Hello, Dani! I’m from Brazil, and I’m 21! I’m about 2 years without my period. I have an eating disorder history, but I also get psychological, nutritional and psychiatric help. My gynecologist is GREAT but also is recommending getting hormonal treatment for my bones and heart protection. I’ve gained about 6kilos, still no period. My stress is higher and higher every day though, mental health problems are screaming I don’t know if I have to go with the hormonal treatment or not. I’m kind of confused, tired, unhappy and everything else. My life isn’t the way I expected and I have really low self esteem Well, thanks for your help always ❤
6months ago i started fasting for 18-20 hours daily and i skipped breakfast and cut carbs like bread, rice, pasta, and any thing with flour . the last time i got my period was in 20 january of 2024, i lost 15 kg and I’m 168cm and 65kg , I’m happy with the way i look ,but i know that i must have my period to be healthy ,so do you think eating breakfast and not fasting can solve my problem without adding the carbs i cut to my dite again ? like okay i will eat good carbs like botatos , but i dont wanna gain any kilos again BTW I’m 17 years old and it’s my first time diting ,also i am having exams soon and i wake up very early and kinda stressed so do you think it’s better to start my recovery after my exams? my last exam is in the 15 of july this year. wish me luck !! and thank you for being here and making videos for us ily
Start now. I started my recovery last year in a quite stressful time at school around three months before my final exams. Even though it was really challenging Im so glad I did it that way, because I didn’t stress about eating as much as before. I got my period back on the first exam of my final exams :). I also would include carbs back to your diet. Cutting out food groups is a stress factor and you should eat them especially if you crave them. Especially because you are so young you should be really careful that your eating habits aren’t disordered and being afraid of foods is a clear sign of that. If eating carbs again stresses you to much, maybe you could start eating regularly right now and start including carbs after your exams. But don’t wait for the perfekt moment to start recovery, it won’t come. You will always find a reason why it’s not the right time. My wake up call was a podcast I listend to in which a girl talked about HA and she said, that she had a pre form of osteoporosis after losing her period for not even a year. That was the moment I realised how dangerous all this is. I wish you all well and good luck for your exams.
Hey girl!! I'm in the exact same position as you, same age and everything + exams!! Just wanted to give you my support and wishing us both the best for recovery :)))
I’m about a week into my all in recovery and I keep finding myself overthinking everything and feeling anxious when it comes to food, can you explain why I’m overthinking so much. I keep feeling the need to watch UA-cam videos about recovery and remember the information said and it just stresses me out. I also have been loosing a-lot of hair in recovery. Why is that?
I think the hair thing is probably just from messed up hormones from your restriction. you are probably just now noticing if I had to guess. THIS IS PROBABLY NOT ACCURATE BUT THATS WHAT HAPPENED TO ME
so I ended up getting my period back :) I ate 2500-3000 calories a day. when I was restricting, I ate 800-1200 calories a day. I went from 162-134 in 4 months. I wasn't were I wanted to be, and I still struggle with thoughts everyday. I'm now 145 and I gained all the weight in 2-3 weeks, as well as my period. I'm still overweight however, and I'm not sure what to do. will restricting SLIGHTLY mess up my hormones again? I'm terrified of going 150 and I don't want to lose my period again from accidentally overeating/over exercising. I want to get down to at least 130. what should I do?

The overthinking is common. It's hard. Take a break from the content and come back in a couple of weeks!

Is it normal for labs to be messed up from HA-elevated liver enzymes, anemia, etc?
Yes absolutely, specifically those things
Thanks so much! Would you be open to considering doing an episode on that kind of thing?
@@ramonasinclair3598 Yes, actually, I would! I will bring my business partner in on this one.
