The ultimate comedy double act. I haven't laughed so much in ages. Great to see you boys back together. Just like the good old days
Yep, don't really care about the car, but their interaction kept me watching to the end. Brilliant stuff.
The Bens Are Back!!!
Thay look like brother
true lol@@louissidnell1657
Seeing Ben laugh like that with Baby Ben is absolutely class !!!
So good to see the Ben's back together, you can see how much it cheered them both up
Banter just like they've never been apart 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
This is probably the perfect car for the job. Especially considering criminals usually steal high powered cars.
Starsky and Hutch, Crocket and Tubbs,
Riggs and Murtaugh…..
Ben and Ben
The UK always does it better! Brill video and so good to see you guys back together 🤘🏻🤘🏻
Oh I absolutely loved this, the Ben’s at their best!

Seeing you two back in a car together love it 😀
Ben Pearson works for West yorkshire police I thought?
And the other Ben is north yorkshire
What a fantastic video. It's great to see yo both together again ...love you guys
Good to see the two of you together. Great video too 🎉
Lovely to see you again Baby Ben x
Thanks for answering my question on the last video about the 4 roof antennas!
You used to be able to buy those tracker devices, not sure if you still can..? I'm a radio amateur and back in the late 80's/early 90's, don't recall exactly, someone in the local amateur radio club, who had more money than sense, bought one, and showed it to us once. No idea what he thought he was going to use it for..!
it was good to see Ben aka Baby ben again Ben and Ben is one of the best teams i have seen grate video mate keep them up
So glad you brought back baby ben
Amazing video as always!!
Aww, the two Ben's together again, banter just like old times 😊
Keep these coming. They’re great!!!!
Outstanding car & goes like a stabbed rat. Thought an estate version (Touring) would have been a better body style given the amount of kit you guys need to carry on board. Also Top vids Ben P
Brilliant 💙💙 my two favourite Ben's
Great video ben!
It depends on the use of the vehicle as to whether they are modified or not. From knowing people that work on the cars and get asked to modify them in the garages that are contracted by the workshops (and what manufacturers are asked for), they have been asked for everything from a switch to turn off the rear lights and to the usual limiter removal, also alterations to tuning for maximum acceleration and even changes to the gearbox software.
When they are supplied as a police package, they have very different suspension, brakes, wheels and tyres, extra wiring harnesses and uprated alternators and batteries. Depending on the make will dictate what equipment and trim level is supplied. Control units and interfaces that work with the CANBUS are also installed ready for attaching equipment to control lights.
So the answer is - YES, even the most basic "panda car" is a different spec to what you would buy as the same model. They have stiffer suspension, trays underneath, sump guards, higher suspension height for speed bumps, different back seats...
The latest thing to be tested in pursuit cars was airbag switches - for when the officers knew someone was going to reverse ram, they could flick the switch and it would disable the airbag activation for 30s. There was also strengthening put on the front and protection around radiators and lights.
Another great video Ben, you two guys are great together, hope he finally let you out! Another great car, are these now replacing the older 330D's then?
This is hilarious guys, really, it's so funny and great to see the two of you, very good for the ratings.🤣🤣 The car is a beast. 💪👊💙
Love the m340i such a beast with a legendary engine
Yet again beautiful car
good video nice to see baby ben again i was howling when he forgot himself and nearly swore haha
Great video ❤
Great video 😊
That was brilliant, great comedy I’m single crude now because you left me that was funny and drop in the F word Great content made me laugh. Thanks, Ben and Ben
Quality episode Ben 😂
Driven one of these on a blue light run, incredible machine
Great video
I’m absolutely loving the content. Is baby ben ex forces? That ribbon looks like it has it’s own story
Weird seeing these 2 together again.
Hi Ben I think it's great that North Yorkshire police are letting you use there cars for your videos, you should get other forces to bring there's on like GMP or Scouse 1's, clearly someone higher up watches your videos and are subscribers within North Yorkshire Police, you should definitely ask other police forces within the country come on to upur shows, you should definitely get more unmarked, like GMP'S Cupras, Audi's, Golf R"s
Great to see the Bens back together again
Seeing the two Bens together has such a homecoming feeling to it!
