If you are talking about the opening shot I am just outside the border of the park. My drone shows the boundries and no fly zones so I made sure that I did not cross the border. I was able toget some really got shots looking into the Two Medicine area. Now if you are are refering to the on trail shots I use an 18 foot aluminum pole cleaning extension pole with a gimble on the top with my camera. It looksjust like a drone. If you look closely in some of the shots you will see me carrying it.
Siyeh Pass Loop...looks really very beautiful...and worth a visit.... The hiking trails are quite friendly....and it's one of the best hikes in Glacier National Park....
It was certainly an amazing hike and I am glad that we got to do it together. Maybe one day we can make the hike over to Sexton Glacier. The waterfalls coming off the glacier had to be really large. The beauty of Glacier National Park draws me closer to the Lord.
Thank you for the encouraging words. We try to capture the beauty as much as we can especially for those who are unable to do that kind of hike, however, you can never really capture the true experience. This is one of the most beautiful hikes that I have done. It offers the full range of Glacier from forest, streams, to mountain lakes , to incredible views of Sunrift Gorge. We only wish that we had started earlier so we could have made our way over to Sexton Glacier. I hope that you have a perfect day on this truly wonderful hike. One thing when coming down the Sundrift Gorge side keep your eyes open for bears.
I am glad that one of the commenters asked if you were flying a drone in the park. I am also glad to hear that you were apparently using a long pole. Nice video.
Yeah, I use a 4 foot long aluminum ploe that extends up to 12 feet. When carring it high it puts it at about 16 feet off the ground. If i am using the wide angel on my camera it makes is look even higher. You will actually see me carring it in some of the shots. I use a DJI ginmble which fits perfectly into the open end of the pole. Thanks for the nice comments.
Ok , I stayed back to video because he was talking the whole time. So he went ahead with my son and was talking his ear off, so when he stopped to talk to a couple coming down the trail he just kept going. He was hiking at a 2.7 mph rate to try and put some distance between them. The man could hike as they both kept that rate up to the pass. He was a super nice guy, but my son really just wanted some solitude that day. I found it all pretty funny. We continued on and he went back down to Siyeh bend.
If you are referring to the opening shot I was just outside the border of the park. My drone shows the no fly zones and park boundery. I was able to get some really good shots in the Two Medicine area from the main road. If you are referring to the on trail shots I use an 18 foot aluminum pool cleaning extension pole with a gimble mounted on top with my camera. It looks just like a drone, but it is not. If you look closely you will see me carrying it in some of the clips.
@@boomersoutdoors8898 ....I'll give you the benefit of the doubt (did see the pole) but it sure looks like a drone shot at the 4:00 to 4:10 mark and again at the 5:00 minute mark. They appear to be pretty high up for an 18' pole, even when carried at 8 feet high with a raised arm. Cool video tho nonetheless.
@ToddRightsell by the time I hold it over my head it is up about 20 feet and if you put it on wide angle. Then let them get out in front of you and that makes it look like it is a lot higher. It is actually an optical illusion.
This is a must do hike while in Glacier! So so good!!!

Thanks for commenting!!! We totally agree!!
This is a great video. I did this hike in 2019 and was completely exhausted when I finished.
I did Siyeh Pass last month. It was amazing. 👍
Out of all the hikes I've done in Glacier, this was by far my favorite.

I am so drunk with this magnificent!
Thank you for the compliment and encouragement !
You certainly captured the beauty of this hike. I’m hoping to do this in a couple months.

Great shots! I missed out on Siyeh Pass but got to see it through your eyes. I hope the cowbell guy was as entertaining to you as he was to me!

Hi
Well hello
You do realize that use of drones in the parks is prohibited right?

once you get there?.........keep climbing.
Mahtapi Peak is an easy scramble. it's another 1800' vertical but well worth the time and view
We will have to make that climb when we go back.
