It's a steal...the area is very Canadian and it's conveniently located to all the developments... yet it still have the privacy, rural feel...move-in ready..i'm also a Filipino-Canadian 🇨🇦🇸🇽...I've seen Iloilo City 20 yrs ago and now it's amazing...they managed to kept it's greens and laid-back feel...I love the seafood in Breakthrough Resto in Iloilo...the fresh oysters🤩 good luck to your new adventure👍

The agent for a house for rent that we are interested in, also referred us to a house for sale.
The lady owner told me she just has a YT vlogger couple checked her house recently.
I asked her if they were young Canadians and she said yes. I told her, I know them and follow on their channel.

Savannah subdivision is a good place to start,.there are lots of available single houses that are available for rent and for sale..

You should consider the place in an area that aren't prone to flooding. Border Barangays in Mandurriao and the outskirts of Jaro going to Pavia town if you want to be more of a rural feel.

Wow, y’all are getting lots of advice here. I’ll add a bit more. As an American who raised my family in Iloilo City during my 35 years there, I had to hunt for rental housing 8 times. It’s stressful, so hang in there! Every house I lived in had to have some degree of fixing up. The only time I ever lived in a ready-to-move-into place was when I stayed in Uptown Condo in 2019-2020. My favorite rental house was the last one I lived in at Princess Ville Subdivision next to the Sambag High School Gym along Lopez Jaena St. in Jaro. My rent was 20k pesos from 2015-2018. Check it out if you have time. Owner’s name is Joseph Dy. You can ask the guard if any of the 20 houses there are available for rent. But it seems you have lots of help, so I’m sure something will come up that will be acceptable. Just give yourself some time and leave aside a little budget for fixing up.

The Villa area (Sto. Nino Sur) and the Arevalo district for most parts is a good place. Not too far from the city, still part of the part of the city, but you're still far enough to get away from the noise and the rush you get from living in the busy districts. It's also a short drive to the downtown area, to Megaworld, and to SM City.
If you stay too close to the city, there's a smaller chance you can find a house that can accommodate a small garden or even a back yard.

We are moving this Saturday to Binan, Laguna 25 minutes from where we are in Santa Rosa City, Laguna. Older but very, very well kept house. 25,000 pesos. 3 bdr 2 CR/shower. Furnished and the furnitures are amazing. Hand made huge narra wood cabinet for one. Custom assembled in the house .

I like Camella/Savannah Glades than Parc regency/Monticello. Savannah has nice entrance gate, many acacia trees, near from school, wet market, road and Mall/vistamall

The house is nice. I'm not surprised at the lack of vacancies. I believe this is a worldwide phenomenon. The supply demand equation is out of whack. From where I sit in the US and having 18 years of Philippine experience, it looks like a deal at under $600 US dollars. I'm also a Real Estate broker in 2 states so I see the big elephant in the room question which is why would they lower the price? I was looking forward to this episode as I am considering buying a property in Philippines. What city? Too be determined. A universal law of Real Estate in the world is "closer to ocean" equals more expensive. I hope that you get the house and naturally after a few months of renting, something else that fits your life and budget could turn up. Good luck you two.

I'm wary about being close to the ocean. Lived thru Hurricane Sandy in NY, then I'm South Florida where Central Florida just got hit by Hurricane Ian. I've seen houses near the ocean destroyed so do you think the universal law of "close to ocean" is more expensive still applies?

@@denniszenanywhere Don't move to the Philippines... you appear to be a magnet for hurricanes. Kidding aside, check out the jet stream and earth's rotation that produces Coriolis effect; it may explain why northeast and southeast USA are prone to hurricanes versus Malibu in the Pacific Coast.

Oof! House hunting is hard. Not all are listed online. 35k for me is high but considering the space it might be fair but still too pricey. I used to look after a house for airbnb here in Cebu and it was a bit smaller than that house but the owner agreed to rent it at 25k last time. Hope you guys can find the perfect one somewhere if you haven't found it yet. Looking forward to your next video!

Hi. There's a newly vacated apartment for rent in our neighborhood in Road 7 Don Julio Sudivision, Aganan Pavia. It is a 3 bedroom, 2 level apartment. If you would like to see. The apartment was constructed in 2018..it ia across our house. Our community is 15 to 20 mins from the airport and around 5 mins from Robinsons Pavia, GT mall and City Mall. About 20 mins to SM city. Quiet and accessible to public transportations, jeepneys and aircon city buses.

I am so happy I watched this video. I saw those model homes on sale in the gated community. Wow did that turn out to be a ghetto area. I couldn't believe how filthy some of those rentals he walked you through were. Now I understand why some expats like to build in the province. I have seen your other video's and love the modern architecture of Iloilo. Now I'm kind of disappointed. We are hoping to move to the Philippines within the next 5 years. I can only imagine there are some much nicer areas.

Do not get a house that is prone to flooding , you can actually ask the advise of some locals which distric is not flooded during rainy season , I know there has been a lot of improvement on the flooding control measures. Enjoy my city 👍

were you looking for such a large house with 3 bdrms or a 2 bdrm. the rent would be cheaper as a rule. but the house you show is very spacious with a really nice kitchen. good luck on your search. I'll be doing that in a couple years, hopefully, same city.

Yea Bianca and have two studios for working in and then our bedroom. Bianca also streams on Twitch. So the 3 bedrooms is the most convenient as well as the size of the rooms for lights/camera ect

Puerto real, Ledesco in Lapaz, and westwoods subdvision in Jaro is highly recommended for home based they are within the city area.

Search online first i suggest. Then check it after calling. Best place is in Jaro, Molo or Mandurriao. You need to know about floods. I will be in Iloilo maybe i can check

Remember that roof is hot all day and the aircon is going to be expensive need downstairs bedroom and aircon and heat and roosters....
maybe condo all ready with al amenities might be better priced and no roosters! Take your time once committed ... its yours!

Just a warning though, Iloilo does have insurgency problem and a cholera outbreak the city doesn't have a proper septic system they use the river as their septic waste disposal system and drug problem it's well known that it's the drug capital of the Philippines, and had a reputation of very corrupt politicians, it's not a safe place to be. You didn't do your research well. There's reason real estate is too cheap in iloilo.

How can you show a place to rent that looks so rundown and needs a lot of repairs. A common thing in the Philippines where a lot of houses and buildings can use a lot of fresh paints. Fix the darn place and then showcase it for renters.
