Dani - you're so fab! Thank you so much for going over the sea-swimming question for me in more detail - I really appreciate it. I was afraid that the extreme temperature part (rather than the movement part) might impede hormone production but it seems like once I have regular bleeds, I should be able to manage the temperature part anyway. Thanks a million :)
I know this is kind of a silly question but I'm trying to recover from restrictive eating + compulsive exercise and it feels like there's a battle in my head somehow. I see a lot of content on HA and a lot of it is focused towards getting pregnant tbh, which is something I as a young woman am personally just not interested in at all. I'm an athlete and I want to keep working on my goals, so my question is: are there really enough reasons to actively try to recover from HA if you're not interested in having children? Thanks a lot!
Excuse me if I respond to you, but, I just wanted to tell you that having your period isn’t just important for having children; a female and woman body has to have the period for functioning correctly, otherwise you will have problems with your hormones and your health, and bones, and other stuff
Is utrogestan (for 10 days) used to heal FHA? that is what my doctor recommended, since I have "dealed" with food/exercise/stress but still no periods back 😢
What do I do if I've got a amenorrhea and a weight that is HIGHER than would be IDEAL for my sport. ie. I compete in a sport where weight really matters (running for me). I've been at a higher weight before and my times were awful and I was sluggish. For sports where weight really affects performance, I feel like there is many of us who feel like they have to make a choice between their athletic career (trying to go from d3 to d1 for me) and their health.
HI! when I stopped breastfeeding I thought my period would come back but it never showed up again... It hasn't arrived for 6 months now. I lost a few kg while breastfeeding but above all I went through a difficult and stressful time. yet I eat! 1800/1900 kcal a day! and my hormones are ok according to medical tests (only LH and prolactin a little low)! why doesn't he come back? what am I doing wrong? sometimes I have very strong pelvic pain, I always hope it's my period or ovulation, but instead nothing...
hypothalamic amenorrhea :) my videos are generally found by people who are looking specifically for hypothalamic amenorrhea content. If they don't know what it is it's typically not for them!!!

I'd actually want to know the numbers - what is your height and weight?

@@Arianna-vz5rn Hey Arianna, apologies that it took so long for me to get to your question! I will be uploading my response to UA-cam on Sunday.
@@DaniSheriff thanks a lot!
