In this week's video I take you along for a full day of eating a vegan, whole food, plant-based diet. And I take you with me as I shop the local markets and farmer's market in Joshua Tree to stock up on groceries for the week. I believe everyone should eat a diet that makes them feel their best physically, mentally and morally. I've found this diet is what is best for me, and wanted to share some of my daily staples and favorite recipes.

LOL I live in Montana, and if I would have gone outside to eat my lunch on Saturday, I could have poured my drink into my mouth and it would have frozen live stream before it got there... It was -30 something f. 😊 It is above zero today though, but I still won't be eating my lunch outside! I really really enjoyed this video! Thank you.

Have you ever tried making your own kombucha? It's actually really easy. You can grow your own scoby just from the store bought kombucha and then all you need go brew it is tea, sugar, and water in a jar.

Lovely video! I think I will try making my own granola, but with peanut butter instead. Not very fond of sesame/tahini. (And, although not vegan, I might add some organic honey)
Every since I’ve moved two years ago I am no longer close to a market. I miss it so much! Markets in Holland are cheaper than stores and often have organic, package free/paper bagged produce. And entire stands just for nuts! Freshly roasted, unroasted, sugar coated, chocolate covered, all kinds. The smell is amazing!

Love your videos. I especially enjoyed seeing how chickpea "tuna" is made today. I was thinking that to help grate the cheese you could freeze it for a little bit first then it won't be so soft. :) Everything you made looks so yummy and I have to try it!

@@RebeccaSisson I didn't like it at the beginning but at 4 months I started to. Now after 7 months I don't know if I will ever go back to really long hair.
I actually found your channel while I was researching shaving my head. The most noticible thing right away was how cold my head was and I started wearing hats regularily.

I need this pandemic to subside so our stores can go back to offering bulk supplies. Some stores have completely removed their bulk sections and most others still have their bulk sections but are bagging the goods. 😔 I get it but it still hurts my soul.
The stickers on produce need to go. What happened to the good old days when the cashiers would have a master list of the produce codes??
I agree! I am so scared their not going to put the bulk back when this is over. We don't have a lot of bulk options anyway. A section at whole foods and Kroger.

I absolutely adore your videos ! I wish I could have access to a farmers market too. I don't have one close by and don't have a car so that gets complicated. Also, it's freezing here and everything is covered in snow... I'd prefer to have lunch in the sun like you did, but instead I had lunch while watching this, which is not that bad ;)

You can make your own tahini, find a recipe for measurements. But I'm sure all you need to do is roast the sesame seeds, then blend them dry in the Vitamix until it's smooth xx

🤣 You two are so cute. That granola looks yum and so did the pizza! Goji berries are kind of like adding dried cranberries. They add that tart flavor that jazzes up things like trail mix, granola, yogurt, etc. Yum!

🇬🇧 Hello 👋 I’ve just come across your channel and currently binge watching them 😀 I’m gradually getting into minimalism and changing over plastic to something more eco, I’ve always used the material face masks, I think they are much prettier, show off your personality, eco and work out cheaper in the long run.

Before I got a nutmilk bag I've used parts of nylon tights ^^ cut some part of a leg and made a knot on one side. The milk became really smooth because it filtered really well. With my nutmilk bag more residue goes into the milk. The tights-bag-thing was not as big though and got holes easily.
I use pulp in my oatmeal (i make it with only water) or to add kind of creamieness to sauces when cooking. Goes really well in curries or tomatosauce for pasta, amongst others :)

I just took my TV down over the weekend after realising I watch far too much.
The difference is amazing I get so much more done and am more relaxed than ever .
I will probably put it back up but will continue this practice and who knows I might eventually lose it completely 💜
