- Bullion Dealer Tells What EXPERIENCED Silver Stackers are Buying NOW! Should you buy silver bars? In this video I discuss why experienced silver stackers are focusing on silver bars and constitutionals silver bullion. Tim, my local coin shop silver dealer, also weighs in on large silver bars like 100-ounce silver bars and kilo silver bars, and he reflects on hard-to-find Engelhard and Johnson Matthey silver bars. I love stacking the American silver eagle, the Canadian silver maple leaf, the silver Britannia, and constitutional silver ("junk silver"), but should you avoid those silver coins and stick with silver bars like the experienced stacker who shows up at Tim's coin shop? Watch and find out!
I stack silver and gold to hedge against our debt-fueled, fiat currency-based economy that I am convinced is nearing the end of the road! Consider stacking silver and gold yourself to help you build and preserve wealth. And thank you for watching Yankee Stacking!

10 oz Scottsdale stackers.😎
For those that are considering the Turkish bars, I will tell you that I’ve melted dozens of them, and the 4 9s produces some of the most beautiful poured Silver pieces I’ve ever made.
How much of a difference do the 9's make? I've acquired 590 oz. of silver within the past year. I was somewhat hasty with my decision making. Most of it is 10 oz. bars, it's all .999 silver. Out of curiosity, how much of a difference is there between .999, .9999 and .99999?
@@adrianmcleod3067 ….There is no practical difference in silver stacking between .999 and .9999, more mental or cosmetic (if it’s a bar that “looks better” to you). You’re not going to be richer or poorer having one or the other.
Am curious, what do you melt them for?

Thanks for your great support, Tex
Tim is a good old goer isn't he, never idle, full of fair and good info, happy to serve his country and people with a smile, and you know he is you're friend. Great video thanks Yankee !
There's just something nice about holding a bar of silver. I prefer the 10 oz for the same reason as the gentleman in your video. 10 ounces seams like it would be easier to move in a crisis. I like how nice the RCM bars look, especially since they don't have the queens ugly face on them like the rounds do!
If you like the feel of a 10 ounce bar in your hand, pick up a kilo bar... you will fall in love.
Lol ! Agree
You won’t be saying that when she passes everyone is going to want coins with the queens head on.Watch and see.
@@bermondseyboy1660 I never looked at it that way.
Agree 10oz 9999 bars 👍
Thank you Yankee Stacking from a subscriber resident on the British Isles. A five star channel!
Please let Mr. Tim know we appreciate his tips and thanks for sharing his store with us! Like the SD Bullion spot too. Funny.
the video with Tim in them are some of my favorite on your channel always enjoy his perspective and insights into the community and what's really going on thanks Yankee and Tim
Thank you so much for watching!
U made a Tim icon? Cool 👀
Heard my son watching your video the other day. We got into a conversation about how much we love your videos
Love to see and hear from Tim! A lot of wealth from men like him!
How the heck do you not have 100k+ subs. i would of thought you were at a million already. Oh well, people missing out is not my problem! As always, thumbs up from me! God Bless!
All silver is good! Buy what you like! I buy it all. I have some of everything! All silver has a purpose and a market!
Tim is so "James Bond" classy. He is a gentleman and a scholar.
I wasn't a bar guy at first but with the crazy premiums I started stacking some 10 oz Scottsdale stackers which are very nice.
This Guy Tim!! I think We all need a Tim in our
Lives!! Thanks and thank you Yankee Stacker!! Tim is A National Treasure!!!
Always love it when Tim is the point man.
Thanks for the Stickers, Yankee
Being I’m Canadian. I love my RCM 10oz bars. I don’t think I would go to a larger size. I’m kinda the the same as the customer you were talking to. I go more for the weight. Basically find the low cost silver 🇨🇦🇨🇦🇺🇸🇺🇸🍻
Even though I'm no longer a stacker (yes, I had to sell all my silver recently), I'm still excited about one day getting back into it and, watching your channel keeps me in that frame of mind!
Thank buddy! You’ll be back soon.
Use it when you need it. No shame in that
It's ok many are doing the same. Just get back in it when you can.
