I agree. I never been with this boss chick craze. It turns women into men, meaning that they act, walk, and talk like guys. It’s not feminine at all and they feel entitled to beat or run over everyone who crosses their path. Some of them will do anything to make money and to say they are a boss. What happened to women being loving and caring about others? In bodycam videos it constantly amazes me how people who are already dealing with the cops seem determined to make things worse for themselves. Why get arrested and rack up charges when you didn't need to? And if you're busted for something like a DUI or shoplifting, where there's almost always very clear objective evidence you've committed a crime, just get arrested with some dignity for crying out loud.
I'm Homeless since my rent went up $400. And I still not even visiting anyone in jail.

Honestly I don't understand why the FBI had to step in. The federal assistant district attorney in this report said the Feds were only able to get involved because she stole enough homes to make it a federal crime. Where the hell were the city, county, and state authorities? They should have seen this before _30_ homes were stolen.
These "non profit" businesses are often dishonest, they can pay themselves high salaries while the business pays no taxes. Really just a scam in many cases yet are treated as virtuous.
I’m from Detroit And I was in that program it was a great help to me in my time of struggle. Sad to see greedy and immoral people tarnish the name of program that helped so many! 😢
Unfortunately it may be worse than that. Depending on what the court decides the organization itself (and not her personally) may be be responsible for providing financial restitution to the people whose homes were stolen. She may have basically run it out of business.
I'm glad it was able to help you though so I hope another group will step in and fill the possible void oeft behind. Hell, I hope more similar groups pop up to help out the people of Detroit. I'm from the Lansing area and I want to see Detroit become a major prosperous city once again.

I sure wish there was a program like that a year ago when I lost my home and believe it or not, had never missed a payment nor been late on any payments the 8 years I was there. I’m a disabled Desert Storm Vet and it’s a tough pill to swallow to see that everyone from the sheriff’s office to the attorneys snd courts are all corrupt and stole my home from me while I was having bad medical issues and had just had emergency surgery and was out of energy to fight it all. I not only lost my home but nearly every possession I worked my entire life for cause I was not in a position to be able to move any of it and I had to walk away from it all and now live in an old greyhound bus and had no heat nor running water at all this past winter. The worst part of it all is that I walked away from over $250k in accumulated equity from appreciation and improvements I had made in those 8 years.
I’m a veteran that could get no help anywhere yet they can give these illegals stacks of cash and other benefits to come here and break our laws the second they step over the border!!! I’m pissed beyond belief!!!!
I heard of this at work today, i cant go into to much of whats going on . Between the redline lending and making fraudulent documents to get ahold of deeds that our low income residents worked hard to obtain this mess had me busy since this morning .

I can't give a definite answer to that question due to the nature of the crime , hopefully something amicable can be reached and agreed upon . And because my job is mostly internal investigations , I personally can not speak on any underlying facts of what's happening with this ongoing investigation .

I remember being in Clubhouse rooms, that talked about this tactic for investors. I was a new realtor and looking to learn about how real estate operated. It felt weird and off listening to how it worked. From my understanding you would have act as a buyer or have an initial investor, but then you had so many days to find an investor (group of investors) to purchase it, who in turn did something else.
The goal was to seek out desperate sellers, then find buyers.
It appeared very glamorous and appealing to be able to get money back that you yourself did not have to put up any of your own money. So glad I didn’t get sucked into that.

...if you're truly interested in the information. A quick Internet search and you could have the numbers from the federal government's decades long study which used comparable income, credit worthiness (including scores), loan amounts, occupation and education as well family size (quite detailed).
"IF" you're truly interested in "knowing" as opposed to "assuming".

They deny you based on your financial history, I don’t believe they are refusing business because of race. People need to be honest about their financial history, for example my in laws guaranteed our first mortgage.

It’s mathematically impossible for Detroit unions to have that many so called whites working on any job. When so called whites haven’t stayed in Detroit in high numbers since the early eighties. So if the numbers are even 60 percent so-called blacks there now. Then that means there is a problem with mortgage discrimination. Cut the bs. Do you think they would say there’s a problem if all things wasn’t equal. They’re looking at the totality of all the factors and then coming to a conclusion. How can all these blacks who are on equal footing with whites be denied……. Obviously some persons or entities are working in tandem like the unions to keep so called blacks out.again cut the bs.
I was a Detroit realtor for several decades. I don't know what you mean by being honest. Are you saying that most AA ppl dont pay their bills & then try to get a mortgage? First of all you can't hide anything & applicants know what's expected.The claim of mortgage discrimination is the result of investigation not myth. Mortgage and appraisal discrimination is unfortunately real. And, I'm happy you haven't experienced it but believe others have. I have a longtime white friend that works in the mortgage field who first told me told me about it. Its economically harmful and unfair to ppl & the communities and needs to be stopped.
I’m from Detroit and moved about 10 years ago now but hell the homes aren’t worth anything, or at-least most aren’t. As African Americans I feel like sometimes we go into applying not even ready, or even knowing the process so what do we expect. Denial should not be a surprise. Also there’s so much corruption there I have seen.
While I'm not denying that mortgage discrimination is a thing, statistics like the one given in that news report are incomplete. We need to be given the credit worthiness of each buyer along with their race because to me mortgage discrimination is when a white borrower is approved when an equally qualified black borrower is denied. Given that in general black people tend to be less well off than white people that tells me right off the bat that they may find it difficult to secure some home loans.

I was an A paper purchase money loan officer for 13 years. The person or persons don’t know what race anyone is. The difference is their financial qualifications. The underwriter has known idea who is applying😮
