For years, Detroit has been considered one of the most dangerous cities in the USA - and especially infamous is Seven Mile Road. This area is so tough that even the police only dare tread during the day. Ruled by the Seven Mile Bloods. One of the most notorious gangs in the city. Drug dealers, hustlers, killers, and thieves - prepared to do whatever it takes to defend their territory. For over ten years gang leader Money controls the drug trade with an iron fist. A bloody territorial war keeps the gang in turmoil. To keep their rivals in check, boss Money needs a steady flow of new weapons. Only with the requisite firepower can they continue to dominate their territory and the other gangs - because the touch-paper might light at any moment. The violent crime rate in Detroit is five times higher than in the rest of the country. In 2018, over thirteen thousand crimes were reported, many more occurred. Seven Mile in particular is the front line for the bloody territorial battles that brutally define this no-go zone. For the police, every assignment is a risk, which is why bounty hunters are often used to go after criminals. A special unit of bounty hunters prepares for their next assignment on the outskirts of downtown. Tommy Depung leads the unit. So far, he’s arrested over 2500 criminals. Together with his team, they´re following a hot tip about a wanted drug and weapons dealer, and it’s taking them straight into the no-go zone… ua-cam.com/video/VR7r9bBRVi0/v-deo.html More No-Go Zones - World’s Toughest Places - South Africa: ua-cam.com/video/SA3ytkfCztM/v-deo.html Available Worldwide except Germany, Spain, and Norway #freedocumentary

I have also lived and worked as a nurse in some of the worst areas of California and I would say the same, I was treated with respect and people were nice to me. There were times while filling gas at night or getting breakfast early morning where I felt danger, but for the most part the people in the city were nice 🤷♀️
As a person who was born and raised in Detroit. It is dangerous but I walked these streets many years. I was a homeless drug addict and stayed in abandoned houses all up and down 7 mile. If you're weak you'll get eaten. I'm clean for 6 years now and don't go that way anymore. Can't believe I survived it.
As a black man I’m ashamed of these cities and my own brothers and sisters. Black on Black violence is the biggest killer in this country amongst young African woman and men but it’s looked past as something that’s not an issue but if Black Lives Matter than we need to prove that to everyone else by helping each other out first
I disagree, You can’t help anyone but yourself! Thats is the problem with the world. Everyone wants help but nobody wants to help themselves. Its not my fault the system is corrupt...Doesn’t mean to take advantage of cause the ones who need the most wont have access to it. I think anyone who can’t help their self should be deported to communist and be forced and told what they can and can’t do.
I used to live in Detroit and one time I got in a car accident on 7 mile. A cop car drove by as it happened and kept driving without stopping. True story.
Never thought I would see a documentary on this! Crazy but true. Born and raised in Detroit, off 7 Mile right down the street from Osborn High. Tough area is an understatement. The hood breeds 2 types of people: those who never want to leave and those who can’t be stopped from leaving. Left at 19 for a better life and never looked back. It’s my city and will always be my hometown but you can’t pay me to visit some of my childhood locations.
I could not agree with the two types comment more. I was born and raised and got out of there at 19. I’m glad for the upbringing because it made me who I am. I have gone back to my childhood home and it’s barely a standing structure. My old high-school (Redford) bulldozed and now a grocery store. It’s sad but also gives you gratitude.

This is honestly really depressing, and eye opening. People ought to see how difficult life is- instead of always seeing instagrams and tiktoks of people living big. It's humbling to know how rough some people got it. What a nightmare it must be.
If you remain in the nightmare for too long, it becomes normal. Humans have a extra acute ability to adapt, and that’s why they stay inside the nightmare as if there is no escape. They just get used to it.