Been there, done that. Got started back up about 6 months ago. But thats exactly what its there for. You don't have to borrow money, nor do you have to take out a loan. Good for you that you had a stack to liquidate!!! Most people dont
I’m kinda in the same place have a little bit compared to what I had
I have been buying Scottsdale 10 oz stackers! I really like the way they preciously fit.
I picked up my silver today and there was a very pretty bar in the case. Was tempted but think since I'm so new to this I'll stick to coins for now. Watching and learning. Thank you for making it so fun. ❤️
1 oz and smaller will be easier to barter etc but still nothinh wrong with bigger weights etc
Your doing right just focusing on coins for now etc
Stick with coinage until you have at least 1000 ounces.👍

My first silver was a 10oz bar then a 5oz then a different 5oz, then some 1 Oz dragons and then some gold ..diversity for me plus interesting items vary up what keeps me interested
I was up in Manchester recently, unfortunately couldn’t stop by.
Gotta pick something up a little something and stickers!
I'm a 5oz bar guy. Love the size and the stacking ability is amazing!
In the last few months I switched mainly to silver bars when buying silver!! 10oz and kilos for me!!
Love your channel . ❤ from Morocco
Been stacking for about 8 yrs now, mostly rounds and bars (SD, Monarch, MMX, etc. plus from my local coin dealer). I really like the kilos and 10oz.
!0 oz Scottsdale stackers for me all day long for me. I love the way they stack up so neat and compact. They are a little higher premium but they are what I like to buy.
I love to get them out to play with too. 😍
Every Video with tim gets a thumbs up before started!
Thanks!
Love IGR bars I got 10s, kilo, and 100s
Just bought my first ABC 1kg 999.5 Silver Bullion. I'm really excited for it to arrive. Great video by the way keep it up👍
I have been buying valcambi kilo bars lately(best appearance) , but I love the look of the Asahi 10 oz minted bars... They are beautiful.. Recently bought some of those even though they cost $1 per ounce above what the kilo bar cost. Just wanted some of the 10oz Asahi. Will probably revert to the italian or metalor kilo bars in the future. Bullion Exchanges in NY seems to have the best prices. I use off site storage.
1 oz. bars & rounds make up my 400 oz. tally. Now, I need to stack Constitutional Silver for the SHTF that's taking place and for bartering. Thanks for the informative video!!!!
Just bought 2 kilos today. Never before have I bought bars and my first were kilos. Have decided to stop paying high premiums and just stack weight
Good vid Yankee!!! Its always a pleasure to hear what Tim has to say. Thanks for the vid.
Love my constitutional! It's 95% of my stack...and I like it like that!
I love the 100oz bars. They're great for propping up my smaller bars for photos 🙂
I’ve been buying more bars lately 5-10 ounce bars and then on the last dip bought two germania mint kilo bars.
Tim's premiums have been slowly creeping higher....
I’m just fond of this nice, good mood in that shop !
I love those IGR Kilo bars, I`ve purchased several. They just feel and look beautiful
This is a great channel. Informative and personal at the same time. I recently did a 6 month stay in the Northeast, and I was surprised at how hard it was to find a good coin shop in the area.
They are mostly into the stock market, which is not a bad thing IF you have a keen grasp of everything that propelled it, or have an investor who does. But next to no one knows when the stilts get kicked out.
there is no good coin shop, they all take a CUT, even the most reputable coin shop has a little bit of evil in their vault somewhere, never trust a Salesman.
cant get enough of these , keep Tim coming
Little fact: UPVC is just PVC without the extra ingredients used to plastisise and make it flexible. I have had the first hand pleasure of extruding UPVC window frames in huge quantities, fun for about a week...
Loving the channel btw, great work! 👍
Had been buying only ASEs for the last 6 years, but switched to 10 oz bars for the last 12 months now. Plus picking up a roll or 2 of dimes a month. I feel like those will be super useful in the not so distant future...
I just got a roll of dimes delivered here myself. Along with some gold. Gonna start stacking more constitutional silver for the rest of the year.
@@jholeify the silver (and gold) 1 gram combi bars are just too pricey. Dimes and quarters just make more sense right now. Im probably going to bite the bullet and buy 1 or 2 packs of the gold maple grams. I see them coming in handy.
