My dad was not a good dad, and we left him as soon as we could. But boy did he know good music. That I'm listening to this great concert by Earl Klugh thirty years after my father playing his CD at home shows he had one very very great legacy. Thank you dad for introducing me to so many great artists.

I was at the show at Keystone Korner in San Franciso in like '73 when George Benson introduced a very young Earl Klugh to the crowd... it was an amazing night and I'll never forget being in the 2nd row tables and being stunned!

Earl Klugh is one of my mentors whom i met in detroit in 1974' at Baker's Keyboard Lounge,we became friends and stayed in touch for a couple years and Nelson Rangell and i were on a flight together from a music convention in nice,france to chicago which was his stop,i was on to dayton,ohio from there,loved meeting and talking with them both,Emmett North Jr.
While we all agree that Earl Klugh's music and these musicians are extraordinary, let's not forget the Audio Quality typical of all the Java Jazz Festival videos. Allowing for a clean undistorted sound of all instruments when heard at home, and even better with your headphones on! Thanks to @EarlKlugh, @JavaJazzFest and @PeterGontha !

I have never had the chance to watch Earl on live. Sincerely, It has been a quite an experience for me as I have been listening Earl’s music for many years ago. I honestly thought that such wonderful music was impossible to be performed on live because its perfection, but I was totally wrong; It is even better!

I've seen Earl and his crew for the last 8yrs at his sponsored Weekend of Jazz in Colorado Springs at the Broadmoor. My wife and I have had dinner with him, drunk coffee with him, etc. He's just a very, very, nice guy. So are his band members. I recommend picking up there albums when u see them...you won't be disappointed!

Earl Klugh, is an inspiration for my work, since I've heard his melodic solos full of passion for music, he has changed mine, for me, one of the greatest influencers of smooth jazz, a soft jazz, jazz and other musical influences.
Another magical performance by the one and only Earl Klugh. Still have fond memories of the free concert he gave at the Warner Theater in Washington, DC around 2007. In an interview he noted how the acoustic/electric guitar made his playing extended concerts so much easier. Mainly due to the fact that he no longer needed to work as hard to make his music heard.

If you have also been an architects rep for Jakarta, you will see that with a slam dunk design no one jumps up and down, but as they keep calling you for each new design you have an idea that you are coming across well!
i think javajazz is one of the main reasons who made jazz getting more popular in indonesia, especially pioneering many jazz-themed concert around the country for the last decade, and then create a generation of jazz-based artist

The wife and I hung out with Earl after a "One World Theatre" performance in Austin. After over 20 years of travel in the military listening to him from Album to MP3, I never could have imagined this guy was such a very nice person. I told him about one of my most memorable experiences. It was traveling across the English Channel by ferry listening to "Heart String". We consider him a friend. He signed my keep sake with a heart felt, "Thanks for taking me with you." Wow!

Earl Klugh is simply brilliant. I've been a fan and he's been a mentor to me since way back. I listened to this whole concert from 2013 and I discerned one particular tune that Earl really loves that he recorded from his LP, "Heartstrings." He loves "Heartstrings" I do too. This song, as did "Crazy For You," and "Magic in Your Eyes," captured my ear when I first heard it. I listened to it over and over again back in 1985 while in advanced training with the Air Force. "If I had a Klugh" is the next song I'm going to record with a bit of a medley from a few of Klugh's tunes over the years.. This guy has brought me so much joy. Thank you Sir! Brian Jett

Earl Klugh is simply brilliant. I've been a fan and he's been a mentor to me since way back. I listened to this whole concert from 2013 and I discerned one particular tune that Earl really loves that he recorded from his LP, "Heartstrings." He loves "Heartstrings" I do too. This song, as did "Crazy For You," and "Magic in Your Eyes," captured my ear when I first heard it. I listened to it over and over again back in 1985 while in advanced training with the Air Force. "If I had a Klugh" is the next song I'm going to record with a bit of a medley from a few of Klugh's tunes over the years.. This guy has brought me so much joy. Thank you Sir! Brian Jett

I remember walking into A&A Records in Calgary one sunny afternoon some 20 years ago and hearing Earl Klugh for the first time. That is all it took to hook me on Smooth Jazz and his iconic sounds. Thank you so very much Mr. Klugh.

Of all the years I've been listening to Earl Klughs music I've never seen him play in concert until I've discovered him live on UA-cam and now I'm going back through his collection of music with his real live performances thank to UA-cam I can now re-visit all my favourite music of my generation,I'm now into UA-cam vault's of Alladdin's cave.😊
