The music that played in the Hoven caves/underground part had big Christmas movie energy, loved it.
Imagine how this planet would have been if Drek never touched it. It could have been paradise.
So true. I think about that with so many of these planets... Like I would've loved to see Eudora if it wasn't being logged, or any of the various warzones throughout the game!

Yeah, I really love how muted the music for Orxon sounds it really makes the atmosphere feel that much more choking.

Hey, around 7:40 you're in the section of Hoven with the pressure plates that toggle the laser gates. If you don't know, the laser gates don't have collision - you can walk right through them. You can avoid doing the ice platforming to toggle the switches in time lol.

Hey thanks! Glad you're liking it. And man that question gets harder every time I think about it lol. I think overall, my favorite is Going Commando. It's often tied with UYA, Deadlocked, and Rift Apart though. Into the Nexus probably would've been my favorite if it wasn't so short!
GC just improved upon the first game in like every way, while solidifying what the series would be like for years to come. I've also just got such nostalgia for it. What's your favorite?
@@LoganFreunddefinitely the first game. I love the environments so much. I can admit going commando may be an objectively better game, but the first is just my absolute favorite.
Weirdly, this game and Tak Power of the JuJu's music always kinda mystified me as a kid. I never got far in either but the soundtrack left a lasting impact.
Huh, that's a game I had a similar experience with as a kid!! I totally forget what the music in the Tak series is like though. I'm gonna have to go check it out again!

In R&C 3, the Neferious Ship (Leviathan by name) level has a remix of this Orxon theme in it. Or at least a few samples from it.
I hope Ratchet has a shower in his ship to wash the thick layer of pollution off his fur.
I like to always exterminate all the creatures on Orxon. I tried sneaking past them, but it wasn't nearly as fun.
Funnily enough, the turret sections in R&C1 are some of my favorites because of how generous the auto-aim is.

Something that's very hard to notice about Hoven in the non-stereo version is that it has a choir in it.
Whoa you're right!! Checking out the stereo version now, and it's giving me even more to love about this track. What a cool amalgamation of styles and sounds
