Seeing social phenomena in various animals is so cool. You can see how the ducklings react when one makes it, and how they start trying so much harder.
At first I was like, "why wouldn't you try to help them?" But in the end, I think it was good to let them figure it out themselves. Sometimes helping isn't really helping!
@@ashfloranna No she wouldn't. It would actually be extremely difficult (if not impossible) for a duck to abandon a baby, because ducklings will follow their mothers everywhere, no matter what. It's not like with a songbird where the parents could just stop coming back to the nest. It's still mostly a myth with songbirds too though, most birds barely have any sense of smell. I volunteered at an animal rescue that mainly took birds, and there was a consistent problem with people just leaving baby birds on the ground to die because they incorrectly thought that if they put them back in the nest, the parents would abandon them.

Why would the mother leave him?
@@Ailwuful idk its just cute
I mean, sure, some animals do that, but that wouldn't be normal for ducks. Most animals care for their children.
@@Ailwuful ok i get it, i just thought its cute and pretty so i wrote that comment
Not all. The mother duck was waiting for it which is natural mother instinct. The ducklings just followed the mother. They don't separate themselves from their mother hence they had to wait.
Thank you for the video. It helps after a crappy day.
That one duckling who made it at the beginning is the anime protagonist. The others are the rivals who arrive just after the main character does.
The first one to get up all the way is Sasuke and the last one is Naruto at the beginning of the manga/anime.
Imagine if its an isekai
Or side character
Amine? Been working on bio lately?
For a classic shonen the first one'd be the rival and the last one the protagonist, since this are just the very first episodes.
Nature at its finest, even stairs are a test of survival
I cheered when the last one made it! ^_^
I know right 😊
Kiam Kweli :)
That's how to make babies strong, confident, and resilient from the beginning.
It's so sweet how the mom is just patiently waiting for them.
I'm not sure how patient she was, really. I definitely got an "I don't have all day!" vibe.
I got really emotionally invested in this
Just think about it. They jumped a stair DOUBLE their height. While we can't even imagine to jump anything double _our_ height. Hats off to you, ducklings 🎩🎩🦆🦆🦆
When you realize that they will learn how to fly too...
@@CalmNoises u know that they are ducks right?
@@j-fun4776 Yes, they aren't chickens.

Thank you for not interfering with Nature.
This is ..like .. life. Sometimes few are exceptional.. but most of us just have to keep trying and trying till we get it
Soo very true in many ways. I like the perspective!
Your pictures says that you are trying to do bad things, so please stop trying.
don1559 lol man
Your comment really inspired me. Lamest comment ever, I know, but it's true. Thanks man
the one which got up first might have been the first one to hatch. But this did remind me of a story in grade 3 of a king that ran and hid in a cave to see a spider attempting to get to the top of a cave. he saw after many tries the spider succeeded, and the king went back and fought and won the battle
Then they waddled away, waddle waddle.

A mother always waits... someone who has complete patience... whether she's human or any kind of animal.. mother always thinks of her kid's comfort than hers...she's the visible God in each soul's life🥰🥰🥰
Ehh actually there are a lot of animal where the mother give an actual fuck about it's siblings or even straight up yum them.
I’m touched by that the mother don’t forget all of her babies.
So cute 🙂
Because that's a mother. Ain't no mom forgetting her own baby wtf
Ducks have more humanity than liberal women
Its a mother lmao its universal they all like that
Thank you for letting nature work itself out instead of immediately intervening. It all turned out for the best. :)
The ducklings are like me trying to advance in my employment.
This exercise strengthened these ducklings.
Notice how the mother knew exactly how many there were as she didn't bother checking to see if any were left
Did anyone else get weirdly emotionally invested in seeing all the ducks get up those steps? 🥺
If you are a human being it is impossible not to get emotionally invested
of course.

I am so happy how the duck mother waits until the last child rises
Aww, I love this. did anyone else's heart melt watching this?
This is great. Mama duck wait for every single one of them, such love!
Those ducklings are so dumb. They could've press x twice to double jump.

@@aceberjames8078 well that escalated quickly
Seeing social phenomena in various animals is so cool. You can see how the ducklings react when one makes it, and how they start trying so much harder.
People: "She's preparing them to survive"
Momma duck: "haha"
At first I was like, "why wouldn't you try to help them?" But in the end, I think it was good to let them figure it out themselves. Sometimes helping isn't really helping!
“Sometimes helping isn’t really helping.” Well said.
Also if the were to touch the ducklings the mother would abandon them
@@ashfloranna No she wouldn't.
Nature exists for billions if years. It knows what its doing
@@TSGPhilipp Concrete haven't existed billions of years though.
That should be changed into a ramp, ya know, to be more accessible to everyone and not animals.
Props for not helping, the ducklings have to learn on their own in order to survive
Trueeee absolutelyyyy
Yeah, sure, because climbing human steps is necessary for a duck survival...
@@Slamazzar it absolutely is
@@Slamazzar It is now, now that humans have destroyed almost all nature.
@Pasta Commandeer That's what I mean: ducks start to fly after 2 months, so it doesn't matter if they learn climbing stairs whilr being tiny. Plus, someone is trying to sell non-sense that the mother will reject ducklings handled by humans: you can find a footage of firemen saving ducklings from a drain while the mother patiently waits.
