I love this camera. My first Fujifilm. I wish they'd make an updated compact with a built-in zoom lens.
I recently got a X20, and my experience matches most of what you described for the X10. One difference is that the X20 has a X-Trans II sensor instead of the EXR sensor. I have some quibbles with the JPEG output, but I am habitually a raw shooter anyhow. I find the X20's raw files process beautifully in RawTherapee. It also gives me a lot of options for film emulation, so I'm not missing anything there.

Bought this one a few months ago in mint condition, specifically to test the EXR technology (it's pretty amazing). Later I got an X30... Now I am hunting an X20 😆 Those classic Fujifilm X cameras are pretty addictive.

I know what you mean. I started with an X70, then an X100T, then an X30 and recently an X10. I love the look and feel of the X10. I really enjoy Mono street photography on the X10. A joy to use with its zoom.
Oh my, I have one of these. It was my first digital camera - glad to know its worth something! I think I'll take it with me on my next trip, feeling nostalgic for those pre-smartphone photos.

I agree - this is a special camera. I gave mine to my daughter to nurture her interest in photography and art. I pine for it and also hope a modernised version is released one day.
Its a great camera to learn photography.
I got mine from a friend. Lens has a chip on the outside edge, but after fixing the battery door. It works perfectly.
I also use a 2005 8.1 megapixel Ricoh GR digital. Always in my pocket.
I did enjoy the video very much Andrei. I am currently living in Benidorm and its a nice place to be taking pictures too. Some interesting stuff around here. You made me want to go to Valencia to explore again. I hope this heatwave goes away soon so we can go out and enjoy photography without feeling dizzy.

I have the X20 and it's pretty cool even thought the optical viewfinder is a bit buggered.
If Fuji made an update to this it would eat into the X100V sales.
Yes it would and that is why we won't see any new release for cameras like this.

I love this little camera. I got an X20 as well because I didn’t realise the X10 didn’t have the xtrans sensor when I got it.
I like them both very much and they should be more popular. The hype for the x100 line is a bit crazy when most users wouldn’t even notice a difference in sensor sizes for their usage

A great little camera, but mine stopped working with this "on/off" rotation of the barrel : motherboard had to be completely replaced, costs were the same as buying the X30 at this time.
So I bought the X30, which had its own mechanical problems too (endless ring stopped working, too...).
Too bad, because they were nice tools to travel light et shoot nice pictures, indeed !
If they redesigned this slightly larger with a crop sensor and the latest film simulations, they would sell a million of them

This camera surprised me too, I got the x30 instead of the x10 for 190 euro. Was a bit scruffy, but works and shoots great. Especially the handling is top notch. If you wish a premium compact camera with zoom I would take the x10-30 any day. I am now looking to sell my Canon G5X since I like the handling so much of the x30. Also hunting for a cheap x10 or x20. Just in case the x30 breaks.

I was able to repair an X10 Camera that had a Focus Error, which I paid EUR90. Was able to Tear Down the camera, remove and clean the Lens Unit. Now it works perfectly. A great buy for EUR90. Complements my X30 and X100T. Smaller than both the others, so easy to take everywhere. Love Fuji cameras.

Is it just me or is everyone trying out this camera in the past year? Am I getting the feeling that Fujifilm is testing the waters? It would be amazing if they renew the sensor and add 4k video. It worries be awesome if they collaborate with Sony and release their own version of rx100vii with 1 inch sensor.
I have this camera when it first came out and it brought me into the world of Fujifilm. Since then I got the x100T, F, V and XT20, 30 and XT4 and several lenses in between.

I got the x20 when it was released and still love it to this day, it's a beautiful camera. It's still like new, has always been protected with a half case and man it's a beauty when it stands on the shelf beside my film and digital cameras. I lend it to a relative so she can learn photography.
If want to learn and post to Instagram it the perfect camera. I even prefer its coupled optical viewfinder compared to the xpro3.
The x10, 20, 30 are really good cameras to start learning photography.

I bought one for my wife at the same time I bought the XPro1 for myself. It is a lovely little camera. Great images and easy to use, but very capable if you want to shot manual. I will take it to Spain on my next holiday in April.

Hi , i like y video..last year i bought a X10..send it to Fuji Germany for check up..they replaced the lens unit (had to come from Fuji Tokyo 😉) it takes great picture's. I use 6mp ,ISO100,DR400..astia or jpeg! I don't see much diff between 12 mp and 6 mp ( 12mp ISO200 DR 200)..Nr is -2...alway's ...the red channel clips easy with red roses..i turn red to -4 or 5! What settings do you use? Take care..have a nice day!

I rented my wife this camera for our honeymoon. I carried a d7000. The image quality is higher on the Nikon but my wife enjoyed using that camera more. Great lens, great stabilization, decent meter, great package.

I still got mine from day one it has been released. I also still use my X-Pro1. Great cameras. I wonder if the Fujifilm X-S1 would also be interesting? It is basically a X10 with a big Zoom Lens from 28 to 650mm f2.8 to f5.6. Will have to get a good deal on one of these to test out. :)

I had a X20 that I foolishlyvsold. I was comparing it to a Pentax X1. Now looking back on some of my old files the X20 shots just pop. I like the ability to use custom film recipes in jpg. On ebay now looking for a good deal on another. Thanks for the video.

Great video! Wait what’s this about the clickable back thumb dial being a problem with weather sealing on the X-T4? Where did you learn about that?
I saw a video on the Omar Gonzalez channel talking about the X-H2S press conference where they said that they did not include a clickable thumbwheel because it is a weather seal problem. So that makes me think it is a problem on all cameras that have a clickable thumbwheel like the X-T4.

@@AndreiDimaReviews it seems to overexpose a little. The on-screen exposure is normal but then on taking the image it shows over exposed on the screen, and seems over on reviewing on computer. It’s a bit weird.

hello i have a question for you i just bought one myself and I noticed that it needs alot more light than usual, im outside and its noon and id usually shoot say 1/200 , assuming other settings are fixed but this camera needs like 2 more stops to expose should i be alarmed that its a faulty one or is this normal, i cant shoot it inside at all even if sun is coming out the window

Unlike the T-2 and beyond, this WILL go in your coat pocket. The trick with all zooms is to have a lint free pocket. We all know what happens to pocket zooms that don't allow the lens to be removed. Worms in the skies....
To be honest also swappable lens models suffers from dirty dusty pockets... but yes, it's a big downside. I have no worms luckily in mine yet, but pm 2.5 is challenging to say the least...

Hey, the difference is not big but it is noticeable. I write you in English because its better for my SEO. The X10 has some gorgeous colors but it is bad in low light.
Considering that it is 11 years old electronic, not fm2n or leica iiiF, how much longer do you expect it lives?
Around 5 more years depending how you use and protect it.

Is this camera still worth today? As an everyday camera? I am trying to get one but it’s selling for $550 just wanted to see if it’s worth that much for an everyday camera? But I saw an x30 for $589? Not sure which one to get or which one is better for an everyday camera?
The price is way to high, I got mine for 160 euro, if this is your price range look for a x70. Or get an X-E2 and a 18-55mm lens, its a great combo for every day use.

How do you protect it from weather? Does it have weather sealing..? I just got one for a photography class.. it is either too hot or raining outside..
I keep it away from rain/water because it is not weather sealed. I don't have a specific way to protect it. I had no problem with heat.

No moiré filter makes the sensor much sharper. Then you add a bit of contrast in the settings...making the black a bit more black...and it will pop.
