I have 68 scottsdale stacker 10 oz bars!! By far my favorite 10 ounce bar. And I have 7 Pressed bars from RCM, Royal mint, St. Helena, Asahi and a generic bar.

I bought a ‘random our select’ 10 oz bar from an online dealer (maybe -Monument Metals?) I expected I’d get a sunshine minting bar, nope, it was a Nadir bar /COA too. I Was surprised. I do like the asahi 10 ounce bars too, very clean and sleek.
I don't mind the Nadirs, but honestly...they wouldn't be my first pick. As for Sunshine, I think their bars are pretty well-made. Asahi makes a straightforward product...their width drives me nuts, though. My OCD kicks in!

Good show. I'm currently in the market for private mint bars, not generics and definitely not collectable, since I'm on a budget and just wanna protect my wealth from myself (wasteful spending). I would buy a government minted bar if I can find a deal on it. The generic bars don't appeal to me because they're not as nice. That's my opinion on this.
I love the gov-backed bars, but also have a few collectable 10's as well, along with a couple of generics for weight. 10's are just my favorite for stacking!
Gotta love the savings on my ten oz bars. Working on have ten of each of the 5 brands ive got. The Unity and Liberty bar along with the Asahi ten oz bars have been my go to being that they're normally the cheapest premium. Peer to peer is definitely the way to go when you can get a win/win deal made
The generic bars are best for newbies. After you’ve got some weight in those, move on to the Government mint bars. The collectible bars are just for fun, so stack for weight first in case you need to sell in the event of an emergency
10oz bars stack nice and makes for easy math. When you said that if the spot goes up to 30 or 35oz it won't matter...thats 100% correct. The higher the spot gets, the less it matters what you have. I sold my stack in 2010-2011 There were TV ads buying Silver and Gold on every commercial break on TV on every channel. Buyers were setting up in hotels in every major city. Every dealer was paying the same, and it didn't matter if you had beat up old Buffalo rounds or MS70 graded ASE. They wanted it ALL and paid the same for EVERYTHING. Now I have 3 Silver stacks. 90%, Vintage and everything else. Each with their own cost average.The "Everything else" stack is for ratio trades to turn Silver into Gold and tanking the cost average of both metals at the same time. I've been tempted to start trading, but with the ratio, I would be totally shooting myself in the foot, even though my numbers already work.
I like the categories. I would say the generic or privately issued and dealer branded would fall together in recognizability. I really like the variety and collectibility of them. Great video sir.

I wanted an Asahi 10 oz bar for my birthday but things happened so I got a 5 oz Scottsdale stacker round instead. 😁 I'll get a 10 oz bar eventually either an Asahi or a Royal Canadian Mint.
My monthly order has been 5x 10oz + 10x 5oz of the Unity & Liberty bars from Coinhuskers in Omaha - premiums right around $1 consistently means the metal piles up quick.
Beautiful selection never seen 99% of those in australia. 10 is a manageable size. I like the pamp and generic with character if it’s odd and interesting I like it 😂
I like my Germania mint bars (I guess that you would put them in the "generic" category) due to their security features and use of LBMA bullion sources. For government mints, make mine The Perth Mint which is wholly owned by the Government of Western Australia. Their stuff is second to nobody. Apmex is just too proud of their stuff ($$$$$)

Great question! Here’s my experience with Brittania 10’s: I have 18 of ‘em from over the last 4 years, and not ONE has spotted! I can’t guarantee you the same results, but that’s what I’ve seen with mine so far!
From the bars I did sell there really doesn’t seem t be a huge difference when selling diff bars so now I wonder if it’s even worth buying the big name bars what do you think? Thanks
Different places will likely offer different prices, but it wouldn’t surprise me if they gave us spot on most bars. Have to be careful with what we’re buying out there!

Where do you buy your plastic covers for the Britannia's? I'm looking at some on Amazon but some complaints are saying that they fit but don't seal - the cover just falls off when you pick it up. Thanks
Coins are a better value here in Spain, nevertheless I have a few 10oz bars just because of the stunning looks: 2 x Beskar bars and one Britannia bar. I want to add a Lady Fortuna too, looks great. Beskars came with a capsule, but I can't find a capsule for the Britannia.
The left one is a 2012 Year of the Dragon bar by Elemetal, I believe. The one next to that is the “Freedom Bar.” Not sure if that’s the official name, though.
There are a few! For pressed bars, you can buy the Royal Canadian Mint 10oz'ers and the Great Engraver bars from the Royal Mint are also 4-9's. For cast bars, several companies like Nadir, Germania and Heraeus offer 4-9 bars as well. Honestly, though...you'd be fine with any 3-9 bar...the difference isn't really worth going crazy for.
Nadir bars, germania, RCM and some of the Royal Mint bars are all 4-9s fine. Just being 4-9s fine should carry a primium over all other 3-9s fine. If Nadir is the lowest price, and a good looking bar at that, then it should rightly be fitting as the bars to get as a 4-9 fine. Some bullion dealers do charge more for all 4-9s fine Ag over 3-9s, while others dont. Why should Nadir bars be the cheapest? Why is that?
There truly is a small difference between 3 and 4-9’s fine, so I disagree that a premium should automatically apply to 4’s. For example, the Silver Maple is 4-9’s, but the Silver Eagle isn’t. And we know one is far more expensive than the other! Nadir puts out a nice product, but it’s not as familiar a name as some of the heavy hitters. Italpreziosi also puts out gorgeous bars, but they fall into the lower end of the price spectrum because they’re not a huge name. Either way, it’s an opportunity for us to stack quality silver weight at a lower cost. 😉
Honestly? When I first started, I bought a 100 because I thought it was amazing. Then…instant regret. I had a hard time unloading it, and was lucky to get back at least what I had into it. Kilos are as high as I’ll go now, and 10’s are my favorite.
This is a great video. Peer-to-peer trades are 1000 percent the way to go. Pmsforsale has been great to me as a buyer, and I even sell/trade there a bit now :). Again, excellent and informative video, S&GSA!

I just graduated from 1 oz coins and bars to 5oz bars… I am using it as a saving account, like you’ve stated, to buy gold… but who knows. Diversify
I never was much of a 5oz stacker. I have several, but I gravitated more towards the 10's. I do keep two full Guardhouse boxes of 1oz bars, though.

I became heavy in silver, and did the same thing. Traded a bunch of generics for Pre-33 Gold. No regrets.

Amazon. On Fire Guy. Be careful, though; there are a lot of non-airtights that absolutely suck, and won’t hold. This guy seems to have the best ones.

Why is that?
There truly is a small difference between 3 and 4-9’s fine, so I disagree that a premium should automatically apply to 4’s. For example, the Silver Maple is 4-9’s, but the Silver Eagle isn’t. And we know one is far more expensive than the other! Nadir puts out a nice product, but it’s not as familiar a name as some of the heavy hitters. Italpreziosi also puts out gorgeous bars, but they fall into the lower end of the price spectrum because they’re not a huge name. Either way, it’s an opportunity for us to stack quality silver weight at a lower cost. 😉

Thoughts on 100oz? My first ever silver buy was an RCM 100oz and now I’ve been getting 1oz and 10oz to mix it up
Honestly? When I first started, I bought a 100 because I thought it was amazing. Then…instant regret. I had a hard time unloading it, and was lucky to get back at least what I had into it. Kilos are as high as I’ll go now, and 10’s are my favorite.
