@ShonBay There are a few components to studying Spanish easily . One plan I discovered which successfully combines these is the Fergs Spanish Blueprint (check it out on google) definately the best resource that I've heard of. Look at all the great information .
I want to learn Spanish because I’m going to have a baby girl and my in laws only speak Spanish so I know the basics but I need to know it entirely so I can teach her and she won’t lose that connection with her grandparents and she know her culture

Floridian 407 Immersion! I used to work a full time job in construction. Most of my coworkers spoke broken English. So I had to speak to them in Spanish. Eventually, my Spanish got better and their English too
troww zers thanks! I can write it, read it, and speak it. But the listening part ugh gets to me. I feel so discouraged cause I work around a lot of Latinos and I’m lost when they speak. But when I speak (cause I know the topic obviously) I can keep going but some words I don’t know and I do have complete brain farts
Bro, I understand narcos is a huge reference to learn Spanish for some foreigners but your gonna see many actors in there that in real life they're not native speakers so I recommend you to see : La reina del flow ( more neutral Spanish ) , and pickpockets in Netflix. I'm from Cali but they say Spanish from Bogota is the best spoken in Colombia. I like Spanish from Medellin because the accent but I think Bogota is better for the reason is a hugeeeeeee city..
Present tense, past tense, continuous (1 form), past particle (1 form), "ir a" and "tener que" is what you will use 90% of the time, which is 15 total forms per verb out of the 64ish forms, that's only 20% of the forms being used 90% of the time.
You came in clutch with that college syllabus tip, man. Thank you! I'm in Mexico meeting my future in-laws for the first time. They've already made me a part of the family, and don't care that my Spanish sucks... That only makes me that much more motivated! Seeing your level of fluency in these videos is so moving. My girl and I are fans!
I love this brother's videos. He is proof that Americans are able to learn to speak another language well. We can. The problem is that we don't see the necessity because everyone speaks English. In school, especially if you are Black, you are not encouraged to learn to communicate in another language. The foreign language teachers barely speak the language that they have been employed to teach. One tip to learn to speak another language well is, FIRST, learn to speak your own language well. Many American school children are not taught how English function. If you do not know what a noun is in English, how are you expected to understand what it is in another language.
When I first clicked I was like “I’m sure this is the same as all the other ones I’ve seen” but I’m pleasantly surprised that it’s not! Thank you these are really helpful

Your videos are sooooo awesome, best tips I've had and I've been learning and loving Spanish for over 10 years and I can not speak fluently. smh But I realize I never fully put the effort in, along with not having ANYONE to converse with in Spanish. I began revisiting the language in 2012 when I met my husband. He is Dominican and his parents, siblings and even my step-daughter do not speak English, and this has motivated me so much to really continue learning. I have a good foundation, can communicate ok, and now I have many people to talk to in Spanish that are now family! With the help of tips like these and all the others from your other videos I will be fluent! #claimingit

I have problems remembering all the conjugation especially the past tenses and I'm still not used to thinkings of things that I see in spanish. I have wrote in my diary in Spanish and staring to learn about writing Spanish poetry. I can comprehend better when reading
I guess its because I feel overwhelmed when speaking with others because I don't feel as confident in my Spanish and forget what I want to say because I don't think of my words in Spanish
The best way yo master a new languague is speak with a native speaker so frencuently. If you are english native I'd like to speak with you and help you with your spanish.
here's a few tips for how to learn Spanish Decide exactly why you wish to speak Spanish Try to use Spanish in your everyday life Decide which method works for you best. (I read about these and more on Fergs Spanish Blueprint website )

You will learn to not do that in time. We all start out that way, but in reality, our Spanish format and English format can look completely different sometimes. It's all a part of the process.

I have long term goals with my Spanish learning. The short term goals are the ones I have trouble setting b/c there is so much to learn. Do you have any ideas for breaking down the long term goals to say weekly or monthly ones?

I sure do have a tip that coul help you. I actually mentioned them in the video. If you find a syllabus onlline, some of them will have day to day plans. find one of those and follow it. Otherwise. the best way would be to follow the work book. If you don't have a grammar workbook, I highly recommend getting one. If you do get one, make sure to get one that has listening activities.

