I am 80 and used to read the Mother West Wind stories as a child. I can see how this scene could inspire a writer 's imagination. All these little woodland creatures had names like Reddie Fox and Jimmy Skunk. This video takes me back to those days. Thanks for the memories.
Wow, “Mother West Wind” just blasted me back to my childhood, I could feel it in my chest! I can see the little library in New York City where we would get the books back in the early 60s. Haven’t thought of those books in decades. Thank you!
I have the book The Adventures of Reddy Fox , by Thornton W. Burgess. Printed 1918. It was on a bookshelf in my house growing up and I always loved the story. I’m glad I have it still :)
They don't directly compete for food and "resources" ....although minks might prey on baby muskrats and beavers if given a chance. Only the coyotes mess with the otters, tho......
Thank you so much for sharing this footage, we have a pair of otters that come through and stay for about one or two days, they move so fast we don't get to see them up close. We have a gators, osprey, many kinds of ducks, raccoons, possums, huge sandhill cranes, lizards, turtles, owls that defy nature, woodpeckers, great blue herons, and more. We love them all and don't thank God enough for their natural beauty. The video is delightful
Sounds like my place I own in Ocala National Forest. All night and day hear owls Sand hills see and hear Osprey gators black bears snakes lizards and a million others animals.
Beavers are useful but also a menace. We have a beaver dam close to our house and the water level has risen 2 metres. We are on the lookout to kill the beavers and take apart the dam and the nest. The beavers are changing the ecosystem in a place where they shouldn't. Besides... this beaver is a foreign species brought into the country in the 70s without knowing it isn't a native species. They thought pretty much all beavers were the same..
@@johanna_na No, human and all of their infrastructure change the ecosystem not the animals, you're living in place where animals live from millions years ago.
Otters, Beavers, Wolfs, Deer, Racoons, Mallard Ducks, Geese, Wood Ducks, crows, weasels, swans, frogs, teal ducks, shovel ducks, a fish.... Crazy how many different things crossed your camera.
The perfect camera set up. I could watch this video for hours!! Didn’t realize beavers made such a crazy sound! The otters playing was great! Love that you caught some trout and catfish!
Thank you for your application over a long time period. We are able to see the rich variety of nature, the high and lows, the dangers like thin ice involved for each species and the methods of survival for the beavers and their work ethic. You’ve certainly left your mark on a lot of people.
Wonderful video! Thank you so much for compiling it and sharing. The assortment of animals was wonderful and the sounds gave such a richness to the passing seasons - blackbirds, wind, water, peepers, rain, wood frogs, bull frogs, geese, mammals communicating, we are so lucky to be on such and amazing planet. Thank you again!
Just what i needed to see on a Jan night. The inevitable passing of the seasons...spring will follow winter; it always does. But each season is fascinating in its own special way. Thank you
Simply stunning array of glorious fellows🫠the year round pov was lovely to watch too. I live in Australia in a bushy area of the Central Coast NSW, and have a plethora of beautiful visitors also, eastern water dragons, a dear swamp wallaby and her Joey, beautiful snakes, brush turkeys, whip birds, rainbow lorikeets, and a lot more besides. Hope you have a wonderful Yule, all the best. Susan@M.Lehane.👋🏻☮️🇦🇺
@michaellehane4800:Australia certainly has some cool critters. 1st year of lock down garbage I followed Megabattie out of your neck of the world. LOVED the Flying Foxes! Tee in S.W. Usa
Thank your for letting us hear those pure nature sounds❤ It was so interesting seeing this same place at different seasons, time and weather conditions:)
I enjoyed watching that so much. Did you ad sound effects or ass that the sound they really made. The colors were so clear and beautiful. Especially all the beautiful colors of the mallards. I loved when the otters crossed the iced over lake and that walk walk slide scene Not sure what animals (otters beavers?) almost made it an x-rated video. This should win an award. Beautiful and tells a story. Thank you❤❤❤
GREAT and AMAZING.........I was expecting to see the Loch Ness monster at any second !!!!! HA........ Seriously, this was VERY good and entertaining. THANK YOU
In this video I saw Deer Coyotes Black Bears Raccoons Beavers Otters Muskrats Minks Trumpeter Swan Canada Geese Mallard Wood Duck Blue Winged-Teal Northern Shoveler Ring-necked Duck Hooded Grebe Pied-billed Grebe Crows Turtles and Catfish. What an amazing diversity of animals

For real! 🤗🤗
Totally agree, made me giggle.
Yea that was cool to see how playful they are. You can see them thinking such an awesome animal.
Fantastic video. We need more of this kind of thing on UA-cam.
If you look for it ,you will find it it's out there
I applaud your ability to hold the camera still for a year
Funniest thing I read all day
Good one ! 🤣
Let’s not exaggerate. At 6:25 you can no longer see the far bank.
@@mike4523 Give him a break. You'd get tired too. This is probably like 3 months in!
His feet must have gotten really puckered.

And the Merry Little Breezes. Do you remember how it was that Granny and Reddy Fox lived like poor people? Kind of slapdash.

I am 78 and I grew up on those books. So wonderful and imaginative.❣️
I grew up with these books as well, and I'm 55! Also, all of "The Adventures of..." books.
The sound of water brings me such peace, and combined with the animals and birds, it is peace and joy. Thank you!
This is better than any Hollywood movie. I could watch them all day. Greatfootage. Wonderful to see such a good diversity of animals.
... are you a cat? lol
@@MmmHuggles that was funny. 😀
Wow - muskrat , mink , otter and beaver all in the same small body of water...THAT was really cool...thanks for sharing this !!
They don't directly compete for food and "resources" ....although minks might prey on baby muskrats and beavers if given a chance. Only the coyotes mess with the otters, tho......
Yay! I wondered if that was a muskrat! Go me!
I was also trying to figure out what swam or slithered over to bother the catfish at about 8:55. 👀
You left out raccoon and deer.
The diversity of wildlife at this one location is astounding! I was most surprised the cam captured fish at night!
Thank you for the sights and sounds of nature and the absence of instrumental soundtrack. Beautiful.
I absolutely love 💕 this, no narrator, no music, just the sounds of nature.
Such a diverse and rich ecosystem! Thanks for sharing

It is amazing to see what wildlife is passing by the same spot day in and day out.
Great job. !!!
Marshes are the best place to be, in my opinion! Thanks for the upload. Wonderful
Thank you, from U.K. It's a delight to see some of the wildlife we share but mostly the ones we don't have here.
And this is a biodiverse habitat thanks to the beavers' hard work. Thanks for the lovely images.
Thank you. I'm not sure many people know that.
@@Arthur-r7z it is very good, if not many people know that
