors go) this time. I guess we'll find out over the next year. We have to remember that GoPro launches their drone soon, so DJI not offering a newer/more competitive sensor may be a deal breaker for some people if the GoPro drone comes to play. We may even see some current Phantom owners make the switch. That being said, I assume GoPro's drone will be incredibly overpriced. Good with the bad I guess. Time will tell.

It is interesting the video, especially the shots in snowy or polar areas, because the limitations that inform its characteristics, indicate that it can fly from 0 degrees Celsius, and I very much doubt that in those shots it surpasses!

This is by far the best drone I've seen it think it's even better than the matrice which is 4 grand and the inspire one 3 grand and the voyager 3 2 grand. I'm so tempted to get it but I don't know if I need a super filming drone I like aerial photography but I prefer racing drones maybe if I get some more money in, I might get it.