I learned Spanish through "chatting". Hindi too! Since I also speak French, getting into the Spanish language was not very difficult.
I was born no able to speak spanish cause my dad didn’t allow it. But now that i just live with my Mexican mom im trying to learn so i hope this helps a bit 😁
How many verbs do you recommend learning the conjugations for for 1 tense(lets say present tense) before moving on to the next(lets say past)?
Gravity™ there isn't a specific number that you need to learn but rather you need to be able to successfully use them at any given time. If you don't have it down almost 100% before moving on, you can confuse yourself. Everyone has to gauge that for themselves.
Gravity™ I would say that you definitely need to have the irregulars down because those will come in handy later down the line
Great video! Thanks for the tips. I am definitely having trouble learning Spanish. I took it in high school and I know some basics. My barrier is the verb tenses and memorizing them. And actually going past saying the basic sentences in spanish like quiero aprender español or me gusta bailar.... lol, it's sometimes feels redundant. I understand Spanish more than I can speak which doesn't help when you want to have full conversations. I forget and get nervous. What is the best advice to help with these barriers? Vocabulary and going pass basic sentences.
YOu really just have to study something, and after you study it, apply it as much as you can. The only way to really get better is to converse with others. Make it a daily thing. It's a "use it or lose it situation"
I work in costumer service and want to learn how to communicate better and I’m guessing my long term goal would be able to talk fluently and be more helpful with the Hispanic community so they can shop comfortably... But I’m not sure what to put as my short term goal like I tried to work only on numbers, prices and basic sentences
My father is from Cuba. He learned English (fluent) and he's hard on me to learn Spanish fluently. I can understand somethings of what he says but I answer in English He makes me so stressed and nervous he corrects me loud in public of course it's considered a disgrace not to know your parents language. (I got adopted He was locked up and absent from my life my mother was not there as well.) So yeh I'm embarrassed but I want to learn to be fluent and communicate with his side of the family and visit them in Cuba.
Buen hecho Ricky!!

This helped me so much man
..... Thanks a lot.... Keep doing what you're doing!!!
@@kelviannaepperson3677 i feel exactly the same. I can easily remember my vocab though but conjugating and grammar is hard
@@crazymadstriker766 yeah vocab is easier for me too
The best way yo master a new languague is speak with a native speaker so frencuently. If you are english native I'd like to speak with you and help you with your spanish.
@@elvinceledonio1917 that's nice thanks

I love your content, bro! I began my youtube channel about Spanish communication and you have inspired me.
That is awesome! I will check out your channel! Thanks for checking out mine!
dope ideas, just downloaded some workbooks off of libgen :) thanks a lot!
here's a few tips for how to learn Spanish
Decide exactly why you wish to speak Spanish
Try to use Spanish in your everyday life
Decide which method works for you best.
(I read about these and more on Fergs Spanish Blueprint website )
When I read basic sentences that are in spanish my brain automatically translate it into English, I will get there hopefully. Thx for the tips tho, new subscriber!! :) 😊☁❤
You will learn to not do that in time. We all start out that way, but in reality, our Spanish format and English format can look completely different sometimes. It's all a part of the process.
Same my mind at times can’t help translating things in English.
It made me laugh but I’ve seriously had that thought multiple times, the thought of “losing my English” 😂 thanks for the encouragement bro and helpful words of letting me know I’m not going to lose my English
Lol así es a veces.
Rickie Walls Lol
What’s more difficult is it’s not just Spanish you need to know but slang. It’s the street I would conversation with.
Came here during the quarantine to learn a new language 👍👍
Ik spanish when i first got to the united states lol i had to learn english it wasnt that bad i actually learned english very fast :D now ik english and spanish♡ i love spanish and english :)
Gracias por el consejo mi amigo
This is a great video with vital tips.
OMG!!!!!
If you do get one, make sure to get one that has listening activities.

mi meta es , saber mucha en espanlo. en 2anos ....espero... sorry if i missed up still learning...lol
great video.
These tips are great. Subscribed!
Thank you : )
I learned Spanish through "chatting". Hindi too! Since I also speak French, getting into the Spanish language was not very difficult.
Thank you
I was born no able to speak spanish cause my dad didn’t allow it. But now that i just live with my Mexican mom im trying to learn so i hope this helps a bit 😁
Lol that was a bit sick of your dad tbh
Your dad is kinda mean
Mal educado
Good content thanks for the tip!
buenas ideas mano!
Happy New year bro
Excellent video
Gracias! Happy New Year.
Sasha, you can talk to me ( I'm from Spain) if you want to practice your speaking.
Have you made a video about not being afraid to speak to natives yet? I feel like you might have. Great video!
Love it! I see the books you've mentioned. If you had to pick just one book to recommend, which one would it be? I'd like to get it. Thank you.
Do you think vocabulary flash cards help
Of course. I mentioned those briefly towards the end of the video. Those and/or post-it notes are helpful.
Thank you man!
Thank hou for sharing.
can you provide a syllabus. There are a lot of them and i am confused which one to choose
