Mad late to the party my guy but fucking right? A straight up 2 in 1 + plus an ungodly drummer = musical magic. Back in like '09, like before they had any live vids or real interviews, I always thought there was like 6 people in this band
Idk why people hate this, this was really good I bet most of the haters don't really know how to even play an instrument or aren't musicians so they don't know the struggle
I´m a musician, perfectly aware of it all , still , besides the effort it takes to work out the tech aspects and play the basic lines on top of loops blah blah - I didn´t recognize any Joy Division in any notes he was playing tbph ... actually you can say it also "loses" the "spirit", not only the" feeling" ... " feeling" ... " feeling" ... "feeeeeeee - liiiiiing !!!"
Keep in mind its a live cover, haters. Many of you probably don't know the difficulty of live. Live joy division doesn't even sound like studio joy division.
I'm a massive Joy Division fan, and I usually covers, but I really didn't mind this one, maybe it's because I really like El Ten Eleven as well. This was pretty interesting.
I think if Radiohead covered Disorder, I wouldn't have a thing to complain about. Their cover of Ceremony is incredible, even better than the original arguably
Couldn't wipe the grin off my face during the whole song. Part of it sounded like the Ventures being summoned to cut a rug with Ian and the boys. Can't wait to see them in a couple of months in Seattle (El Ten, not the Ventures). Hmm, come to think of it, Don should get the guys together and jam...
@MrSawlong he uses 2 Sabian HHx 18″ Manhattan Crashes stacked as hi-hats and 15″ paiste giant beat hi hats, i was curious as well, so i looked it up lol. paiste has some really good sounding cymbals.
Favourite Joy Division song, really really really cool cover! I just would've preferred the guitar in the beginning somewhat less clean and a bit "crunchier".. :)
I realize all that, which makes me understand that I really don't want to hear any other band play this besides joy division unless they can actually pull off the same emotional feel. This version feels stripped down emotionally
i've been working on a disorder cover. i'll try to finish it. the instrumentation in this version is very straight and doesn't really take the song anywhere new. not criticising this band, just this cover.
I'm no expert on this band whatsoever, but I assume they got their name from the Lockheed L-1011, commonly pronounced L ten eleven. (Kind of a slap in the face to Boeing if they're from Seattle)
Karla sheryniele Christ you're ignorant, read my replys to other people. Also please don't judge, lol "We the Kings", "Fueled by Ramen". Do you shop at hot topic too? :P
I love this cover, but I think you're right. But I think El Ten Eleven just wanted to adapt this song to their own style, not to give the same feeling than the original. This song is not their best at all.
I've been waiting for the vocals to come and take me by the hand
I've been thinking bout this comment for a while
Nice meme, but it do be El Ten Eleven though
Could this song verses make me fell the lyrics of a normal man?
dont normally appreciate covers too much but he has skills with that loop pedal
What do skills have to do with appreciating a cover? My brother has many skills, and I never want to see the bastard again, ever.
The drummer has got some mad skills
Human drum machine for hire.
Too bad he did not stick to the original groove.
Original, brilliant. I'm amazed to see such an original version of this song! Great work.
Joy Division and El Ten Eleven. A match surely made in heaven x
Everytime someone makes a Joy Division cover they get hated hahah just enjoy the music people.
Enjoy? This cringe shit is impossible to enjoy.
@@MilkoOfficialChannel ... lol.. you might want to give a listen to these guys , DEAL WITH DEATH cover of Disorder. I like much more.
Austin I.d. 😂😂 what do u even play music?
Just saw el ten eleven today at the Fonda theatre. Awesome show
OMG!!! I JUST literally fell in love with you guys tonight and now your playing this to make me fall even more!!!!
Not sure why so many people dislike this cover, coming from a die hard, this cover is absolute killer, its a cover!
You haven’t got a clue
What a cover should do
Wao!!!!what the hack is that guitar?!? It is 2 in 1 man! It is awesome
Mad late to the party my guy but fucking right? A straight up 2 in 1 + plus an ungodly drummer = musical magic. Back in like '09, like before they had any live vids or real interviews, I always thought there was like 6 people in this band
I personally love this version, it's not bad.
I love to see him making mistakes. Makes them credible. LOVE IT!
Wow. Love the bass/guitar combo. Nice looping, too. Cool stuff.
Idk why people hate this, this was really good
I bet most of the haters don't really know how to even play an instrument or aren't musicians so they don't know the struggle

" feeling" ... " feeling" ... "feeeeeeee - liiiiiing !!!"
It's fucking terrible
No please, stop, this could be better, just accept it , this was not that good
Keep in mind its a live cover, haters. Many of you probably don't know the difficulty of live. Live joy division doesn't even sound like studio joy division.
Why don’t you try hanball instead of pretending to play an instrument?
I actually really enjoyed that my uncle Ian would have been so impressed by you guy's thanx amazing.
He needs to attach a drum kit to that guitar, then he can do the whole thing himself lol
never thought much of looping, however what has been made here is one of the only bearable joy division covers in the world!!
Omg they're like two of my favorite bands
I'm a massive Joy Division fan, and I usually covers, but I really didn't mind this one, maybe it's because I really like El Ten Eleven as well. This was pretty interesting.