Like the blue lights on the wing mirror, might get me some of them lol
Why do people still call them wing mirrors when they've been on the doors for yonks..?
Excellent Supervisor vehicle here very capable but don't expect it to get to hands on with TPAC's
Ben are you going to be viewing any other manufacturer as I've definitely seen Cupra Leon & Skoda Octavia VRS Police car's.
The boys are back in town 😂
Ben Pearson Bradford's Finest...👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻💪🏻💪🏻💪🏻
Ben as keep saying great video but love way pushing PTSD on ur platform 👏🏻👏🏻hope ur doing well 👏🏻👏🏻 the 2 BENS are back 👏🏻👏🏻
That B58 is a beast. So smooth.
What’s the white pipe in the engine bay that wraps around ?? Doesn’t look factory ? Some kind of fire suppression?
Old days Benny boy!
Nice bit a' kit! 😎
This is bloody brilliant 😂😂
Ben you used to come in are taxi office. Top guy .
Cracking video
I’ve been lucky to have both the M340i and M340d and they are both absolutely amazing vehicles
I’m looking between them, what’s the biggest difference between the I and the D and which would you recommend?
@@abingdonboy I would have the diesel for the extra 25 MPG and lower road tax. Performance is exactly the same, but the diesel has more soundproofing and weighs about 80KG more. The diesel has a lot more torque so effortless to drive.
It depends on whether you do a high mileage and go on lots of long journeys, if so, get the diesel for the economy. If you are driving around town and going to work and the shops, the petrol is a far better choice. The 20MPG in the town sounds expensive, but the petrol is a lot cheaper than the diesel so with a lower mileage you might be better off, but the road tax is higher!
I got shut of my diesel because of the DPF and software designed to obstruct drivers and make them sell the cars as they broke or trade them in for petrol cars. I now don't have to pay a fortune in diesel to keep the DPF clear and waste time driving 30-40miles every week to keep it unblocked. It never did that before the manufacturers went in to a panic after VW got caught.
@@Bond2025 thanks for the response buddy that’s excellent insight. My use would be a mix of local in the week then 60-80 mile round trips back home on the weekends so I’m torn. I can see that you can get some pretty tasty deals in some very young 340ds from BMW approved used but diesels are clearly on their way out so I’d worry about owning one for the next 3-4 years. Also this would be my first ‘performance’ car so does the 340d have the same sort of exciting engine sound as the 340I? And what’s it sound at idle? Currently got a diesel and it’s not a typical black cab sound at idle, it sounds pretty refined but not sure how bmw diesels go
bmw have poor reliability and build quality
This content just gets better and better, this was very entertaining 👏👌
Yes the Ben's! Been waiting for this reunion!
the "controller" for the light bar, do they still have a PTT button on the side fir the PA (Big shouty thing) ?
North Yorkshire also have a unmarked m340d touring. Sounds soooo good
This car is the dogs!!! Proper motor and ultimate police wagon ! Make these standard across all forces and then it’s game over
Loving these police car reviews, good bit is you know how it all works. There fast cars, better then the volvos
The Volvos where legendary in the day, your right though they don't really have a car that matches the Bmws.
bmw are best for breaking down
@@petervankas1352 shame the cop car bmw set on fire
Hi Ben. Not sure if you read these, however. I’ve got a question for you. What’s the legality of those 4 dimensional number plate you see everyone with now? Gel ones, plastic ones, long, short & coloured etc. is it at the coppers discretion whether or not to book you for them. Thanks
Don't like them myself, but each to their own. I just wish we had the US style of number plates, pressed metal and you can have anything you want on them, as long as it's not rude words. They're a lot more colourful as well, and each state has its own design. We could do that here for each county, it would look brilliant..!
Anyway, 4 dimensions..? Length, width and depth, that's the usual three. Where's the fourth one..? Last time I saw Dr Who, the 4th dimension was time ❓
Do you think you can get the government A6 fitted with the special engine on the channel? The sleeper ones, dunno if the police have them too or just certain teams 🙃
By the way the b58 engines crank case is identical to the b57 diesel units.