@@tomdriggett9719 yeah the combi bars are definitely pricey. Though I am tempted to bite the bullet and grab at least 1 silver combibar for now. But for the time being its mostly gonna be junk silver and fractional gold. Gold has a pretty low premium right now. I did get a good deal on a 1/4 oz Philharmonic gold piece through SD Bullion.
@@jholeify After you have a few dimes, silver quarters works very good.
@@aaronwilliamson4045 that's my goal. Gonna work towards $35 face value for each coin, dimes, quarters and half dollars.
I could listen to yankee, and Tim all day. So much good information. 👍🏼✌🏻
PAMP Kilo's are my favorite!
Love the RCM went when I was younger, I’d love to go back and take the tour again! Don’t know if it’s still there but they had a massive gold bar in the gift shop you could touch! That was cool!
IGR has always made nice looking bars
I trust this coin dealer more any other I`ve seen, just seems on the level. Great video.
He’s the real deal.
I like 10 oz bars myself. Speaking of serialized bars, the Scottsdale Mint stacker bars are serialized no matter what size you buy them in - 10 oz, kilo or 100 oz bars and they're currently produced. I know a guy who has some. HIGHLY recommended!
Those scottsdale stacker bars are exquisite.
@@well.thy.one. I now only buy from Scottsdale and only their bars, their shipping is extremely fast, buy early friday morning and here by monday, and I am talking over 2k miles travel distance.

I get whatever is on sale so I am going for weight. If 10 ozt bars are the deal that's what I grab. I have kilos, rounds, 5 ozt bars and 250 Gram bars (1/4 kilo), 1/2
Ozt rounds and 1 ozt bars. Never had a 100 ozt bar. Whatever was on a good sale was what I got and doing that has made a huge difference in the size of my stack. Thanks for the great video Yankee & God bless
There is lots of petroleum used in the mining and refining of the silver.
Not your Christmas! Love it! Love these videos man. Learn so much and it’s fun content always.
I love Wednesdays seeing Tim!
I found a terrific kilo coinbar, the Niue 2022 silver note. It is a 50 NZ dollar engraved in a silver kilo bar, gorgeous, I'll make a video of it when I'm back from vacations.
I have been stacking mostly 10 oz bars for years
Just pre ordered 100 oz of 2022 silver libertads. N 1 Oz Gold Libertad My only silver n gold purchase for the year

Geiger Bars are Beauty, Pearl finish, UV Seriennummer, LG from Germany!
Enjoying your vids, thanks. Btw, I tried to shrink wrap one of my 10 bars with clear plastic and a blow torch!!!!’ Needless to say, it wasn’t successful 🥴 J.
Just picked up a 10oz silver bar and a quarter oz AGE yesterday from my local coin shop.
So crazy the premiums on constitutional. One of the reasons I was attracted to it was the finite source. I guess the word is out.
Yeah, kind of a rip off now imo. Part of the reason I liked constitutional way back was it was cheaper and less chance of fakes. Now neither of those apply.
I really like your videos. Your wisdom is awesome on silver and gold and everything that is going wrong in this terrible government we have
I've been ordering shot lately and pouring my own bars. It's quite fun and allows me a significantly larger variety in my collection. I've got bars ranging from 5 grams to 25 oz. Even started pouring my own molds. Been casting bullets, rings, pendants, statues, etc. I'd recommend pouring your own to anyone.
Love it!!! Keep on stacking brother.
I’ve been stacking only 1oz rounds for a while now. I used to only stack ASE’s but the premiums are too high. I figured I’ll get more silver if I go with rounds per my budget. My goal is to have 1000oz in rounds and ASE’s. Once I achieve that in a few years I’ll think about stacking 10oz bars.
I’m in your boat. I lack 100oz of ASEs to fulfill my goal but can’t pay the 60-70% premiums. I’ve been buying RCM 10oz bars in the meantime(and gold). Just ordered some. Two 10oz bars were $110 less than a tube of ASEs.
@@silverrabbit9493 If the economy reverts society back to bartering for goods and services then I want as many 1oz rounds as I can afford! Lol
@@117rebel Unless you plan on cutting your 1oz rounds to make change, i’d definitely get at least a $100 face bag of constitutional dimes to accompany those rounds. Keep stacking to the rafters! 👍🏻
@@eightzerotwo def not trading at face value. Folks going to be in for a rude awakening. That $0.10 face is going to get more than some think. That is true value.
