They are so down to earth. 10 years or so ago at a show in Grand Rapids, MI, my best friend/roommate approached them to chat and they ended up coming back to our house to hang out and drink beer and shoot the shit. Just my story of how cool these two really are and aren’t too proud to hang out with us “regular” folk.
Such a great interviewer! Straight to the point-gives their responses a reaction then straight to a new question. Not wasting anybody's time. Great job.
Damn... the song spoke to my emotion... it just went through the heart and back and over and under. I'm beyond words. Their concept, their togetherness, their understanding, 12 years and more. It's too beautiful. Thanks for having them on your show and allowing them to share their songs in such an ... honest way, I guess.
I've been fans of these guys since at least 2009. I owe a lot to my friend who told me to go see them when they played in my town way back then. The amount of creativity they come up with is beyond any other group I can think of. When you are a musician and see a live session like this your jaw drops when you realize what you thought was a guitar was actually a fretless bass pitch shifted up and equalized to kill the low end, just amazing stuff. Btw; whoever was the engineer on this session is extremely talented.
That takes a lot of rhythmic precision and synergy between the 2 players to use a looper live in that way. This drummer must have a perfect metronome deep in his brain
Two guys! Talent & Electronics- El Ten Eleven is a Los Angeles post-rock duo known for combining guitar/bass doubleneck or fretless bass, with heavy looping, or vamping, and the utility of an effects pedal, over acoustic or electric drumming. They have released six full-length albums, 2 EPs
You could use that skill, but I assume you would need to be in the military... close to a live combat zone. So instead, don't use it to make money and instead keep making music. Thanks, love your music guys and i'm headed to see you at the red rocks in a week... after 10 years, finally.

Music was so good.
I used to think low of instrumental music. Yet I find myself leaning toward this music as I've grown older.
this is one of the coolest post rock bands I've ever seen
Excellent sound coming from that fretless bass. These guys are a real gem.

Incredible music! Saw them play at the Fillmore this week! Great show, love learning about new (to me) bands.
18:27 the camera man groovin to the music makes me smile
appreciate the interviewer for actually good questions and not being one of those fake all-voice radio hosts
This makes me want to cry I LOVE IT SO MUCH
Yeah how awesome is it. the songs are so nice, catchy as fuck
It takes listener or musician to appreciate this Rad music!

Would have been great to if the audio and video were sync'd
El Ten Eleven is known in Synesthesia circles as 'Immense Beauty.'
Wow - the crescendo at the end of Peter and Jack (starting about 35:00)..... wow

Awesome!!
How does he do those long and high pitched notes at the start of point breeze? Help me.
Hopefully you found out by now... It's an EBow. Look at his right hand, there's a device inducing the sound in the pickups.

saw that show at red rocks, amazing.
I think the bass player has a helicopter license which alone takes masterful skills to obtain.
Hermoso
sick
SO TALENTED 🤩
They should make a song called "Unseen Heli"
wizards
DAMN!!! 👍👏🔥
There is no such thing as a non-fiction novel. So 27:30 doesn't make sense to me. But Kristian Dunn is a hell of a bass player.
there is such genre, but your right he's a great musician
A novel, by definition, is a work of fiction.
A historical novel would be an example
Justin D - A historical novel would be a fictional account of a historical event.
They can be that as well.
Kind of like his two necked guitar bass and the bass being played by the drummer.
Pamparam pampam pam...
I heard a lot of New Order in the last song
I thought so too! Good band to sound like, though.
For some reason I kind of hear New Order in Modest Mouse, too. Anyone else feel that way?
are your referring to Strangers to Ourselves ?
I was thinking the EXACT same thing. It was awesome! Love New Order.
Its a tape
Ray manzarek is jealous
Did anyone feel that Mandela effect when there name changed from el eleven ten to el ten eleven
Nah
he'll be able to tell the difference between military helicopters coming to provide aid vs private jerks flying off to Epstein's Island #WWG1WGA
The host is a dweeb. It is like he is trying to act cool.
He can make profit by helping people who sexually identify as attack helicopters to find love. Like a heli Hitch