I think if Radiohead covered Disorder, I wouldn't have a thing to complain about. Their cover of Ceremony is incredible, even better than the original arguably
Take a listen to DEAL WITH DEATH playing Disorder cover. I actually liked more than this
Couldn't wipe the grin off my face during the whole song. Part of it sounded like the Ventures being summoned to cut a rug with Ian and the boys. Can't wait to see them in a couple of months in Seattle (El Ten, not the Ventures). Hmm, come to think of it, Don should get the guys together and jam...
The awesome guitar tone; the vocals
Great banter in this song.
Years after I found you, do I see that you totally love JD/NO!!!! I found you more…
Brilliant bass.
just impressed by the bass sound, nothing else...
K
this is better but it just needs guitar distortian
ya mama
Yep
That was incredible. I think the JD boys would agree with that.
this guy is a genius, obviously
Interesting. Nothing more, nothing less.
Very simple then again most JD tunes are
this is crazy how just play then record then loop then play that bass part over the looped guitar it's like one band in one man.
Cool interpretation of a great song, they really turned it into their own thing
forever ian curtis
Amazing
like it.
@MrSawlong he uses 2 Sabian HHx 18″ Manhattan Crashes stacked as hi-hats and 15″ paiste giant beat hi hats, i was curious as well, so i looked it up lol. paiste has some really good sounding cymbals.
GENIUS!
Favourite Joy Division song, really really really cool cover! I just would've preferred the guitar in the beginning somewhat less clean and a bit "crunchier".. :)

This cover is lit af
I think he is smiling @ 2:06 because that note he played is from another song maybe modest mouse? I'm probably wrong.
He forgot to turn the loop off for that part off lol
this is pretty cool if you ask me
This is really great.
Catchy tune mate
They didn't played it "faster but slower"...
really good
Great cover
Really cool
Things get interesting at about 2 minutes.
i've been working on a disorder cover. i'll try to finish it. the instrumentation in this version is very straight and doesn't really take the song anywhere new. not criticising this band, just this cover.
anyone know hat trigger/sample pad the drummer uses?
Cool, clever, and enjoyable. I kept waiting for a guide to come and take him by the hand, however.
I beg to differ, that was very good
JD forever.
awesome
More importantly, where did he get that bass/guitar double neck
Esta genial
@Kaoxon thanks
I find it horrifying people use Ian's name to bash on other artists. How dare you, they're not the ones he would be ashamed of.
thats a sick name for a band
I'm no expert on this band whatsoever, but I assume they got their name from the Lockheed L-1011, commonly pronounced L ten eleven. (Kind of a slap in the face to Boeing if they're from Seattle)
Wowow
Fucking amazeballs.
genial....y a pas d'autre mot...superbe reprise,exellent musicien...gg
This is soooooooooooooo goooooooooooooood. I don't know what's wrong with you. Haha
Chingo chingon (:
someone knows the drummers hihats?
what pedal was he using besides the looper?
what is the effect at 2:26
@misterbuckethead Never said I didn't know what it was. It's just a dumb name.
At first I was like, what is this dumpster fire? Then I was like, ok, maybe this isn't so bad. Then I was like, damn, that was kinda cool.
Jesus, am I the only one who enjoyed nothing else but the guitar/bass?
Carvin doubleneck. Lurk eBay, Carvin doesn't make them anymore. DB630 is the model Kristian has, I think. He also has another one.
fucking epic
omg his Lol Tolhurst lookin drumset NeeeD
hahahhahahhahahahahahahha i was waiting tooooooooooooooooooooo
They took away all the characteristics that made me love the original
zajebiste!
@wDubsy paiste's kinda dark. i love teh rides ;D
Oh wait. Ian dont cry for this..
nice
sweet carvin
Did he really harmonize that guitar part? Really?
Well post-punk exists, and punk exists.
Still I think post-rock doesn't mean anything.
He looks like John Squire from the Stone Roses.
if the video was turned off and all u could hear was the music, it would just sound like shitty midi music, lets be honest
Shitty midi music? Do you even know what midi is?
Dennie Maassen im referring to the old school computer music you hear on like doom or cheap cell phone ringtones
MrMastrsushi You're thinking of 8bit sounds, midi isn't even a sound.
Ollie Wilkins No, 16bit, like mario paint music
Karla sheryniele Christ you're ignorant, read my replys to other people. Also please don't judge, lol "We the Kings", "Fueled by Ramen". Do you shop at hot topic too? :P
3:31
1:23
Lol yeah, cause we might get a Post-Green Day one day if we keep fooling around with such mad experiments as Post-Rock & Post-Punk.
Look at all those loop pedals...
Should *
How can anyone dislike this?
Solo me gustó la batería
i would rather like this cover than original.
at one point, it could have been The Police lol
ueba etot El Ten Eleven
Hmmm. I don't think this song should be covered. Never-the-less...big El Ten Eleven fan.
I love this cover, but I think you're right. But I think El Ten Eleven just wanted to adapt this song to their own style, not to give the same feeling than the original. This song is not their best at all.
pretty cool. but also... get another member.
New Order disliked this.
I do enjoy el ten eleven, but I don't think post rock shouldn't fuck w/ post punk.
