I don't know what's cooler; the fact that it's Tracy, and not Bond who's doing the badass driving, or that Tracy seems to be having fun, especially when they get on the racetrack.
Pure majesty! One of the great tragedies of the Bond series is the loss of Peter Hunt as director. His vision for the following film would have been quite interesting with a continuation of this story, as I understand it. This stock car rally chase is one of the best in the series. I love how the Mercedes struggles to keep up with the Cougar on the snow-covered Swiss roads, with it bouncing off the walls of snow created by plowing, and then spins out at the curve and off the roadway briefly. Neither car would be on my list of vehicles for Winter mountain road use, though I would infer from the surefootedness of the Cougar that Tracy was a highly skilled and superior driver compared to the Spectre goons as she out maneuvers them and "didn't even stop for the prize"..
hell, she WAS the prize, but yeah its interesting how she gets the Cougar to do far better than the Mercedes--and passes the race cars running studded tires while doing it.
One of my favorite car chases in the whole series, John Barry’s score is so great. RIP Dame Diana Rigg, we have all the time in the world. So sad to see you for the last time in Edgar Wright’s Last Night in Soho.
I went to see OHMSS in 1974, second or third run by then, and so many people had tears in their eyes at the end. Me2. Then we did a revival in San Francisco in 2014 to a packed house. Had a DBS and Cougar in front of the theatre. Not a dry eye in the place at the end. THAT is a powerful film and performance. I loved Mrs Peel!
I might have to say this but Dame Diana Rigg… she is absolutely stunning in this film and she gets the title for stunning more than any other Bond girl if you ask me. She was amazing.

She was amazing! She was behind the wheel, and she was the boss. Feminists today could learn a lot from her. She was very strong and liberated. She created her world. And it was as exciting as it gets.
Having the money of the father it made things a bit easier. But yes she was amazing because many women even having it all, they don't make the best of it.
Agreed and it should have been a continuation of the plot in this but with revenge being the sole aim, would have been a perfect fit for the gritty seventies asthetic that other films had rather than the bad attempt at comedy that we got.
@@nigelgreenwood9010 I agree he was bad, it would just have made more sense to me if George Lazenby returned to DAF and have Tracey killed in the opening sequence of the film and end OHMSS with Bond and Tracey driving off.
No entiendo por qué la gente desprecia a Lazenby, honestamente lo hizo muy bien, tanto que si estuviera en "DAF" la película no sería tan aburrida, ya que el Regreso de Connery fue exagerado como si lo hubiera hecho. estado sintiendo "Forzado o forzado a haber filmado DAF" and Lazenby's gunbarrel in my opinion has been one of the best

Diana Rigg nailed it. Her performance was astounding.
