I saw probably as an adult, but I felt this as if a kid-just the movie. & I’m 72 yrs & every scene is permanently etched in my memory !!! The name “Spider Web Castle” is something I use to describe anything or anyone, that could be stronger, but is not !!!
This is why Kurosawa is one of, if not my favorite film director of all time. Well done. You are one of the few I’ve seen that really goes into detail as to why his films were so masterful.
Really enjoying this video series. Every one is well researched and well written and as someone who's not super familiar with the language of cinematography, I always find your commentary on that aspect interesting. Cheers
