Thanks for subscribing and commenting 🥰 My favourite glue is GemTac, unless I’m doing something that needs a SUPER heavy duty hold, like shoes, or a rubbery/silicone surface, like my crocs video! in which case I use E6000. I’ve actually never used liquid fusion or fusion tack because I live in Canada and those are harder to find here! But I use GemTac for almost everything (tumblers, phone cases etc.) and have never had an issue with the hold 😊
I know this video is a little old but I was wondering how the stones do over the paint. I bling tumblers as well and it’s extremely frustrating not being able to find the correct color cup to match your stones. I would love to be able to paint my cups before bling
Hey Shannon! I just checked in with my sister in law I made this for and she says the stones have held up really well, the hold doesn’t seem to be any different than blinging non-painted. If you’re concerned about the paint, you could always resin over it before stoning! I actually coloured a cup with vinyl and sealed with resin, the colour match was great and it has held up perfectly. Hello i love your channel . I would like to make one of these on a thermos or thermal mug for a gift. Its important for me that these rhimestones dont fall off or break while washing. I would like to ask does it matter if i choose glass or resin rhimestones? is there a difference aside of shine? Please help:) which would you recommend to make a gift for someone?
Hi! Thanks for your comment! As far as the attachment of the rhinestones, I believe the most important thing is your application (making sure all your rhinestones are firmly pressed flat against the cup, no edges lifted overlapping another rhinestone) and ensuring you use enough glue, and using a good strong glue (I prefer GemTac). And also making sure you always hand wash and never put in the dishwasher! I’ve used both glass and resin and I prefer resin - sometimes I’m clumsy and drop my rhinestone projects and I find the resin ones don’t break off as easily as the glass ones do. Hope this helps!
Hi! Nooo never seal in your rhinestones, a top coat will fill in all the facets that make your rhinestones sparkly and you’ll be left with a sad dull result. Make sure your prep, glue and application are all solid and you don’t need any type of seal on top!

Thank you very much! It all depends on the size of the tumbler, and what decal you’re using (longer names with more letters in them will need smaller letters in order to fit across the tumbler etc.) I usually start by measuring the height of my tumbler, then I size my decal to have a bit of room around the edges. Unfortunately there’s no ideal size because it will vary depending on the decal and the tumbler!
After you painted the bottle with acrylic paint, did you use any kind of sealant to seal the paint? Or the acrylic paint it's waterproof? Thank you and sorry if it's a dumb question
Not a dumb question at all! I didn’t seal this paint and haven’t had any issues with it, but I have used some paint that peeled off easily so it might depend on what you’re using. I would test out painting and rhinestoning something very small like a dog tag to test it’s durability before diving into a larger project like this one!
Yes one bag was enough for me to do the whole thing! I don’t really trust the number listed on the bag to be consistent so I usually end up buying way more than I need haha but one bag was plenty, keeping in mind that the name decal took up a good chunk of the bottle surface as well. I should also point out that it was part of a 20,000 piece mix so I would think there were definitely more than 500 stones in the bag, probably at least 1400
Great question! I don’t know for sure but I would estimate around 10 hours. My scatter method tumblers take me closer to 30 hours but the larger stones and the honeycomb pattern make this one go quicker 😊
The size will depend on the font you choose and the length of the name! Because it’s only 4 letters it was pretty big. But longer names would need to be much shorter. I just measured the length of the bottle and made sure there would be a bit of space on either side of the sticker.

Was one bag of the 5mm crystal big enough for your bottle? I am defo going to do this with mine and I got 500 of 5mm