Not all people have this feeling just like a lot of people lack situational awareness so thus is what leads to people being in unsafe areas without knowing

I was a truck driver in the late 90s and delivered a load in Detroit. I didn’t know much then about that city. Parked my truck close to my delivery site. At around midnight, I heard gun fires close by. I left the place and came back in the morning
I delivered there about a month ago and had to ask the gas station attendant how close I was to the trouble. I was fine where I parked, but not by much.. a mile in one direction and I was asking for trouble
April of 2016, I delivered to the orange big box builder's supply on 7 Mile road. The original plan was to sleep somewhere enroute, but heavy fog slowed me down so much, that I had to drive straight through to make my delivery appointment. Parked in the lot in front of the place, and a police chase went right past at 3 AM, and somebody was shooting. Did a search online, and discovered that there had been a murder IN THE PARKING LOT where I was parked a month earlier. When I left, my entrance ramp to I-94 was closed, and I had to reroute. I drove through the neighborhood with burned out and tagged houses for blocks and blocks. White knuckle trip.
@jesse James you’d have to be a trucker to understand. We go to sh*t a** areas sometimes without any forewarning from dispatchers. You probably haven’t heard some of the stories if you’re not in it. No disrespect just reality
I grew up in this area in the '50s and '60s. It was like a small town with nice stores, schools, and libraries. We never locked our homes or cars and everyone looked out for each other. We had people from many different countries as well as some Mexican and blacks. Most men worked in factories, in construction, and for the city. The cops were visible day and night and were active in the neighborhood. I remember sitting on the porch in the summer, sometimes until midnight talking with friends and family. When it snowed the men would go out and shovel the walks, streets, and alleys.
It's obvious that black gangs and drug dealers ruined this city, and the GVT and police have no way to stop drug deals from happening...I feel sorry for all the good, hard working people who've witnessed this yet can't say or do anything because they'd just be called racist and then beaten up by people in town or worse...they ruined it lol

Censor the faces of the criminals, but then film the guys that actually try to capture them? Brilliant. Edit: For those that didn't get it, my point is that the bounty hunters should also have their identity protected.
Its because most of the people who participate in these documentaries are actually informants. If they show the face of the informant, someone recognizes them and gets killed, then HOW will they get the information? Do research on informants and how they are protected. Different laws in different states allow certain kinds of protections and that also means being protected during documentaries in which they are basically selling information to remain in the loop.

I'm not saying it's not dangerous here and I definitely have heard of a lot happening (thankfully never to me) but Detroit is like any other inner city imo. The problem is, you can go get a regular job like I have, but these companies don't wanna pay you a living wage so people do things to supplement their income or make things like selling drugs their job. If these companies would pay a living wage, people wouldn't do stuff like this. And they need to really do something about the schools because they ARE shutting a lot of schools down here and the schools that are here, don't have the funding to really do what they need to do. There also needs to be parenting classes and counseling available because some of the teachers get so ran down by disruptive students due to bad parenting, that they just don't even wanna deal with the students. It's a multi faceted and multi generational problem here and it SUCKS. This documentary makes it seem like there's no hope in Detroit and that's SCARY AF for me.

Black people get cold fast and the heat doesn’t effect us like white people. Black people sleep under the covers in summer. White people wear shorts in the winter y’all can clearly with stand cold better and we can with stand heat better.
I used to go to 7 mile all the time as I had a friend who lived there. You had to think and view things differently than you normally do to stay off these boys radar. Theyd shoot going up and down the road for fun just to show people the power they have. At the same time, there are some very wonderful people in this same area.
It's sad that so many people think there's nothing for them out there. Dying for a piece of dirt. Shame they can't work together to make it better. School is of course important but there are trades. You work hard get an education or learn a trade and be very successful. Selling drugs that only hurt people and ruine many futures. I hope that they figure something out because enough of our youth is being lost to them..
My lord. I’m so thankful I’ve never had to live in a place like this. Fighting and killing over “territory” seems silly and pointless. It’s hard to imagine people really live like this.
Together with his team, they´re following a hot tip about a wanted drug and weapons dealer, and it’s taking them straight into the no-go zone…

Censor the faces of the criminals, but then film the guys that actually try to capture them? Brilliant.
Edit: For those that didn't get it, my point is that the bounty hunters should also have their identity protected.
No reason to protect the one's who protect others
Its because most of the people who participate in these documentaries are actually informants. If they show the face of the informant, someone recognizes them and gets killed, then HOW will they get the information? Do research on informants and how they are protected. Different laws in different states allow certain kinds of protections and that also means being protected during documentaries in which they are basically selling information to remain in the loop.
The criminals wouldn’t be on the show if they weren’t censored🤣

I've never seen that side of Seven Mile. It's bad and of course stuff happens but that's like any inner city. I've lived here most all my life and people make it sound like if you walk out your door in Detroit, you're gonna get shot and that's not the case.