Love your format and content. I am new to stacking.
Changed my plans on ASE's. Buying Buffalo's instead. The Buff's pack 24 per tube (pack only 20 at mint) and can fit 20 per ammo can for 480 total with room for 20 more in capsules plus desiccant pack. Can't do that with the ASE tubes of 20 only. Picked up 120 Buff's Monday for $28 each. ASE's are running $35-40 each locally.
What the guy at the end said fit perfectly. In today's time I'm stacking for weight. Not necessarily numismatic value or even the best condition/mints. Purely weight, because when the SHTF I'm going to need it for trade and barter. In those instances farmers won't care if it's Canadian or Britania they're going to sell no matter what to meet their needs as well
Picked up the Buffalo and Flag 10oz bars from Highland mint. They’re out there. Came from Dallas vault B
Great video ..im just starting to buy gold and silver and my take would be 10oz silver. Living in Canada everything is expensive. I have a little cash stashed so I'm ready to buy soon before the markets really crash by the MSM!
I giggle when he was talking about Sunshine. I was over at a Hiring event (I'm an HR GM) and saw their booth trying to hire people. If they are like my company here in the inland NW probably having a hell of a time getting people to make products.
Tims office/showroom looks like mine, how does he ever find anything ha ha I`ll bet he can go straight to anything. Love the show.
Great video! I love the info as well as the banter! 🙂
Stack mostly 5oz but have a few 10oz when I can afford.
Buying 10 oz, 5 oz and 1 oz bars when I can find them, followed by constitutional quarters, my local LCS is selling them for 19x face.
Kilo bars are my favorite way to hold silver. Also have some 100oz bars and 1 stack of silver eagles.
I use to have ever size of bar Sunshine made. They don’t “stack” that well together. Sold them all for that reason. Now only RCM 10 oz bars. My advice is pick a bar and a size you like and stick with it. Can’t have a bunch of dead air space in your treasure chest😁
I sure would like to get in there and tidy up the place.
An easy way to look at a kilo is to add $10 face of any 90% coins, to any combination of .999+ fine silver, that adds up to 25 troy ounces = 1 kilogram
I first started out as a collector, mainly getting 1 oz "art bars" from the 1970s & 80s. From there I branched out into the older 5 & 10 oz poured bars. As far as stacking goes, it's basically anything except the type 2 ASEs........5 & 10 oz Sunshine, Scottsdale, MPM, JM, Engelhard, Geiger, Ital P, Noah's Ark (which come in everything from 1/4 oz to 5 kilos), the various distributors like APMEX, SD, & JM and even some of the higher premium novelty silver from Yeagers and Polar Bear Pours. I have what I like and what I have to eventually sell & barter with. Keep up the good content and stay silver Yankee.
Yankee ole son. Great to see you paying another visit with Tim for us. His wisdom is to be paid attention to for sure. After all these years gone by I finally took time to visit your store of sorts. Next months pension $ will have me coming back my friend. Tim and you have very similar thoughts in the approach to PM's. I have never been led astray over the many years I have followed along here. I will never forget the first 10 ozt bar Mary and I got. It was from a bank up here and paid through the premium heini for them. A few years later it went to a visit to my torch, LOL. Dimes & 100 z bars for me. When I need some silver for jewelery I saw a 100 z into 3. @ 1 kilo. each. Then I melt it and usually alloy it to sterling 925 for jewelry strength and stamp it as such.

Hey Yankee,
I hear you're buying all the old quarters.😂 I'd really like to have one. Any one. Cant get em in Canada.😢
My stack is mainly 10 oz coins. By them when they first come out and usually have a nice premium to them in a few years. Of those, 10 oz Kooks and Maples are my go to (pre covid anyways. Kooks have become too expensive).
The soft plastic used is vinyl.
I have all the sizes of bars but after my first order of a 100ozt bar and a kilo I decided to stick with the smaller denomination stuff in case SHTF. But I don't think I would ever sell my scottsdale 100ozt long bar i also pick up 10ozt bars if I find a good deal
I agree with the last gentleman; strictly weight, no bling, gearing up for SHTF and the end of fiat… another great video 💪🏻💥
