I also prefer the old design. The old boxy design had a lot going for it. D5’s design too similar to the rest of the Land Rover family.

I love it. Especially the design. I just love their off road capability. They really do show that a good off road vehicles doesn't need to be a crude and old fashined barge with dated technology like the Prado. The Prado is just stupid and crude yet costs so much when there are cars that are much more modern and capable.

Guess I will look out for a LR4 or a SVR.

I am sure we will get used to it, that back side is next to the car.

@@stardustbilermam1736 Which one the LR4? A good low mileage one would be still my choice.
For a newer one I'll choose the Range Rover sport over the Disco 5 easily. Bot are not mean for real overlanding but the Sport is way more stylish ... unless you need a 7 seater...

@@BenzinioB I want a 7 seater and there are some lr4s with around 55 000 mileage costing 680 to 800 000. Some are more expensive than used new discos, including HSE Luxury demo model

@@stardustbilermam1736 Have no idea if you want a brand new Disco 5 or used as well... I have said a long time ago that the only chance to buy brand new car is to win a lottery but even then... It just not worth (personal opinion) as depreciation is savage and money hard to earn.
55 k on engine that should be able to do 200... It is relatively reliable vehicle... I would prefer the 4 over 5 because I don't like the overall design of the new one. 5 is more comfortable with more gizmo's but that could be a pin in the a** as well. If you plan more offroading then probably 4, if you like the look of 5 and need it to carry the family round town then 5 is ok...
