- Hi! My name is Angela and during my winter break, I travelled to Vancouver for the first time with my parents. We explored many areas of Metro Vancouver as well as Vancouver Island, seeing many popular attractions and dining at some of the best restaurants. Hope you enjoy!

I just moved to Vancouver from Toronto on last Nov. for my retirement. I love this place very much. The weather is warmer than Toronto, and people are more friendly as well. Like your video. I will try to explore more beautiful places in BC. Take care.

Thanks for sharing. I live in North Vancouver but love seeing where folks go to check out, have fun and great places to eat too. I went to Victoria last year and haven't been back before that for a long time, it's changed a lot and I fell in love with it too.

Great video! Its very awesome to see people really enjoy their time in Vancouver and on the island. As a Vancouverite who has been to most of the places (especially the Holiday Inn Colwood and taking the ferry a few times a month) in the video, it's definitely encouraging to me to appreciate the things that is everyday to me =)

Hi Angela. I just wanted to thank you for this wonderful video! I actually used it as a guide for our road trip last February. We took the same ferry’s to and from Vancouver Island, had the double baked almond croissant at Thomas Haas (divine!), went to Lynn Canyon and even stayed at the same SureStay hotel. All great recommendations. Only major difference was that we had added Tofino to our itinerary, which was also fantastic. Thanks again!!

I am amazed at how much you got done in six days! You hit so many places and so many fantastic restaurants! The Nanaimo bars at Boca are so good! And yes the Lynn Valley suspension Bridge is definitely the one to go to. Fantastic idea

One day in Victoria is NOT enough !!
You needs a minimum of 2-3 days even for us locals !! The ferry ⛴ itself costs over $100 one way so you need to make it worthwhile. Hope you had a great time on the Island for the day though.
Yes, it was a lot of fun, but I would have loved to have stayed for longer. Do you have any other recommendations for Victoria?

Best travel vlog! Giving me multiple ideas on where to go! Gonna be going to Vancouver with my parents for the first time next month on November 5th till the 11th. We flying to Seattle first then we road tripping there. Wish us luck that it dont rain tho. Keep up the good work!

really cool video...especially as i live within maybe like 5-7 min to the 'goats on the roof' place in coombs, bc...I live in errington, which is right next to parksville (which is north of nanaimo around 27 min)....lived here my whole life. and im 32 years old now. I recognized alot of the places as ive been to pipers lagoon (pipers lagoon is REALLY pretty when its a warm summer day!) many times, as well as victoria, nanaimo, vancouver, and many more.

First off, Tacofino hits different. Once a year, I fly in from Calgary to Vancouver and take the ferry across to Victoria. I will be going to Van Island in May 2024. FYi Thomas Haas is a big status place. It's really good but the line is always super long cause people want to flex it on their social media

Thank you so much for the video. I've never been to Vancouver and was planning a trip with the family. Do you recommend getting a rental car or is the public transit pretty good there? I heard that parking at the hotels are very expensive, and that's why I ask. Thanks in advance.
Hi! Parking downtown is very expensive, but if your hotel has free parking, I would definitely recommend renting a car so that you can get to more places like I did. If not, the public transit system is not a bad option either :)

What ferry did you take to go to Victoria, and did you find the Victoria hotels are expensive? Planning to go but haven't check the hotel prices lol
I just took the regular BC ferry and luckily we had points for the hotel, but otherwise yes it can be pretty pricey

how's the parking situation in the city? do you recommend using public transport or renting a car? thank you :)
Parking downtown is quite expensive, but I would still recommend renting a car if you can. It is much more convenient in my opinion.
