- The world is mourning the passing of Queen Elizabeth II. TV networks across the globe interrupted programming to announce the sad news hours after a sudden downturn in the 96-year-old monarch's condition. Jenna Bush Hager was moments from interviewing Prince Charles' wife when they suddenly canceled. Prince William and other family members rushed to arrive at Balmoral Castle to say their final goodbyes to the queen.
Respect for her endurance and hustle as a monarch. The fact that she ruled through so many big events in history and managed to still maintain the U.K in the First World Countries is amazing.

It is the body's natural reaction of shunt the blood away from limbs to preserve the main organs to preserve life. The darkening of her skin on her hand was a for sure sign she did not have long to live.

I noticed this too. Her blood cell inside her body is already exploded that's why black and blue appearing on her skin. This happened to ppl who is dying by sickness. They also seems look so healthy and pretty before few days before they died. But then it took a turn. My grandmother was also like this.

Not only has she been outstanding serving our country as our Queen, she's the only person I know who's served her country in world war 2, and continued to serve us all until her sad death three days ago.

I know she was 96, but I’m still kind of shocked she passed. Just two days ago I saw a picture of her with the new prime minister and she didn’t look too bad. Though she looked a bit frail and had a cane, she didn’t look like she was extremely close to death. There will never been a monarch like her again. 70 years is an incredible reign and one likely not to be repeated ever again. May she R.I.P.

I got kinda annoyed that they said Harry ‘put his feud aside’ and went to catch the queen in her final moments. This is his grandmother, to which the public understood they had a very close and loving relationship. And even in her death the media manages to make it about some of kinda of family dispute or drama, Harry didn’t so happen to be in London he was clearly there for his grandmother because the family were more aware than anyone of her declining health. Making comments such as that is simply a way of minimising their love and family bond to one another.

You know what hurts? Seeing all the homeless people in the streets of Britain while a random lottery family gets millions in dollars for no reason whatsoever.
They broke the mold when they made this beautiful woman. There will NEVER be another like her royal or not. Her service and duty to her country, the commonwealth and her family was just awe inspiring. I will miss her dearly. But I find comfort in knowing that she is with her husband, sister and parents again.

From the moment Prince Phillip died back in April, I know that this day would come, and I am sad to know that she passed sooner than I expected. My thoughts always goes out to her hoping that she will live up to 100, but I think death is inevitable, and I am just glad she finally can rest in peace together with her "King", her love of her life, Prince Phillip Duke of Edinburgh.

Londoner here. I have to say everything is very hushed when you step outside your door. As much as some people still have to work we all have a sad consensus as we get on our respective buses and trains. We've officially entered a 10 day mourning period in the run up to the state funeral. We're truly feeling the loss of our queen especially being in the capital. She was like everyone's mother or grandmother and it hits more because the way the ascension to the throne works works we won't be having another queen for a very long time. RIP Lizzy ❤️

My grandmother was the same age as Her Majesty, and they always seemed to get sick at around the same time. I had a "theory" that their life forces were connected and that, upon the passing of one, the other would soon die. My grandmother died in April 2020. When I heard this morning that the Royal Family was rushing to be by the Queen's side, I remembered that day two and a half years ago, when I dressed in two masks, a face shield, gloves, and a gown to say my final goodbye.
Rest in Peace to Her Majesty. Part of me hopes that she and my grandmother will meet in Heaven.

Had the news on earlier and watched the crowds gather at Buckingham Palace. There was something so very beautiful, watching thousands of people shedding tears for the loss of the Queen. Not because she was gone, of course. But because she was so very beloved by SO many in the UK and beyond. To see how her passing affected everyone...just incredible. May she rest peacefully now that she has been reunited with her prince.