What is the tracker system?
I want to know the tracker virginity story! Also why they don't go for estate version for more boot space.
I remember when cops had subarus and evos. And back in the day they had Sierra cosworrhs
Baby Ben, F**k yeh !!
Getting the band back together.
Ben, please review a Police Volvo next!
It’s about DRIVER not CAR xx
What manufacturer meet the BMW for a decent pursuit car?
I thought BMW had stopped supplying cars to the UK Police? Will this be one of the last or does North Yorks have some form of special deal?
Ben ! Remember our generations mental image of a cop growing up and to modern day cops with on open display, arm tattoos and big biceps to skinny moustachios from the 70' & 80s, the pricks from the 90's and the like of the 23 years since 2000.
Thanks enjoyed the video, what i don't understand is British cop cars don't have a barrier between the arrested person and the cops in front of the police car.I know most criminals are cuffed but they could still attack a police officer while driving.Even taxi drivers have a screen for protection, the police need them even more.
What are the max tyre speed rated at?
You two were funny 🤣🤣
Don’t all these cars catch fire?
Great vid btw!
1:45 What's that white pipe round the rim and back of engine?
Looks to be an installed fire extinguisher.
The John Rambo rotational shot of the cops with folded arms pushing their forearms out is a bit embarrassing but apart from that nicely done 👍🏻
What’s the white hose wrapped around the engine in engine bay
Fire Suppression
Any chance of a review of a response teams diesel Astra with 100k + on the clock, chewed steering wheel & battered interior / exterior? 😂
Failing that PSU van?
I always thought the 3 was the model series and the 40 was 4 litre ? BMW are very confusing with their badging.
The traffic police cars are standard. Only modifications generally are suspension for the amount of stuff they carry.
Why have so many west yorks traffic gone to North Yorkshire?
Check out Merseyside police cars. There running some decent cars at the moment. Cupras, a Kia stinger and some decent Skodas
Ben from when you were a Famous personality on Channel 5 sorry Police man you don't look to have aged , since you left ( retired ) time has been cruel on your ex colleague Ben he looks alot older Baby Ben more like middle aged Ben. Regarding the 340i another police BMW with a YJ plate have all Traffic cars in North and West Yorkshire plates starting YJ. Didn't know the 340i was so powerful someone on my street has a 22plare M340i , Traffic BMW 3 series look far better in Estate Form, thanks for another good video, next time Middle aged Ben appears will he look like a pensioner lol.
Ben be great if you could get some of the older skool guys on from the forces that featured in car wars and road wars and X Cars etc...
P C Tim Scothan
P C Fletcher et al
Why has it got no cage dividing the front and back?
We don't have them here. If anyone is kicking off, they go in the back of a van, which does have a cage.
Hey Ben please can you review the arvs please please please please please please please please
Back in 019 I buss chase from this dude
I take it inflation does not factor in to police budgets
Now get nicking criminals and getting villains of the street…Reagan and Carter style!
Pulled over for no tax and insurance but I had it they said it wasn't on their computer I said I used to have a computer like that ha ha ha
Moral of the story, always carry your documents with you, licence and insurance. Should be law in my opinion.
Driven the 340d they go small interior
The folding arms stance of the police... blimey.
I can tell ya but then I’d have to kill ya! What he should of said lol😂
Your under arrest for vehicle interference haha
Baby Ben only gets one sub in the boot 😢
The answer is - MAYBE or even better Definitely maybe ! Of course they are modified - heavily !
If seen a fair few police cars engine bays they look stock i dont think they tune them just unlock the top speed its more about being reliable
@@havefun1226 There's an additional conduit under that bonnet (in addition to what I suspect is a fire suppression system). It could be for the additional blue lights, but could equally be for something else... :-)
@@jandersonhillI noticed that too and was wondering too what that does
@@JParkes43 It looks a lot like the conduit used by the tuning box companies such as DTE and RaceChip, however is also widely used elsewhere (including by OpenReach), so it's not definitive
That's gonna cost a small fortune to fix when it gets broke
you cover Harrogate by any chance, you lot send these down Otley road every day
